Sometime during the vet visit Ace fell asleep.
He wasn’t sure for how long but he rubbed his eye tiredly sometime the next morning enwrapped in blankets. On what he best described in his head, given the stories as a giant dog bed. He frowned a little nervously as he sat up and immediately felt for the fluffy light blue collar.
Still there.
He reached down to find he’d been changed again - this time into a onesie. Just great, he thought. The ape had made it clear he wanted a cute thing though so he supposed he shouldn’t be shocked. He crawled out of bed and was carefully greeted by metal bars - his cage. Though he had no clue where it was, the older wood and some of the looks to it reminded him of someone’s old attic.
Well, welcome to pethood he guessed.
Ace spent some time crying - as if the whole thing hit him like a ton of bricks. This was his life now he guessed, all his fault too. If he hadn’t been captured... If he could have gone home.
He stopped as soon as he heard footsteps. He immediately stood to his feet, stepping up to the bars and holding onto them in hopes he’d get out. “Hello? Silas?” He called out. “I’d like out now, please.”

Silas had placed him in the attic of one of the rings he personally owns. It was common for him to bring humans here, even in the attic. Mainly the ones he was training were in that location. He's never owned a pet but dealt with all varieties of animals. Ace was his first. He wouldn't be as harsh as he was to the ferals.
A light emerges from the corner of the creaky, dusty attic. Heavy footfalls follow. It wouldn't be long until Silas's face in the brighter lights above the cage Ace was in. He folds his arms, stepping a few paces closer. "Yes, Ace, I am here. I can see the drugs are affecting your exhaustion. Are you still sleepy? Because, I'd like to train you some," he states.
He unfolds his arms, walked closer, and unleashed the door, allowing Ace to slip out. "Come out, you don't need to remain in there." he offers, stepping on the side so he could crawl out. "I think you would look good in a spiked collar and varieties of dark clothes, during the tournament of course But in between with personal life, it's light colors. ANy objections?"

Well that was good at least.
Drugs? He’d had him pass out? Ugh, he hated that because it meant he didn’t know his way back from this place. Or even where he was. But he wss a little surprised by the question of training. Training? What did he want him training for again. “No objections,” he replied as he crawled out of the cage and stretched. “The sooner I’m out of this the better. Bright and cutesy or not.” He added as he pointed to his current onesie attire. “Where can I change? Did you actually find clothes?”
Then he decided it was best to ask. “What will I be training on? Like what you want me to do and stuff?” He asked, genuinely curious. “I didn’t even know pets trained. I thought you just expected us to follow orders.” The fourteen year old chuckled.

No objections? A child that has no objections? That be quite new. He always had animals that he was training would either fight hard or retaliating strongly. Having a simple child already comply, it was very pleasing. Especially in what he commonly deals with.
Ah, right clothes! Of course, the child needs to be in that onesie, so ridiculous out in public. He doesn't even have the humans dress in ridiculous attire like some apes that enjoy amusement. No, he was a serious ape, down to business with dedication in his decades of a career.
A places a firm palm on his small shoulder, guiding him out of the attack, through the black stairs that lead to a lower floor. Once on the final step. He releases his shoulder, peering down, not a friendly smile. "In that room, you will find what you do. I'd like you to wear tight clothing, for swift, comfortable movement." He firmly instructs, placing his hands behind his back.
"I will wait for you here."

Being guided down he startled to get some idea of where he was.
He didn’t like the way that the ring looked and he wasn’t sure that he liked the whole idea of what this ape did in general. What did this ape do anyway? Why was there still that air of danger around him?
Of course, when they stopped he told him what he wanted to wear. And for his part, Ace gave him a blank stare. What the actual hell did this guy just say? “I don’t know what any of that means,” he admitted as he stepped into the doorway. Finding a room of clothes and accessories that made him grimace. “Do you mean like pants and a shirt or something...? How right are we talking?”
Honestly he felt like a newborn trying to figure out the world again.

Silas rose a brow, quite appalled that this child didn't know that the type of clothing he was describing. How in the world can he not know? He's already a teen, in some villages claimed to be an adult. Where did he come from? He doesn't even act like an adult. He's more childish, innocent than some of the young humans.
Slowly, he lowers his head, then swung his head. Silas roams over, entering the room with the unusual attire that was made to move comfortably, and swift. Clothing that was breathable and meant for athletic. Inside, he hopes the child was more active than most.
"Here, I can reveal what each clothes in this particular are is for," he assures, then lifts a finger. "However I am not going into detail with each. Why don't you pick what you want to wear, then I can explain," he advises, stepping on the side for him to choose what he'd like.

Ace looked it over quietly.
Though he was starting to see a pattern here. Tight, form fitting suits... Were these athletic gymanist clothes? Oh god, no wonder there were all those accessories - he wanted him to be a show pet, duh! The thought made him a little more than nervous to say the least.
“No... I think I got it now,” he added rather calmly. “They’re stuff athletes wear or maybe gymnasts... am I a show dog or whatever they call it?” He asked rather nervously. “I’m starting to see why you wanted me dressed so dapper. Everyone says they’re supposed to look all pretty out of the circuit or something.”
He decided to grab the nearest blue body suit and slippers and looked at him calmly. “Lucky for you. I’m pretty... Flexible,” he explained. “I’m not good at being shown off but I am very good at this. It comes with climbing trees and avoiding... Well y’know.”

Silas smirks. He was a clever child, very observant, and bright. Then why would he get captured if he seemed athletic, swift, especially witty? Ape hunters are mostly vapid. His head shook, brushing the curiosity from his mind. Can Ace really accomplish the plans Silas had made for him? If he's athletic the way he looks and acts on it, then it wouldn't be too hard.
His head bobs, leaning against the doorway. "I see you partly figured out your role," he smirks, very impressed. "For your age, you're sharp," he continues, "I just hope you can achieve in what I have in store for you." He normally walks out. He rose a hand, waving. "Go on and proceed with changing your attire. You're welcome to choose the sparkles," he suggests. laughing loudly.
Stunningly, he allowed the youngster to dress in private along with what he desired. There were many times Silas had to sedate in order to dress the feral animals. This child seemed cooperative and mellow. A perfect candidate. A great relief for Silas.
He stood on the outside, waiting for him by the stairs as he notified. he was a very patient ape.

Ace changed as best he could.
It was really weird being in all of these weird clothes. But he decided it was best not to argue. As he changed however, he did make note of other kinds of clothing. Flashier, cuter... Apparently being a show dog wasn’t all he had in mind he figured as he stepped out.
He noticed him by the stairs and approached Silas. “Well only part of it,” he admitted. “You bought all of those accessories and other clothes. Like you said I’m bright. I know you intend to show me off,” he admitted with a swallow. “I just hope I can fulfill that end. I rather doubt if I’m cute enough to sit in your lap as I saw those in town doing.”
After all, he didn’t really see himself as cute. Or tried not to.

Once he approaches, Silas turns, hiking down the stairs. Only at a sluggish pace. He normally was swift, and attentive to the things he enjoys. However, not being an adult, he would ease his scurry. The child probably wouldn't hear him explain anyway. Or keep up with his quick feet.
He smirks as Ace reminds him of his own quiet thoughts. "Yes, yes, I plan to show you off. But I have other schemes I wish to teach you. It shouldn't be hard if you can easily learn." His palm swayed outward. "Only if you learn as bright as you appear." He reaches the final step. "I'm sure you will do fine," he assures, now strolling down the hallway.
He snickers, shaking his head, "No, no, I don't do that." he firmly states, and never wanted anyone to imply that. "Fulfill? You seem not to fight, and be cooperative, so there shouldn't be any reason," he mentions.
Gradually he reaches a black door and pushes inward. Clearly, it was too hefty for the average human to even move it. With one solid arm, he kept the heavy door opened long enough for him to slip through.
The door slams closed. Silas walks onto a blue, spongy mat. "Tell me, Ace, have you ever fought before?"

“So I don’t have to sit in your lap? Great,” Ace sighed in relief - honestly he had wanted to vomit at the thought honestly. “No offense but I’m pretty sure that’s the one thing I’d fight. Having to sit there like some sort of doll.” He admitted.
He then caught himself. “Not that I’m planning to fight you just I mean come on,” he told him flatly. “A human doesn’t belong in an ape’s lap like that.”
He noted the spongey mats, tilting his head slightly in curiosity. What was the ape planning to teach him? That’s when he asked, politely, if he had learned how to fight. Well... That was a difficult question to answer. Most people from the wild knew how to fight. But well?
After a moment he replied. “I know a little about fighting. I haven’t learned a lot though.” He admitted.

Ah, this poor child only knows the surface of what Silas wants him to be. Well, he will be educated as he gradually does his roles. Silas wasn't one to directly inform, but throw hints and reveal. He enjoys the torment of confusion.
Without a response that might have been dreadful to Ace's hopes, Silas answers bluntly. "Mmm, so be it." He views the pup of being keened, expecting him to simply understand. If he was wrong, well he'd judge incorrectly.
This child sure had some boldness. Perfect, that's the human who's perfect who has no fear, but contains bravery. "Some enjoy it immensely," he quietly adds, softly grinning. His finger popped. "I'd be very careful with your word choice," he gave a soft warning.
His smirks, a little amused. "Humans your age should be skilled some?" that was only his thoughts. He rounds his arm around the child, then travels onto the mat. He plopped him onto the mat.
"Don't worry, I'll be glad to teach. No different than educating humans into being a Gladiator," he gradually inquires, walking in front of him. "Tell me Ace, what do you know so far?" He only wants to know the outline of what he's aware of.

Ace already had the feeling, from his response and body language, that the ape was not being truthful.
Honestly, he didn’t want to be in his lap - and he wanted to fight that. But at the same time he didn’t want to invoke the wrath of a giant orangutan. “What do humans find so enjoyable about it?” He asked. Honestly he was more curious even if he didn’t want to do it. “I’m sure it makes an ape feel powerful. But what about us? What’s so immensely enjoyable and what gratification do we obviously get?” He questioned.
When he picked him up and set him on the mat he rubbed his knees a bit. What had he even taught really? If he were being honest it was the bare basics of it. “My dad taught me some self defense techniques. Like going for the groom or the Adam’s apple.” He explained as he pointed to each for emphasis. “I barely started to learn how to use a gun. But I’m pretty sure I won’t get to use one here.”

Not only was this young pup bold, but congested with the number of questions. It wasn't a bother or annoying, but stunning. Stunning for which ones he actually came up with. Even feral humans didn't dare or question at times.
Quietly his finger brushed his hairy chin. What was enjoyable about it? Truth be told, Silas wasn't very knowledgeable on it. He's never had his own human, let alone been around many apes that had. Nope, he went by the advertisements that plagued the city.
However, he did his best at guessing. "I'm sure it's feeling powerful, depending on the ape. But most of all comfortable by our silky fur," he answers, unsure about the true reasons. Ads were thorough at some points.
Oh, ho, ho, what clever questions Ace was tossing out. Silas continues, "I'd say to show off. I mean lapdogs are considered the top dog. But for me it's fighters and shows dogs," he honestly shares. "lap dogs in my view are weak and cowardly. Too skittish to actually do something." He adds, "show dogs have boldness, and fighters have no fear."
Where Ace was being educated in a certain field, he didn't need a gun, nor would foolishly teach a child to handle one. Some moves? Better than none, only exposes his bravery and wanting to learn?
His head bobs, "typical teachings," he boldly states, as if it was common. "Temple and windpipe are good to attack points. But, there's plenty who can predict your moves, even skillfully block," he educates, moving closer. "Feel the weak points on your own body, and how high can you kick?"

Ace looked at Silas a bit.
Now he got why he wanted him on his lap. It really was to show off what he guessed to him was a prize human, as a show human. He swallowed, a little mortified but also knowing it was inevitable he at least had the silky fur to look forward to. When the ape was carrying him it had felt warm and comfy.
It just made him feel a sense of dread he was to be this ape’s trophy pet.
Still he let the lump in his throat as he said. “... I guess it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try. If you really think it’ll give me a sense of being powerful or comfort,” he managed as calmly as he could. Then added. “I just guess I have to get used to being shown off. I’m glad I’m not a lap dog though. At least as show pet you have something to show me off for...”
He was lying. But he still did his best to keep this ape happy. After all he was learning he was a scary customer to anger.
When the ape mentioned his moves, he wondered if it was true. But he took the chance to show him how high he kicked anyway. Maybe even give himself a chance to run for it now? Honestly the more he heard the more he really wanted to.
So he kicked high. But right for the chest area in hopes he’d hit the groin on the way up. “I don’t know. How high is this?” He asked. Though he was sure it wouldn’t hit its target. “I mean you’re a giant so I’m not sure.”
