Aaron was pushed into a bare cell and a force-field prevented him from exiting out of the cell. It was cold, dreary, and totally devoid of any color. It was grey walls and no single comfort. A high window with bars was just out of his reach unless he climbed up on the only seat or bed in the cell.
Aaron found himself sighing and sitting down on the bed. He rested his hands on his cheeks. There was no way he was going to get out of this situation whatsoever and now that every ape was occupied with their job, he was occupied with his own thoughts. "Was it really worth choosing apprenticeship with a council member and keeping Zeke as my guardian? Maybe if and when I get out- I'll just go to the River Bank and live with the fishermen there. At least they didn't seem to have any issues with me."
Aaron seemed to ignore the guards looking in on him. He wasn't interested in what those guards did or said. He primarily ignored them. He was deep in thoughts that he didn't care what they thought of him.
"I'll never get out of here." He thought. "I'll lose my apprenticeship with Maximus and wait until all of my 'ape friends' hear about this. Wait until Zaius hears about this...Wait...Zaius doesn't care about humans. Even if they're ape raised!"
Aaron continued to think about his 'ape-raised' status. It seemed like it was a waste of time to be educated and treated as an ape. Then his thoughts drifted to Kratos. He had been so eager to meet him, but not like this. He wasn't even a criminal. He obeyed all the overlords and hadn't been a disobedient human. Now he was made out to be a criminal just because he learned that this Maxwell had the same hair and almost the same face. But the thing is? He never met this Maxwell. He had never even heard of him before today.
Aaron sighed again.
