Nikita Kratos zaius
It was early in the afternoon after lunch when Maximus called a tribunal meeting to talk about the current matters and about the hero human. Even the press had been present in eagerness to photo the human. Seems the human was an attention magnet. It wasn't always a good thing to always have the council to discuss these matters.
Once all the council sat, they all could begin.

Nikita wasn't in agreement with this, but for her pet's sake, she reluctantly agreed. She despised some of the council especially the President who crossed the line days ago. She easily forgave him, she didn't keep grudges like most apes. It would only cause a sour mood from withholding it in.
She had Elisabeth dressed for her best for the meeting. She still didn't enjoy being present for something that could have been celebrated in private. WHy nnounced or celebrate out in the open. Sure it was heroic and beyond amazing. But she's sure Elisabeth is with her on not being out in the open, around the press.
She guides Elisabeth inside the grand vastness of the room. She surveys around, not too thrilled, but exposed a light smile. "Thanks," she dips her head, looking at each member. She didn't sit down, she rather stands. Elisabeth had no leash, nor collar. Yes, she was crossing the line. Well, it's an example she will explain.

Elisabeth wasn't really sure why she was back in here. What were they wanting her now? She saw the press and saw many flashes. It was stressful for her prior to entering a side entrance to the palace. She couldn't shake the feeling that the moment she left with Nikita, more camera's would flash in her direction.
Heavily breathing a sigh, she noticed there were no cameras and she wiped her brow with her sleeve. She looked around nervously. Were the council members going to congratulate her? Or allow her to have some privileges or some rights? She hadn't really an answer. She glanced at each of the council members present. So far, Kratos and Zaius hadn't arrived yet. Maybe they weren't coming and were not happy with her heroic act.
Glancing over to - Nikita, she noticed a light smile.
-0-
Titus walked in to the tribunal room and stood near Elisabeth. He patted her head lightly. "They're like a flock of birds those reporters."
It wouldn't surprise them if they tried to get in and start asking questions that would make the tribunal like a bell. What he needed to do was confirm that the trains were possibly sabotaged and that Elisabeth had sensed it. Yet he couldn't figure out why or how she managed to smell something was off. He gave a little smile towards Nikita and Elisabeth.

Maximus had waited long enough and none of the other council members arrived. "Well, I guess we waited long enough...as it seems that we have no other members arriving or are ignoring summons regarding the human here." He shook his head. "So, as a member of this council, it's rare for a human to be so courageous and brave in Central City. It's unheard of. But this is a unique case of heroism from a human."
Then he glanced over to Elisabeth and wasn't worried about any objections from any other apes. "Since you saved countless lives, you earned some of your freedoms back in this city. I believe that we owe you something. What is you want, Elisabeth?"

Elisabeth stood there and thought about what she truly wanted. "I want to hear again. Is there something you can do for my ears? All this technology and I thought you apes may be able to help me with it." Then she said, "I've long for so long to hear again! I'd be so grateful to hear Nikita's voice, her daughter's voice, even music, and the sounds of birds." She was looking at Maximus as she spoke. "That's what I want more than anything. I don't like having to - sit there and stumble over everyone's words." She finally admitted.

Kratos busts open the side door. He was not going, to be honest about why he was desperately late. His own reason was because of that pestering, reluctant human, Andrew. Clever, swift, yet determined to escape. He was vexed by no success. Oh, how he wanted to torture for more information, or even 'force' it. He'll just have to use other tactics.
"She will not!" he calls out, stumbling over a few seated chairs to get to his own. He wasn' at all drunk, just furious, and annoyed. He palnts himself in the seat, scowling over. "Yes, yes, she saves the city. But we don't give out any freedoms to humans," he snorts. He looks over at Maximus. "There are humans in their roles that do great things, not as great at this, but at times pretty close."
He glances down at Nikita. Oh, this might not go well. "I'm I wrong? We will even go against our own law." Then he listens. "Hear? That's all?" he drops in his seat. "Why didn't your owner do it? Or..ugh."

Helios hadn’t been to a council meeting before.
But he could see that Kratos was pissed so when he was made to come? He just kept his mouth shut and followed. He had no idea what could possibly be going on. He was dressed a little nicer for this he noticed, in a pair of silk red pajamas. And he honestly wasn’t sure what they were talking about either.
He carefully hoisted himself onto Kratos’ lap just as they were talking about her desire to hear. And something about an amazing fear that Elisabeth has done. “Wait, she can’t hear?” He asked curiously - almost forgetting he probably should have tapped his leg to speak. “What exactly is this about anyway? Anything I should know?”
This time he tapped Kratos’ knee and waited for an answer.

Elisabeth felt the vibrations through her feet. Well, that could only mean one thing...Some ape with a lot of weight just entered. Seeing Kratos, she knew that her request would not be full-filled. Well, no hearing and no freedom? She was capable of reading Kratos' lips with ease. It was disheartening how he didn't want her to have some freedoms. It was granted by Maximus and yet, not granted by Kratos?
She didn't understand why? After all, she filled more than her role- to get something in return- she sighed.
-0-
Maximus was surprised at Kratos' abrupt appearance. "She will not have any freedoms? Even after all she had done for Titus and you personally. A crisis is averted on the account of this human? If she won't get freedom then, what's the purpose of granting her the ability to hear?" He wasn't exactly facing Elisabeth, but if she had seen what he had just seen, there was no telling what she would think.
-0-
Elisabeth already had a feeling that nothing would be granted anyway. Not even her 'freedom'. She was disheartened.
-0-
Titus interrupted, "So, no freedoms whatsoever? No freedom to make her own choices or requests?" He noticed Elisabeth looking disheartened. Unfortunately, he had no say so since he wasn't a council member.

Nikita reveals a scarce, disturbing glower at Kratos. She lifts her hands from Elisabeth, heavily stepping over to Kratos. She couldn't accept how he was managing her human. She would be freed in her own nation for doing miraculous things. She shook her head. The only one that was more mind was Maximus.
She places her clutched palms on Kratos's 'desk'. "Out of all the laws, you still don't provide any freedoms to her. Yes, that human you look so down upon. One that saved multiple of your own citizens!" A quiet temper begins to surface. Normally she never gets ticked, but Kratos's choices were fueling it.
"There's no way to shift her into another title?" She rose her arms, drawing herself back. "You know what I'll just do it all in my own country," she scoffs. She looks over her should, not removing the pasted glare. "I hope you don't treat other foreign leaders this way."
She hikes down the steps, wandering back to Elisabeth. "Asking anything of you is a joke." She reaches Elisabeth and twirls. "Is this treaty still on? Your council member was already being unforgivably rude, even threatening. Who hires apes like that?"
She points to Titus and Maximus. "They well agree. I know there is a possibility to 'form' a freedom. There's always way to bend laws."

Kratos wasn't vexed to his own lapdog, but at the wants of giving freedom to a human? Pah! That's going against apes way of life. Humans were meant to serve unless raised by apes. This mutt was not. He glances down at Helios, glaring for a moment. His dog has been very cooperative. "She's deaf." he bluntly responds.
Kratos figured Helios would understand the situation if he paid further attention. He was a bright child.
Kratos scowls over to Maximus, his loyal council member siding with the Queen. "Really, Maximus? Are you really agreeing? She's a pet, a human declared no rights. We can't allow it, or others will surface and want it. Hearing? her owner does it," he snorts.
A dark scowl appeared when Nikita disturbed his personal space, even her hands on his podium. He parts his fangs about to speak but was snarled at. He sways his hand. "Go on and do it in your own country. Because here I will not shift it, even if there was a way." he implies, challenging her glare.
He hastily rose, clutching the edges of his desk. "You do not holler at me. You either speak normal or get out!"
He scoffs, listening. "Excuse me asking me is a joke? Who invited you bloody over?" He grips his chair tossing it to the side. He marches after her. "I don't know anymore. Condemning my council of harassing you, trying to get me to bend my own laws," he glares over at the two. "That CEO has no business here except his things being saved."
He directs a firm finger to Elisabeth. "That rat could have been part of the entire thing, how would you know!?"

Elisabeth could read only Kratos' response. She knew he was never going to grant her anything. "Well I guess I won't do anything for your apes anymore." Elisabeth said after she caught the cruel remark. She didn't say anything about freedom. But she did want her hearing. "I don't need anything from this country."
Maximus spoke, "If it had involved your life and saved you? Titus is here for a good reason. But- guess he won't discuss new plans with you."
Titus shook his head, "No. I won't." He moved in front of Elisabeth. "I won't discuss further transport options for your safety."

Nikita couldn't believe this and was outraged, however, she easily cooled. Do it in her own country? Gladly! Better than being present here any longer. Being accused, mocked, taunted. What a 'great' country to visit. Only a few apes were sweet, and understanding. But, the others, even the citizens were rude and cruel.
She angrily twirls around, ignoring the rest of his casual complaining. "I plan on it. There, she will be congratulated and free. You could bed the rules and you still do! You even bend your own laws," she scoffs, shaking her head. She calmly exhales, easing her fury. Get out? Maybe.
Her bristles spiked up as Kratos went intentionally on. Why was it so hard to simply grant a hero human? Just small tasks. She storms back up, getting irked of being wrongfully blamed. "Excuse me? I am not condemning, why don't you question that sadistic prune beside Maximus?! I'm sure there was another witness," she clenches her fangs, snarling back. "I was foolishly imprisoned for the sake of a mistake, then was worse because you failed..." She drops her head.
She pivots her head back and forth, flexing her cheeks. "You know what. It was wrong for me to enter. The only thing that was pleasant at the hotel and the tour. Other than that, you failed to notify me of your new law, which we agreed on. So, yes, asking anything is a joke, you're a joke. Your choices and you are destroying this country." She scarcely glares deathly. "I hope someone assassinates you," she scoffs.
She grips her human gently on the shoulder. "See you on the battlefield!" she hollers in rage. She guides Elisabeth out. "I'll be out before twenty-four hours. Look, you already cause fresh plans with the CEO, with you to crash."

But by the air in the room, she asked, "I shouldn't have saved all those apes and humans." She finally admitted. "It isn't about money. It's about lives. I guess lives aren't meant anything in this city at all."
Titus was surprised by the admittance by the deaf human. She was aware that lives were more important than an ape's own self-image.
And Elisabeth continued, just before she was led out by Nikita. "And selfish behavior and actions are a result of a failure." She knew by observation. "So, the safety of your own citizens and their pets mean nothing to you and are expendable." She shook her head. "Before I leave, you are turning into a dictator who makes rash decisions, intend to harm a race, and not care about what happens to your own citizens." Then..."Oh and your royal delegates or allies were saved by me. If you didn't know." Elisabeth finally turned and walked out with Nikita.
Titus, however, stayed behind. "I have nothing more to say on this matter." Then he turned to leave. "Oh and one more thing..." He paused at the door. "Just to let you know that I had my team analyze the fuel lines...It doesn't take a genius like me to know that it wasn't Elisabeth who did something to the lines. The lines were cut by a knife from a renegade. Oh another thing, Kratos. I checked the passenger manifest for that day...and your son was listed on it along with those royal delegates. Farewell, Kratos." Without further ado, he left the council room.
Maximus rubbed his head and believed that Kratos was too self-absorbed in himself to notice- that possibly the deaf human was correct and it surprised him. He drummed his fingers on the desk.
