“I don’t want to see the vet.”
It was still really stupid, calling the doctor the vet. He had been with the ape a few days, Titus was his name. And quite frankly this was bull crap. He definitely didn’t need to be seen. And he definitely didn’t need his microchip.
He shifted on the lap frustratedly and shook his head. “Do I have to do this? Really? I’m fine,” he explained. “Look at me, I’m healthier than a horse. I don’t need it.”

"You need to be checked out by a vet. All humans do." Titus answered smoothly as he waited for phoenix, Zeke, or Serenity. "Besides, all three vets are nice and care for humans." He knew he would fight them against this. "Would you like to be lost in the city and be sold to the slavers? Or would you rather be found by the patrols and back where you belong?" Titus would make all his decisions for him. Then he got smart himself. "Good boy!" He patted his head. "Now that's the correct answer! No, you would rather be found by the patrols and come back where you belong." He smirked.

Where he “belongs” ha! Ha.
He didn’t belong anywhere around here - but he was tired of that poopp. And he also didn’t really want to do this anymore. But at the same time he just let the big orange moron to pat him on the head.
He really hated this.
“Either way I frickin’ hate doctors,” he added rather bluntly. Crossing his arms a little and trying to keep his cool on the whole subject. “What do you even do at one of these check-ups anyway?”

Serenity knocked on the door and entered, with a pad in hand. She smiled at the human and the ape.
Then she walked over to the human and treated him like any other. "Why hello, young pup. You sure are a cute child. Why don't you come up here and I can examine you?" She was sweet and it would probably make him feel worst. She was only after his health. "Now if you behave, I'll give you a treat."
She slithered her hands under his arms and picked him up. She sat him on the metal table to scan him with one of their devices. Everything checks out except he had no chip. "And your owner wants you microchipped. That's easy to do. Quick, painless, and less likely to be shown."

Ugh, was he cute? Was she serious?
He felt the chimp pull him up with an oomph. Rather annoyed by this whole thing - was she really bribing him with treats? “Look I don’t like the doctor. Definitely don’t like the vet,” he noted honestly. “And I’m telling you right now if i get one of those shots I’ve heard about I’m gonna fight it.”
Then she brought up the chip, a little more nervous now he swallowed. “And what does the chip do exactly...?” He asks. “Does it really track me wherever I go?”

"How do you know what a vet is like when you have never met one before today, silly human?" So far, she was going to try to give him a shot, regardless what fight he may do when she would give him his vaccinations. It was just as important to give the humans those. If he went around without his updated shots, he'd be quarantined from all others. Including ape-children. Even ape-children got his or her vaccinations.
She wasn't about to give in to this human and she would have to do her job. Well, no use in dillydallying and obeying a kid who knew he was going to get a shot.
She pushed him down onto the table and engaged those fluid restraints. She gave him a look as she unlocked a cabinet and took out three vaccines used only for their age and weight. The weight displayed on the monitor above him. Luckily, she hoped this would be easier.

Titus stood up to be near his human. He rubbed his arm, knowing that he would probably scream and cry next.

Hey! Hey! No.
As he was strapped down by the restrains he absolutely did not like where this was going. Especially not with the vials was she serious! Was he going to have to go through this? He felt Titus rubbing his arm and surprised himself by relaxing a bit.
It reminded him of his mom.
“I haven’t had my appendix removed but I know that’s unpleasant,” he replied jokingly at her question of the vet. “What are you giving me in those? I don’t want to do this anymore!” He said a little more than afraid.

Titus turned his head away from the vet. "Don't look at her. Look at me. It's important for your health."

Serenity was grateful that there was a smart owner who actually recognized fear. He must have had a child at one time. Serenity prepped the three syringes according to his weight. Then used an alcohol prep to cleanse an area on his arm. "It's important and necessary to keep you healthy. Without it, every disease known to man would get you."
She inserted a needle into his arm so quickly that he wouldn't feel it. She was quick she used a gloved finger to rub the spot every time. Then stuck another needle into his arm with the second vaccine and did the same exact procedure with the last one. Then gave him a adhesive bandage on his arm. It had some child designs on there, but he was good. She dropped the used syringes into a container mounted on the wall. She threw away her gloves and put away all the items.
She kept him restrained for a moment while she assembled a device that resembled an earring gun. It was going to be traumatic to the human. "Keep him occupied." She said to Titus.
-0-
Titus would as she continued to ready her equipment for a tracker and programmed it to his new vets records. It would show the vaccinations and his owner's name.

It was only a mild yelp.
But he didn’t really enjoy this none the less. Vaccines could go and screw themselves. It wasn’t as bad as it looked but honestly this whole thing sucked. Were they finally done? Why weren’t they leaving? Oh right that stupid tracker.
He could quietly see the thing they were planning to use. That didn’t scare him but the thought that once it was in he couldn’t escape? Did. He squirmed a bit harder at this one, wanting out and gone. “You don’t have to do this...” he murmured.

Serenity noticed that he was squirming and fidgeting. He clearly wasn't happy with what she was going to do. But she had to do her job. "I don't want to do this, but it's the law. Either tracker or collar with a tag. Even a tag could get lost." She hoped that this wouldn't hurt too much. The boy would be in pain. Then she set it aside on the metal table next to the table.
Flipping his hair a little bit out of the neck's way, she felt around his neck. To be sure there was nothing there and bent down to mark a spot on his neck with non-toxic ink. She looked up to Titus.
"This isn't going to be easy if the boy squirms or struggles. If he stays still, it'll be quick and painless, and very small."
-0-
Titus had been watching and patting his arm throughout the whole vaccinations. He would have to keep him still. He thought. "How about I hold him on my lap? Then I can keep him still and quiet. Then you can put the tracker in." He suggested helpfully.

He could feel the marker go over him.
No. No. No. then his parents would never find him. And even if they did what could he do. He was definitely not happy, continuing to trash a bit. Maybe if he made enough of a big deal than Titus would give up and say no, he figured. God knew he wanted out of this.
“No! I won’t do it!” He shouted. “I wanna go home! I want my mom and dad back!”

Serenity moved the 'tracking gun' out of his way as the restraints were only to restrain him with a light restraint. Then her ears hurt a little with his shouting. It would probably draw in other vets too. The young human was afraid. Zeke burst through the door, thinking something was wrong. "Oh another child?! When are they going to stop this foolishness?" He asked, shaking his head. "This new law sucks. What did you try to do, Serenity?" He asked, hoping phoenix was not around here to hear him shouting and screaming. "I just tried to put a tracker in his neck and he threw a fit." She replied. "I gave him his vaccinations. But now this." -0- Titus thought about leaving the room. "Do you need me to step out?" He asked, wondering. "I don't mind waiting in the waiting room, but I thought it'd be easier on the boy if I stayed around." -0- "It can often stress them out more. But I've seen owners staying with their humans at this young age." Zeke said as he began to ready a sedative. "It's necessary to put a tracker in his neck. But- if he keeps fighting it, it would have to be under sedation."

Damien could hear them talking about him and then heard the word “sedativ” from the new ape.
No! Not a sedative, even he knew what that is and he didn’t like it even more. This wasn’t what he wanted. Leave him alone dang it! He just wanted to go home. “But my parents have to find me,” he insisted. “I don’t want to belong to Central City! I belong in the wild!” He continued to insist.
He then added. “If you put that in me all I’ll ever be is a lap dog!” He added.

Titus was about to think of a way to get him to stop. "No you won't ever just be a lap dog." He finally said. It wasn't going to be an easy transition from being in the wild and being in Central City. It was just a silly tracker. "You know, maybe a tracker isn't necessary." He finally said, with an ulterior motive. It wasn't going to be a good one.
-0-
Serenity stopped and so did Zeke. "What do you mean? It's the law and going against the law isn't a good thing."
-0-
Titus shook his head. "With him carrying on, it's not worth getting a tracker. He gets lost- he gets lost." He looked down at the human and would rarely bend on his goals. He had another meeting to go to and he'd take Damien. "But his punishment will be to sit in my lap throughout my next meeting with the engineers." He smirked.

Damien’s eyes widened.
His lap? In his lap for a meeting? He knew exactly what this ape was doing, playing with what was his worse fear. Being seen like this among others? Or being injected with a tracker? His heart fell into his stomach and he stopped, nearly unnerved.
“Fine! Fine! You win!” He groaned quietly, he was too tired from struggling to fight either way. “Just... Make it quick. Before I change my mind.” He mumbled and laid his forehead against the table.
Anything to avoid further humiliation.
