Galen walked into the army bases' barracks where his friends were waiting for him. They all began to flood him with questions about how his first hunt went. Well, he was more than eager to talk about his hunt and that it was successful. He asked where his girlfriend was, but sadly, she had been shipped out early this morning so that meant he was alone with his human.
He also had tomorrow morning at 4 AM for his early morning routine and would have to find time to take care of his human. The early morning routine wouldn't be easy to adjust to.
"So- you have a human pet now? Where is it?"
When he turned, he noticed no human was behind him. The leash was behind some boxes. He shook his head. "Maybe we should wait until she adjusts to meet others."
Hummingbird or Kratos is welcome to join in if you wish.

Melanie had other plans and didn't want to meet any other apes. It was just after the Tribunal that she began to find places that would shield or hide her appearance. The only time she would ever- come out is if she was tugged. It seemed that her head was ringing with Kratos' warning about being tried if she broke any of the laws.
She'd become anti-social instead which wasn't a good thing and she wasn't interested in showing off her talent.
Melanie sighed. It was no use anyway. She'd just be used for target practice. It'd put her into shock her even more.

It had been a few days since Norrix had took Venus and Maxwell in from near-death conditions. He was finally returning from his very short vacation. He hadn't told anyone about the two unknowingly fugitives. The only one was aware was his close servants. It would be sometime before they recovered fully.
A familiar ape was in the sights of Norrix as he was done appointing to an issue in the area. Before he went to greet Galen once more, he'd easily detected the strung out leash. Curiously, he ventured over to the stacked equipment.
He amusingly smiled, tilting his head for a moment. "And what are you doing in hiding, young pup? I can assure you, if you just have confidence, listen, and not easily be torn down. You'll survive here," he states a few things, then wanders away from her.

Melanie didn't believe what the gorilla said. She watches before taking out a box cutter. She began to saw the 'leash' so she could be released. No one would keep her on a leash. Not some animal and didn't care for it. When she finally was freed from the leash, she quickly put her end under a box. Keeping to the boxes, she began to 'walk' away. No one would know.

Galen noticed Norrix and waves a little. He was still holding onto the leash, not noticing what Melanie had done. Her scent was still in the air. Meaning, she was still there. Of course, being with his friends was good and talking about how he hunted and was successful in finding his first human pet.

Fresh humans were stressful dealings, especially the new ones. Being very disobedient, carrying that determine of freedom, and believing they are in charge. Some are easy to break, while others simply won't back down. If one of the humans break their three to five strikes, depending on the rank, are sent to the labs or Target Practice.
It didn't take much for Norrix, who remained nearby for a moment to catch the faint sawing noise. It was bothering to his earlobes, he cringed. Only a few noises caused his ears to lower. Scratchy was one of them. In one glance over his shoulder, he caught the hiding human severing the leash. She wasn't that foolish was she?
He crossed his massive arms together, smirking with pure amusement. "You won't get far," he blandly mentions as if it was common. "Use as many tactics as you desire, I assure you, you will fail," he clarifies, walking over where Galen was boasting about his catch. It wasn't his human.
"Galen, I'd like you to gather Bartu, and the others to headquarters, I'd like to discuss a possible mission, one dealing with those lowlife Renegades," he snorts, continuing to stroll. He pauses, elevating a finger, "oh, I advise you to watch your new catches," he implies.

Yes. Melanie was that foolish enough to try to sever the leash from her neck. She didn't care what it entailed nor didn't know anything about their 'strikes system'. It finally came loose and she breathed a sigh of relief. At last! Freed from that contraption. Now- to find a box to hide in. She found an open box and climbed right into it. She fitted the lid onto the box, with a satisfied grin. There was no way- she was going to be a pet or a 'target' to some ape's idea of fun.
When she believed she had her- privacy and -upcoming freedom, she found herself wiping her eyes. She'd never see Carol again. It was all her fault, she believed...Beating herself up even. She was silent as she heard someone speak about going away on a mission and keeping his human in check.
She held her breath, hoping they would not find her.

Galen stopped talking to his friends about his catches. "Oh! I'll go get Bartu." Then he saw the leash and gave it a light tug. What he hadn't expected was a cut leash and it's end smacked him in the face. "Arghh!" But it didn't really hurt him. His friends laughed lightly. "Feisty as ever." Galen needed to find his human, but it was actually hiding in the boxes. Which one? He did not know. A mix of odors. "I don't believe this human."

Melanie was well hidden and she believed that no ape would really harm her like Zaius, or Kratos, or even Silas. The thought of Silas sent a chill down her spine. He had taken out all his anger on her. She just didn't want to get hurt, but being with gorillas or even a orangutan really frightened her.
She held her breath.

Norrix listened to Galen willingly obey. Such a fine ape, especially for his young age. Still learning he was. Reason why Norrix didn't become upset by his disobeying human. Might of been better to get one already dominated. But it appears he enjoys hard challenges.
He smirks, shaking his head, yes, he does need time to learn. Should he really bring the young soldier along? Is he even ready? Pah! Every young ape has to learn now or later. The sooner the better.
He shifts his head, looking over his shoulder, "oh, please, no humans this time. It was a nightmare when a cadet brought a new human in the meeting. It was awful." He snickered, quite amused from it. He was stressed and annoyed when it happened, however.
He notes a motioning box. Might be good to notify Galen where his female concealed to. Mm, might be better have him seek and learn.
"Galen, once you obtain her. Use a leash that doesn't have the ability to be severed. Could add a chip as well." he walks off.

Galen trusted his nose, noticing that the box- was moving. Well, that was easy. He opened the box up and smirked. "Haha. There you are Melanie. Is this some kind of new game for you? It won't work in your favor."
Fortunately, he wasn't mad at her. Then he drew her out by picking her up by the arm. He dragged her out of the box, and snickered. "I can lock her up in my barracks." He spoke to Norrix, proudly. "After all, she's my first human!" He was very proud. "And-" He decided that it wasn't really all that much to boast about. "Never mind." He was smart, but to boast about his accomplishments in the hunting party- wouldn't really matter in the Army, now would it? He didn't know.
"Right. A leash that won't be severed and a chip."

Melanie didn't realize that they would sniff her out so quickly and that she was enjoying herself. Then she growled when she found she had been found. "Grrr. Let me go you big brutes!" She found herself slapping Galen's arm. He may have been gentle, but it wasn't to her arm. "Oww..You big brute. Don't you think about using me for what that egotistical orange tang said..." Her voice had carried on over the chuckles. "Stop laughing you brutish fool."
She growled about a chip and a leash that won't be severed. "I'll not let anyone touch me ever again."

Bartu naturally walked down where the supplies. Maybe a few items to use for the newcomer. Maybe Aaron might want to join the forces? As he was about to approach a certain box, his ears caught two familiar voices. Then his vigilant eyes detected Galen retrieving his human. He couldn't help but chuckle. He remained were he was, observing. "Galen, did that human just outsmart you? Oh, and why bring a fresh catch here?" He confusingly questions. "I mean it's no bad, just a very stressful add on to you, here." He amusingly looks over to Melanie. "Sounds like a fun handful."

"Yes, she did." He admitted. "But I didn't know where to leave her." He also admitted to Bartu.
"Where do you leave your human when you're away on missions?" He finally asked. It was adding stress onto her, he knew that. He was eager to figure things out, but often his friends would chime in when needed. "She's funny and a handful. General Norrix recommended a tag and a better leash. She tried to hide in a box."
