The Hunter and the Soldier (Open)

Aaron walked around, having a little more free reign in the city as he was still a youngster. He wandered around the cages, looking for a particular handler named @rowan . He hadn't seen any other ape come in yet.

He wanted to find out about how to get a human. He was particularly shy around newcomers and this was just out of his - comfort zone. To visit a place where humans were- he wondered what went on here. He spotted Bartu and ran over to him. "Bartu Bartu Bartu. Can you take me horseback riding today?" He had to ask the gorilla since he was kind of familiar with the large gorilla. He was probably in the wrong place at the wrong time. "Oh...and please?" He liked horseback riding more than anything and maybe one day, he'd learn how to be an excellent rider. "I got straight A's and my ape parents were pleased."

Bartu wasn't in the finest of mood, but that wasn't common. He just lost his rights to the human he caught, and was more annoyed then normal. Heavily, he casually strolled down the rows of endless cages. He entered a specific section for his liking. His eyes noted Connor, even the human cowered like a frightened deer. He snorts, enjoying scaring the adult. Just as he was going to approach the human, another one scurried in front. He sighed. It was Aaron, an ape-raised human. Surely he did not want to grant Aaron's wish. However, he reluctantly nodded. "Yes, but later." he swiftly replies, then adds, "the weather seems nice, so why not?" he heard Rowan walk behind. in agreement, he asked Aaron too, "what are you doing here? Searching for a dog?"

Connors wish for being left alone was ignored. Oh goodness! Can't these crazy apes leave him alone? Especially - a free- human asking a 'gorilla' to go horseback riding. "Oh for crying out loud...Grow up! You're like 18 years old and should act your age." He groused to no one in particular. It was just one of those days he wished he had found his family members. This truly sucked.

"Oh for crying out loud. A large gorilla -" He shook his head. "Wants a human."

"Great. I look forward to our horseback riding trip." He glanced over to the human rat and studied him.
"Well, he looks like a fine specimen of a human." He finally said after a few moments of silence. "Look! He has something around his finger." Aaron indicated. "It looks like a ring."

He continued to look at the human. "It'd be funny if a ape-raised human wanted a human pet, wouldn't it?" He asked.

Bartu nodded, agreeing. It has been awhile since he took time to himself once again. Plus having company would be spike the enjoyment. "I looked forward doing it too. Do you have yours nearby?" he questions Aaron, while examining the foolish adult in front of him. He had already noted the ring. The shimmering metal would be easy detection. He wickedly smiled, taking a step closer. "Mm, I won't remove your precious ring as long as you obey. If you don't...I'll extract your precious metal off." he warns, looking back at the handler. "If Aaron won't take him, I can." He looks over. "No it's not silly. Why would you think that?"

Connor glared. "You will not touch my wedding band." He spoke loudly. "I'm not a dunce of what you intend to do. You'd chop off my finger to obtain my wedding band." He hid the band from sight. "You ever touch my wedding band, I'll never do what you want."

The handler nodded. "I'll give him to you for $300."

Aaron went on to explain why. "I crashed Zeke's family vehicle by accident." He finally admitted. "He doesn't want me to get behind the wheel until he feels I'm ready. But I feel ready to drive." He said. "I thought of joining the Army or becoming Maximus' apprentice."

He liked his choices.
