A Human Puppy V2 (Open)

Rowan noticed he didn't want to be owned by the family. Well, in essence, he didn't have to be. But he figured he could use stability of a family environment, but he didn't want it. "You're not since I paid for you." He explained. "But I felt you would benefit better in a family setting." He wanted him to feel at home, but it seemed he wanted closure. "No cages. They're hard to clean."

Rowan thought about his lap dog duties. The only thing is? He didn't want him to always have to sit on his lap. "That is a lousy way of treating humans by making them sit on the floor. It's not always a warm place either, especially during the summer time. I try to give all the humans something warm to wrap themselves in and even give them hot teas."

Rowan then mentioned, "You don't have to always occupy a lap. I don't know what other owners do to their human pets. As for entertainment such as watching TV, and playing is beneficial for a growing young puppy." He kept his thoughts about the new law. They would be primarily occupying their time trying to please their owners more than playing.

"When they gesture or pull you on theirs, like I just did. But mostly a choice for you." Rowan wasn't sure about school and pets. Would they still attend or was that totally wiped out with this law. A pet needed to - learn how to read, write, and socialize. Even as well as having enrichment in life.

The things he was thinking was the day all ape-raised children needed to learn lessons. These children were going to face some possible detrimental milestone. Their own possible decisions. Choices.

Rowan shifted so that he could be more comfortable. "To learn- one must make their own choices whether it'd be right or wrong. If you don't have a choice, then you'd be completely reliable on me or my family. You'd be like an infant who can't walk, talk, nor eat on their own." It was horrible that most apes liked to keep other pets and treat them like infants. "I don't like seeing pets being fed by their owners. It's like seeing an adult human becoming unable to care for their own needs. There's a difference between treating their humans like infants and treating their humans with a little more respect."

This human needed safety and comfort more than awful degrading treatment. Where Kracker had lived before, he didn't know. And wondered if he should search for them.

"I was wondering. Where did you live before the cages after your 'father' was arrested?"

"Treats? Do you like popcorn?" 

Rowan was thinking about petting him, but patted him lightly on his back. "Don't worry about being petted. I have seen so many pets being petted, put into dog suits, and humiliated in public." He wasn't about to do any of that to a child. Humiliating a pet in public was embarrassing as it is. A pet humiliated in public would actually be shy and withdrawn. It would make the human think they were less than human. "Ugh." He was thinking and finally said, "I can't stand seeing public humiliation of pets." He shook his head.

"I think Kratos is foolish, in all honesty. Ape guardians will start to pull their children out of the schools to save them from being carted off. Your guardians should have kept you instead." Maybe he could return him to his guardians, but what if they gave him up again?

He shook his head. He'd be putting his job on the line if he searched for the records. Maybe he could get help from Zephram. Since he was the director of human affairs and pulled much strings.

"Should still be warm and on the counter." He set Kracker on the seat next to him and stood up. He walked into the kitchen to get the popcorn that Olivia had put into the kitchen before leaving for her room. He walked back into the living room with the bowl.
