The bodyguard rose a brow, crossing his ankles, pondering. A human? it's that against the rules here? I mean they're harsher here, anyway. Why would they have an animal as a witness? He mentally thought to himself. Back at home, they didn't ever process court with a human. However, in this country it was different, so anything was possible at this point.
He didn't argue on why Elisabeth was going to be the witness, it honestly wasn't his place. He looked over his shoulder at the ape with common sense. "Hmm, is that so? That poor human was bitten. If we didn't return to her, she would of perish no doubt. In all honesty, Maximus, that human returned to us twice, which was odd. You'd assume a wild human would avoid." He shared, hoping to get some or even one answer.
His head turned, peering at the large cell window, sighing as if exhausted. "Mmm, then she clearly escaped on her own. I'm assuming those barriers are severed?" He questioned, being knowledgable on his Queens' tactics.

Maximus hadn't known that the human had returned to them twice. "Unless this human was smart enough to try to distract Nikita from entering the city. A wild human would stay away from apes. This human possibly viewed all of you as safety. Was she ever armed or had any simple weapons?"
Maximus considered that those were severed. "Severed." He answered.

The bodyguard didn't believe that Elisabeth did that. She was minding her own self inside the jungle until the royal group accident contacted her. Slowly, his head shook, moving his body against the wall. "Nah, she did none of that." He disagreed. "Sir Maximus, a few of the other bodyguards threatened her at gunpoint. They were about to fire, but my Queen stepped in."
His arms folded again, figuring this conversation was going to be a great expanded of time before him or Maximus stop. "After releasing the human, for some strange reason, she got close again, causing me and another guard to search the noise out she caused. We aimed our guns at her but didn't fire. We spoke in our language discussing what we should do." He sighed, adjusting himself against the hard wall. "We believed her to be dangerous, so we brought her to the Queen."
He decided to sit on the floor as his back ached, he glanced back over to Maximus to continue their conversation. "My Queen got her back to the wilds. But, once again, just this time we took the human, after getting bitten." He explained. "So, I think it was more of us colliding with her."

Maximus considered what could have prompted the human to seek them on numerous times and stroked his chin. "Then the human feared something in the jungle." He conceded. "Or she was completely lost and didn't know how to return to her village." That would be one of those reasons why she didn't go back into the jungle.
"The only other reason why she stuck with your Queen is is that she felt safe with her or she felt safe with the bodyguards. The only way to find out what she was thinking is to ask her herself. She is capable of speech I believe."

The bodyguard wasn't sure on Maximus's theory, though it would prove to be the most reasonable. He tapped the tip of his boot against the barrier, sighing, as he was growing bored being contained for a while. His fingers curled onto his bent knee. He slowly shrugged, unsure at this point, and wondered if it really mattered why the human was around.
"I'm not sure what it was that had drawn the deaf creature, but I really don't think it's vital." He smirked, tapping his fingers against his knee. "Though, I must comment on your own people, regardless of my title here." He drew his eyes up at Maximus. "Your patrols in this area, and back at the clearance has no brains." He rose both palms. "No harm was done."
He dropped his head at the floor, wincing with the thoughts of even talking to one of the patrols for future events. His head shook once. "That prison patrol that you hollered at for an order. He kept pestering me, trying to fire me up. I gotta say...you have morons in here as well. What happened to this country? Because your army would cream us at times. But, now? Why complete a treaty with brainless apes?" He chuckled.

Maximus wasn't in the least offended because clearly, every ape was entitled to his opinion and whether or not he would believe him or not. But perhaps their fates rested on the human. "Your fate may be resting on this human because she has vision, I am sure. Her deafness is her hindrance. But her vision seems and appears sharp. If she was observant long enough to know what happened, then maybe she will work in you, your Queen's, and her family's favor." It was rare that a human would actually observe what was going on around them. "If the human wasn't there, you wouldn't be delayed in your efforts to come into the city."
Maximus continued. "Also, being delayed in arrival, could have prevented some form of disaster with your party."

Nikitta was correct, the law enforcement expanded as each would notify others in the area. It would take an intense miracle to have the Queen escape without being apprehended. Great numbers of police in vehicles, and on foot tailed after the escapee. They knew with high regard this prisoner would be easily caught.
Once Nikita turned down an alleyway to prevent from being arrested, little was she aware that numerous cops would linger in the shadows as they learned over decades what apes attempted to do. A few law enforcement rose their guns, slowly approaching. "Remain where you are, or we'll take fire." One of them warned.

The Swedish bodyguard peered over at the window, appalled at the ratio compared to others he's been around. He swayed his head towards the cell entrance. "A human? You're playing around, right? Since when does this country allow humans to testify? I mean they're animals." He rose a brow, locking his fingers across his belly. "Vigilant? Of course, they're vigilant, the majority of animals are. Why wouldn't the female be aware? That jungle is dangerous."
A soft shake of his head, the bodyguard lightly rocked his crossed ankles. "I highly doubt that. That female was the cause of all this, as having a collarless human is a massive no." A swift eye-roll, and sighing. "Wish my Queen left her in the wilds."
"Severed you say?" He repeated, recalling what Maximus had enlightened him. "Yeah, by the appearance of your bars, I'd say she can easily slip through, not to mention the size any large ape could slither through." He quietly added, after scrutinizing the cell window again. "What will happen to my Queen since she escaped?"
***
The Queen grimaced, annoyed at the witness of the law enforcement, also being crafty in how they deal with escaped convicts. Being defenseless, having only one weapon that would kill one, Nikita stunningly gave in. She highly didn't expect to patrols to be where she was trying to bolt.
Slowly, her palms rose, smirking with dark intentions. "You got me." She uttered.

Maximus spoke, "It's rare that a human testifies on the benefit of your queen and yourself." He frowned, as the guard was blaming the poor human. "What if she frees all of you by her testimony alone? If you don't get out, she'll go to the cages and be sold. I haven't heard of her testimony yet because she's with Zephram at this moment."
Maximus knew that the bodyguard wouldn't really care about the human and was still blaming a deaf human for all their troubles. "We'll get you out as soon as possible. If Nikita chooses to keep the human, might I suggest you treat her with a little more respect?"
Maximus left the cell block and went to gather the materials to take to the council.
