Kidding me?
Was he seriously going to be owned by yet another non-pet human? No way in hell! Once she had stopped squeezing he heard the other gorilla and ran for it. He wasn’t going to do this - screw this whole thing, he was no moron and he sure as hell was no pet to another human.
He was hoping that they’d see him as some sort of kid exercising honestly. He didn’t need to do much to confuse any of the apes, just say that he was lost. Wandered off from home. Again - his clothes were ape clothes and no one would probably think twice.
“Later.” He chuckled under his breath.

Rowan wasn't surprised. The human would learn the hard way. The citizens believed he was an ape-raised human by his clothes and Rowan took off after his human. He was quickly gaining on him and leaped- right into his path. The thing is? Rowan had a short temper when he was angry. He wasn't angry, but with a stern look, he reached out simply and plucked his human in mid-stride. He clutched his shirt, which would not tear. It was impossible.
He gave a growl. "You are a foolish boy to run." Without further ado, he purposely walked back into the house, Kracker in tow. "Bad Kracker. You will learn that you cannot get away from your masters." Many of the apes were watching. "New adopted human. He has some things to learn." He alerted them. "Carry on."
He carried Kracker right back into the house and dragged him to the bedroom. He pushed him in and shook his head as he closed the door. Next thing, he latched the door. "I think you should stay in here and think about what you just have done."
Then he left the room's door. "Sneaky human." His sister said. "Like I would want a scrawny pet like that. Maybe Galen could take him and use him for - target practice?" She asked, not sure.
"Nah. It would petrify the puppy. This is better. Let him think twice about crossing me."

Bad Kracker? He wanted to growl but he instead shouted.
“Help I’ve been kidnapped! See me? I’m not wearing a collar or pet clothes! Let me go!”
He only gave up once he was in the house. And better yet, when he was inside the bedroom. Of course, this time it was locked and he groaned. Beating on the door a bit. “Let me out! I just want to go home!” He shouted. “Let me out!”
After about ten minutes, he’d finally given up with a huff as he slunk down and sat. He wondered how long he had to “think about it”. He sure as hell wasn’t thinking - though he was beginning to give up hope of actually getting out of here.

Rowan shook his head, hearing Kracker pound on the door, yelling "Let me out and I just want to go home!" Well, to Rowan, he was already home. But he didn't tell him that so he continued on with fixing something for the human. Then all went quiet which meant Kracker was probably thinking about what he had done. Then again, he clearly believed he could run away.
Rowan began to think. Latching all the exits were probably a good idea. Especially tonight. The alarm would be set too. But they only set it after all the family were in the house. He walked over to the door and set it. It was out of reach.
He heard a ding and went over to get the food for the pet. Perhaps once he got something in his stomach, he'd feel much better. He unlocked the door to his room and put the plate on a table. Plastic silverware was on the side of the plate. He didn't quite trust him with silver silverware.
Without a single word, he left the room again and latched it. "Can't have you attempting escape again." He mumbled.

Food.
Oh god he hadn’t eaten in so long obviously. He pulled the food over and dug into the food quickly. It wasn’t bad, though he still was very frustrated as he finished it. Licking his lips and laying his head down on the pillow of his bed not long after.
He knew they’d lock and arm the house probably so even if he got out of the room... Ugh.
He was stuck. And he wondered if they’d even give him regular clothes like this anymore. He knew humans had clothes to make them stand out and that would be the end of it. “Can i get out of this room at least?” He grunted. “Probably planning to keep me in here until he’s more ready. Smart ape..”

Rowan listened and shook his head as he unlocked the door. "Have you thought about what you did?" He asked. "If you did, then you can come out. Otherwise, if you hadn't, then you will be locked in there the whole night." It was the only way to get the point across.

Kracker stood to his feet.
It was a little surprising that the ape had told him to come out. But he still tried to keep his calm. But he still made his way toward the ape, and stepped out of the room while attempting to keep his calm. “I’ve gotten trying to run out of my system if that’s what you mean,” he murmured. “I don’t expect you to believe that though. I’ve seen what happens when pets try to use regular clothes to their advantage.” He grunted.
After a long moment. “I’m not happy with this. And I’m just going to patiently wait out this stupid new law,” he explained. “Then you’ll have to give me back.”

Rowan shook his head as that new law will not be reversed any time soon. Or ever. "That will not help your case." Rowan said. "Because you can't just wait for that law to be reversed. You'd be old enough to either be set free or remain an ape raised human, apprenticed out to an ape family. Consider this as your apprenticeship then in 5 years."
He stepped away. "Oh. One more thing. Don't attempt to flee again. You don't want to see me when I'm angry. Trust me."

Ugh.
He hated the way that that sounded. He was basically stuck as the pet to this ape then. And he was definitely his pet - with the more angry he became the more he was wanting to make him happy. Or this could go on well... Forever. “Fine then. Are you going to go over what my job here is?” He asked. “Are you one of those apes that bought me to just sit in your lap and look cute? Something to play with?”
He then added. “I already get that at home I’m a family dog. But I don’t even know the first thing about being one,” he explained. “You’re going to have to teach me from the ground up. I wasn’t ever there when ones would get told the rules and all.”
He was following him very slowly though.

"You're a family pet." He said. "But since you established me as alpha, I'm going to lay a few ground rules. 1: No sneaking out anymore. Once you get your pet clothes and collar, the patrols will know you're a pet and no longer an ape raised human." Rowan walked downstairs. "2 bedtime is at 8:30 PM sharp. 3 if you're outside, you are to stick by me, or the family. 4, we don't always have to have you on a lap unless you need help or comfort which I doubt you'll ever accept." Rowan was a little cold about that. Because it was evident. He didn't like them. At all.
Rowan stepped into the family room where his sister was flipping through the channels on a TV. She was engrossed in a movie about a bunch of ape-raised children were in a camp that were digging holes. It was old movie, but she enjoyed it.
"And 5, do as you're told."

He listened intently.
It made a lot of sense to him - or at least most of it did. But he actually had to admit that... He had liked the lap when he’d been in it. So a part of him had hoped they might keep it up. “... I was only scared of the lap at first. But the wya you held me was so gentle,” he admitted. Honesty in his voice. “I had actually hoped I’d get more time in it.”
It was the first time he’d acted like a proper pet since he got there.
After a moment he admitted. “But yes, I’ve recognized you as my alpha or whatever. Shouldn’t I? You’re the one who bought me,” he then added. “I might be a family pet but you’re my master. So technically I answer to you.” He shrugged.

Rowan sat down in a chair. He had never thought of a human sitting on his lap. Only one who actually did was Olivia. She would and he'd always be the older brother to her.
Olivia looked at them both, to watch their interaction. An amused look on her face. She couldn't wait to see what Kracker would do. "Come sit and watch a movie with me?" She asked, Kracker. She had a bowl full of popcorn next to her. Of course, she was always sitting on the floor. They never treated her like a pet. Wouldn't ever give her up. Olivia was a valued member of their family.

Kracker couldn’t believe it, was he actually ignoring him.
When she invited him over, he actually felt his stomach twist. Oh god, if he didn’t get Rowan back on his side she may get what she wanted. Hell hi. Just Hell no.
So he simply walked over to that chair and swallowed every ounce of his pride. His voice caught in his throat at first but he finally found it. “Please, Rowan. I’m sorry for what I did. Honest,” he explained a bit nervously. “I can be a good pet to you I swear.” He noted.
As a symbol of fealty, he even got on his knees and did a slight bow. It was humiliating as hell - but hopefully worth it in the end.

Rowan wasn't really ignoring him. He was waiting to see what Kracker would do. Whether he would choose to sit on his lap or be by his side. He didn't seem annoyed, upset. "Oh. That? It's fine." He wasn't annoyed with his behavior. He chalked it to fear. Fear of what he had been taught. "What's done is done. No harm no foul."
Olivia felt she was being ignored. "Pah. Never mind! I'm going to bed!" She stood up, took the bowl of popcorn and went into the kitchen to put it away. She said goodnight to her parents before going to her room and it wasn't even time for bed.
Rowan figured she'd go read a book.

Kracker was thankful when he gave the response.
But he still had a feeling he was waiting on something. After a moment he realized what it might have been - getting up on his lap. Was he going to do it or go to bed himself? The bile went up in his throat as he knew this would mean submitting to his fate.
But still, he was big and he hadn’t yet learned how to climb up. So he calmly stood and patted his leg. “M... May I please be in your lap, Rowan? I’d very much like to sit down.” He said. As honestly as he could in a very shaky voice.
The girl had left and honestly? He felt a little bad. Thinking of whether or not he should apologize.
