Maximus shook his head, "These humans never learn. They're really wild when together. Maybe we should have used chains." He suggested. "Harder to get out of."
Then he noticed Melanie dangling off the ground, looking pale as a ghost. She did not look too good. But he let Zaius deal with her. His gaze turned to Venus, who gave up on her weapon.

He gave a cursory glance towards Kratos and Maximus. They were distracted and he hid his scalpel. He was not close enough for the gun. And if he reached for Zaius' gun, he would be seen. His gaze went to the gun on the floor. It was within reach. But could he shoot some ape? It would be for sure a sentence to prison or even death row. He hadn't any idea how to shoot that gun. The moment he lunged, is the moment they would know...So he reached up into a podium and took a gun. He knew it was probably on stun. He aimed and shot Kratos. After all, it was a huge target.

Maximus obtained the downed gun and gave it back to the patrol. "Always secure your weapon. These humans are unpredictable." What he hadn't noticed that Maxwell had slipped his collar and his leash was lying on the ground. He glanced over to his podium and noticed something missing from his podium. Then he heard something. "Kratos! Look out!"

Kratos folded his arms leaning over more of the podium. "Now, now, Rowan one of these three is yours, why leave? That's not right to just leave unless you wish not to have him?" He questioned as Maxwell unknowingly was sawing at the collar. He was too absorbed with Rowan to even note.
As he waited for the response of Rowan, he curiously glanced over and noted Venus has submitted to her knees, or the shock really hurt. Slowly Kratos turned over to Rowan, but the sudden warning caused Kratos to leap back, and backhand whatever was to the side. The electricity shot at the podium, causing a strange circuit through the mic.
He winced, watching Maxwell crash to the surface. "Guards! Arrest that ape-raised human!" he ordered. His paw rose. "Actually...don't," he eerily muffled. He grappled his throat and dragged him into the back where the council was waiting. "I want a metal collar, regardless of the damage to the neck, with a sturdy cord!" He hollered as he stormed inside.

Venus cringed a little longer as the intense shocks dissipate to nothing. She remained on her knees, secretly observing Maximus retrieving then informing the patrol. Her vigilant eyes bounced over to Maxwell, by that time he released The shock, but Kratos was notified by Maximus. She winced as Maxwell was being smacked and harshly drag. She surveyed around and detected a stun gun. She stared at it, waiting for the correct time to snatch.

Zaius slowly placed Melanie on her knees, after Maxwell bravely took the shot at the President. His head shook, looking back down at Melanie. "I don't want any issues like that." he says, peering over to Galen. "Since she's yours, do you mind if I punish her in different ways, without smacking? I'm sure you had fun on the way here."

Galen was surprised by the bravery Maxwell exhibited. But the ape-raised man just tried to 'shock him' and not kill? Then the thought occurred. He didn't know what he was doing.
Then he glanced over to Zaius. "Silas did all the punishing of her, but I have given her warnings. It seemed to not do any thing to convince her that her actions have consequences. After this tribunal, I think I'll give her to the cages. She's caused so much trouble that I don't believe I can handle her."

Maxwell hadn't expected that to happen and a strange noise erupted from the mic. He expected the ape to go down except he wasn't counting on Maximus to actually yell out a warning to him. The backhand caught him upside the head instead of his face. He saw stars as he fell to the floor. This time, he didn't really have his hands to protect his fall. His head bounced on the floor.
Then he felt himself being lifted by the throat and then dragged. He had a dazed look on his face.

Melanie was glad that she was no longer dangling in the air. She couldn't speak against anything that was being said or pleading with him. She didn't want punishments as she hadn't done anything but speak her mind. Melanie moved to stand up. She tried to go as far as the leash would allow. She most certainly did not want any punishments! And Melanie was white as a ghost so he was totally oblivious to the fact that she would most certainly not take the next set of anything doled out to her.

"I always wanted an ape-raised human because of my young sister who is also human. I felt it was always a good idea to 'teach' or apprentice a human to our family. But seeing that Maxwell is something of a problem- I can't have him coming home and with all the action against you and the council- it's like he doesn't know who you are or what you represent. He may not know who you are. So retaliation may be the only way he's protecting himself and the girls? We don't know what he's thinking, really." Rowan followed him into the back.
A guard came forward with a metal collar and placed it about his neck. Then a sturdy cord was clipped. The human's neck was going to possibly be hurting if he tugged him around.

Maximus shook his head and lifted up Venus by the collar. He knew that the shock did something to her. He followed behind Kratos. "Coming, Zaius?" He asked, intrigued by how much more tamer Melanie was. But he wouldn't put it past her. "Oh. Please look after the human, Melanie. She looks drained."
Maximus knew she was on a leash and his thoughts were on a suitable punishment for her. He had already showed her that a muzzle meant business. But she seemed so determined to threaten his life. With a gun no less. Inside, he was fuming with fury. But do the fact that he had kept his anger in check for so long that he gave a narrowed glance at the human in front of him. Her threats would've come into fruition and he would be worse off. He narrowed his eyes into slits at the human. "If you think your owner was worse? I am the most feared ape that all humans fear and will not mess with." His cruel nature emerged. Harsh. "Your owners punishments will seem like a field day compared to what I do to defiant humans." He also had a cold voice that would make any human shiver with fear. It was the kind of voice that no ape or human would cross him. "I use a method that works. I can withdraw your simple necessities, but I won't because that would be neglectful and harsher than that. Spending days in solitary confinement may be the best thing! No contact whatsoever and you would enjoy your time in that confinement."

Kratos used an arm as Rowan slipped through to the back door. He listened to Rowan as he kept it opened. "Mmm, perhaps it's not too late. Possibly, after his punishments and trial, he just might recoup to a better ape-raised human. If not, then he can live his life out as a dog." He snorted.
Maximus's death glare, and cold threats caused Kratos to glance over. He awaited for his council member to end his agreeable warnings. After, he fingered Maximus to head in. "Come, we can discuss his and her punishment. Since they can't really respond back."
He peered over to Zaius. "Come when you like, or remain out."
He entered through the back door after Maxwell received the harsh equipment to his neck.
It was quiet, but he seated himself, releasing Maxwell. "Alright, so we're aware of what we witnessed out there. Though the evidence is thin for Maxwell to severe an arm, but almost electrifying me might prove otherwise." his hand swayed over to Venus. "That human killed her original owner without doubt, attacked hunters, and finally threatening Maximus with an arsen." he shook his head. "Of course there's worse out there, like the one last week."

Maxwell attempted to put as much distance as he could from Kratos and the rest. He didn't particularly think he was a bad ape raised human. He just didn't understand why he couldn't be compassionate and caring for his own? Were they human, too? He was thinking all of this. Not really wishing for any words to escape from his mouth. He was uncomfortable anyway. With a cold metal collar now and a sturdier leash. The metal made it harder for him to move his neck and if he did look- down- the collar would dig right into his lower neck.
As much as he wanted, the thing that would prove to be damaging would be his next punishment. An entire life-time spent as an 'animal' with a metal collar. A much better ape-raised human that - wouldn't ever get out of this city!

Zaius grasped the leash, luring Melanie closer to him, trying to display dominance over her fear. He sighed, with a slight shake of his head, "now, now, Galen, don't give in that easily. Clearly, this runt doesn't like to have her scars revealed." He grasped her chin, facing it at Galen. "They break eventually, besides if you can't handle a very wild animal, then how can you master yourself of being a hunter?" He asked. He heard Kratos. He looked over, responding, "on my way." He glanced over to Galen, nodding, "all humans have a weakness, you just need to find it," he stated, walking to the backdoor to join the others. He was the last one seated. He released the leash to allow Melanie to travel a good distance. He sat down, glancing around. "I agree, Kratos, these three have been a nightmare. Melanie seemed to oddly stop, then again I had her in the air. But, the recent threats, that's just going too far. Especially when Maxwell tried to shoot you."

Galen:
He nodded in agreement. "It's not me I worry about...It's my girlfriend. I can handle her, but my girlfriend is very gentle and sweet. This one is like she's on a personal mission to go somewhere." Then he remembered her having a sister. "She- has a sister named Carol." He frowned. "Ever since they were separated, she's been fighting myself, Silas, and every hunter in the group."
Melanie:
She didn't like being lured and forced to look at Galen. She tried to move her face out of his grasp. Since she couldn't talk or tell anyone about the pain and no one noticed that with every passing second, her face was getting paler.
Galen:
He hesitates on wondering if he should remove the muzzle from her mouth, but before he could do anything, Zaius left with Melanie being taken to the back room.
Melanie:
Was relieved that the leash was let go so she could wander. She found herself walking over to Maxwell and gestured to her muzzle. Hopefully, he could take it off. But would he know how to take off the stupid thing.
