These young pups were easier to manipulate. But Silas wasn't as harsh to children as he was his own trainees. There was no good as they're still learning, and discovering. Why ruin and cause them to be frightened their entire life. It reveals nothing good. Manipulation is simpler in their age.
"It's not as bad as you believe or heard it," he states walking over to him. He sits on the nearest chair. "Uh, come over her and try it out yourself," he opens his arms, advising. He didn't want to force him since he was young. HE rather does it in a different approach.
"I assure you I won't bite," he intentionally reveals the tips of his fangs.
without another word, Silas grips his ankle before it even came an inch to his body. "Nice, but you can go higher in time," he states out of repeating facts. "Plus your kick wasn't smooth. You do it like this," he explains, motioning his foot in a correct sway. "This is how." he places his foot down.
"You can get pretty high."

Ugh.
Of course he hadn’t even kicked hard or high enough. But after a moment he gave it another try, a little smoother this time he guessed but not at the sitting ape this time, knowing better. “Like this you mean?” He asked patiently as he looked over at him
Then he noted again the lap he’d been beckoned to. Did he go...? Could he even bring himself to go there. He hesitated a moment as he looked there. “As for trying it. I mean, I guess...” he paused as he approached. “Do I just sit down like it’s a chair?” He asked.
It took some work to get up there, but after a moment he was seated on one knee. Taking a deep breath he felt a little high up. Though he hadn’t quite buried himself in the fur yet. “Well it feels comfy.” He explained remaining balanced on the one knee. “High up too.”

Silas clicks his tongue, wavering his head side to side, quite more impressed. Though, he was very aware this child wasn't going to be perfect in time. Perhaps he could throw an opponent to him, a very easy one. If so he'd would need to call up one of the children that were training young.
His head bobbed one, "yes, better than I would predict from a beginner," he compliments, examining his size, then walks a bit back. "I hope you're prepared to exercise daily, even going beyond your original potential," he explains, elevating a hand. "I won't work you until you fall, Nah, I know what I'm doing," he confirms, encase the child would be nervous.
Silas wasn't going to give him step by step, how would he learn in the future with other things if he goes one by one? Nah, humans are known to learn on their own, well he'd hope so with this child. Each was unique.
He suggests, "adjust your seating the way you like it," Silas suggests, observing as Ace discovers this fresh approach. He didn't plan on stroking or wrapping his arms around. He'd allow him to adjust and get to like it.

Training every day? That was going to certainly be interesting.
But he guessed he wouldn’t complain about it. After all there were a lot worse ways of handling things. And maybe if he learned enough self defense he could eventually escape and get out of here. “I’ll do my best to train,” he explained with a small smile. “Or at least not let you down.”
Get comfortable? Ok. Well after some thought he decided the knee wasn’t that. So instead he carefully slid over and down until he’d firmly situated himself somewhere near the center. Fur wrapped around him then, nice and warm, fluffy too.
It was... Oddly soothing.
“Oh wow you feel like a giant fuzzy blanket.” He said as he let out a long sigh, it was the most comfortable he’d been since he’d first gotten there. “I could get used to this. Especially in the winter.” He added as he relaxed, maybe for the first time since he’d been there. “Ok I’m seeing the benefits. But do I have to do anything. You know other than look cute?”

Silas turns his head, elevating a brow. What, no fight? No complaining? Why was this young pup simply agreeing to it? He's had feral, even lazy humans fight against to cooperate in the fighting. Which would be highly odd, as these creatures are built for hardcore physical activities.
He smiles, glad he didn't complain about it. He reaches over, padding his back nicely. "I'm sure you will. You don't lack laziness, or even a hint of failure. From the start, you were willing to keep going without a complaint. You seemed thrilled, actually," he muffles the last part. Then he drew his hand away.
He smirks, amused by how the child was easily adjusting without even forcing him on it. It was a clear approach to do. Humans appear to be more willingly if you invite them to do what you want with them. Forcing just initiates fighting. Something he tries to avoid, if possible.
His head shakes, also wondering what the child also expected to do. "Nah, you're all good. I'm glad you're accepting it. It's nice, isn't?" he gently provokes into falling more in love with it. "Winter? Where? It's about the same all year round here."

Ace didn’t know if he realized that he wanted to learn to fight to maybe one day escape.
Maybe he did but just didn’t care. Or maybe he didn’t. But either way, the apes seemed very keen that their training and chips rendered that futile so a part of him realized that the ape probably didn’t worry about it. “Well it could be useful. Especially since you mentioned other, more seedy apes,” he’admiffed calmly. “They’ll expect something docile I’m sure.”
The way he said how nice it was with satisfaction made him realize he’d been had though.
Maybe he shouldn’t have gotten into the lap. But he was there now and comfortable even nuzzling a bit deeper into his red fur. “It’s very comfortable. Like I said I could probably do this whenever it’s needed,” he then added. “How do I know to come though? Or is it just whenever?” He figures there would be a system of some sort.
Ah, so they were always this humid. That was interesting. “So you don’t have colder weather here. That’s interesting. I come from a bit further away and we definitely did,” he explained. By now he’d stopped fidgeting and resigned himself - but hadn’t quite gathered any stroking or snuggling could happen. “So what is this place we’re in anyway? A fighting arena?”

Silas bobs his head in a very intense agreement. There were other hidden reasons why he was training Ace to actually fight. Sure he might take advantage of it and use it against his own master, or even other apes. He, however, was foolish if he dared to attack Silas, a trainer. Pah, but it seems there was no foolishness in Ace, as of yet.
"Yes, Ace," he agrees, looking over at the accessories to fighting. "Humans at times encounter apes who try to steal you or even humans that pick on you. Well, you can easily use it against them. But, that's not why, and I'm not going to repeat it on why," he strictly states.
"Ah, I like how you're easily adjusting, Ace." He rewards by patting his head with his large hand. "You'll only mainly be on my lap during.." He pauses. Was this child even ready to observe his own kind battling each other, even other animals? He grimaces, "I'll tell you later."
He grasps his sides and places him on his knee, looking down. His palm securing him from falling over. "Ace, how weak is your stomach, can you withstand deep violence?" he had to ask sooner or later. He didn't need a pet on his lap freaking, or worse.

Yikes.
Ace was suddenly very glad that the ape had the intention of training him. Though he did feel a little weird as the ape patted his head. Was that a normal thing? “I don’t mind learning either way. The worse that can happen is I ever have to use it,” he explained. “But...”
Wait a strong stomach? Intense violence?
Now Ace understood what this place was. The gladitorial arenas. The same place that he had been worried to go to. As he was placed on the ape’s knee he had some thought to it. Could he watch something like that? Was that how he’d be shown off? As a trophy pet ringside?
For a moment he tensed, not sure how to respond. But he considered the alternative. If he wasn’t good with it, the ape might toss him out. Or use him for something WORSE.
After a moment - he’d decided it wouldn’t be the first intense violence he saw, so... “If this is a gladitorial ring I think I can handle it. I’ve seen all kinds of brutal fights in the wilds,” he wouldn’t give away that it saddened him to think of other humans in a situation like this. “Do you train them then? Like will I sit on your lap ringside and stuff?” He asked. Again assuming he was right.

Sadly, as of recent, it appears that this moment it was best to educate Ace in the fighting. As it seems that countless humans are either illegally killed or taken. What was the high increase for anyway? Why not just go after tropical birds or even endangered, popular animals. At least there you have a pretty lump sum.
Silas could feel the young child's body tensed at the question. Honestly, Silas predicted it. Ace was very young compared to the common age of humans around. His eyes just might singe from the wickedness from the rings. He wouldn't get upset but gradually work with him to he would. If he was an adult, then there would be a disappointment in his sights.
Slight disbelief Silas views Ace. Suddenly Ace tenses at the question. Why would he imply he might? This gore that he just might witness was beyond a liger tormenting to shredding its prey. Brutal fights? That's it? Has he gotten that dangerously close? Brave child.
He pats his back. "If you say so, we can test it later this afternoon. Shouldn't be a blood bath, but depends on the weapon choice, or no weapons," he explains. Train? Ha! "Of course I do," he snickers, shortly adding, "Not all do I train" This child was appearing smarter. "Yes, yes you will."

Ace could feel that Silas didn’t necessarily believe him.
Honestly, he wasn’t sure he was believing himself either! It was more than likely that he was going to want to hurl right away. But at the same time, he had to get used to this now if his master was apparently a trainer of Gladiators.
Later this afternoon though? He hoped that his mind could handle that much at once.
After a moment, the boy finally replied. “I’m at least willing to give it a try! Even if I’m a little weary at first I can get used to it. I swear,” he explained as enthusiastically as he could. After which he noted that if he was going to sit ringside... “Well I’ll try to dress a little nicer tonight then. I’m sure you’ll want something flashy... And not athletic.”
He paused, then added. “So did you want to show me more moves? Or maybe what you wanted me to do in shows?”

Silas would expect Ace to withstand such horrid gore, especially his kind against another. It would most likely heart-wrenching for the young child. At times it would be ape versus human, now that was beyond horrid. He didn't want to have his own lapdog hurl on his lap. Look away? That was fine.
He places a warm palm on his small shoulder. "I'm not going to throw the worse out there for you to swiftly handle. No. Step by step. I don't even do that to the adults. Some can't even stand it until a month later. I feel this one is going to take more than a month." he sighs.
He moves his large hands, clutching Ace's side, and settling him on his feet. Silas rose from the large seat. "Yes, always nice when on my lap at my rings. Other places, possibly not as much." He snickers. "Of course not."
"Yes, I want to show you more moves. This time escape attempts," he explains. "I want to start easy, then work your way up to the extreme," he starts. Calmly he grips his hand. "If you try to pull, it's pointless. You turn your hand the opposite way, forcing them to let go from their arm bending the wrong way," he describes. "Go on and try it, don't worry about hurting me. Give it all you can."

He nodded his head a bit - relieved at the Ape’s words.
When he did mention dressing nice at the ring though, he did wonder. What kind of things would he dress in? His mind strayed to the onesie, which made him realize the ape was picking his attire even if he chose what he wore. “I’m ok with anything as long as I don’t have to wear a onesie in public,” he explained nervously. “If you like me in those around you that’s fine. But if people saw me they’d laugh.”
He then added. “What kinda of nice things do I get to wear though? You mentioned a spiked collar... And blacks,” he explained interested. “And I’m sure lots of stuff in my hair.”
Hurt him? Ha! Like he could even begin to hurt an orangutan! But all the same he attempted what Silas said. Though it was a bit of a struggle, not nearly as easy as it looked. “Like this?” He asked.
