”Wait! Wait! Let’s not be so hasty! I’m sure we can work this out,” He immediately scooped up the freaked out human before sprinting after Titus. He slammed his own card down on the counter. ”Put this one on mine for my fudge up.”
Michel wasn’t sure what was going on but he wasn’t going to like it. When he’d finally caught up with Titus he was out of breath. ”You didn’t let me finish! Given your esteemed prestige within our cages I want to give him to you as a gift,” he grunted before producing papers. ”We don’t have to talk about this. I just bought him for you and you know you want him.”
He raised up his eyebrows twice. Definitely not wanting to lose his job.
Michel immediately shouted a. “You did what!?”

Titus, not known for his outbursts against other apes, had enough. He snarled at the handler who seemed intent on making him take a human. "Now you listen here!" He found himself actually pulling Michel behind him, holding onto the human so he wouldn't be so afraid. "How dare you try to 'force' me to 'purchase' a human. I have retracted my bid so the human is and will either go straight to Zeke or phoenix!" Not many apes knew of his anger but when it emerged, it surely did. It wasn't a good thing either. "Don't you ever ever chase an ape out, claiming you paid for him! You are already a greedy ape only out for a high price! You won't take anything less than 900 for a human, you have an issue called greed!" Maximus didn't get involved and neither did Zeke. The CEO was smart! He knew a greedy handler and would put any ape or human into their place. He wasn't anything but mad. "I will not take a human I did not rightfully bid for! I will not sign papers for a human I did not pay for!" He grabbed the handlers shirt. "I will put you out of a job if I ever see or hear you trying to force a human on an ape."

"Hey...Handler. What are you doing, running after an ape who doesn't wish for a human. That is not what we do." He said as he grabbed the human from behind Titus and took him towards Zeke. "If a customer retracts his bid, it's because he changed his mind. You want your job? This is what you don't do. As far as I can tell, this human rightfully belongs to Zeke."

"$1,000." Valhalla called out as Zeke and Rowan looked over to see who bid. It was the lab scientist...that worked with Cobra. "$1,000 to take the human out of here and give him a home."
He looked serious enough.

Vallin was in the cages, curiously seeking out a new human. To be in the zoo or a lap dog? He wasn't sure. He's never had a lap dog, nor ever thought he would. He believed it to be silly and odd, as they belong to the zoo. What animal would you settle on your lap, perhaps a young, little one? He drifts over to the unique human in the cage. He hears an outrageous number. He remains behind curious how it would end anyway.

Michel watched the gorilla get ripped a new one with a snicker.
He was enjoying watching thr whole thing go down when Val suggested that high number. Oh lord - he really was getting nervous in general right now. Was this constant tug of war just destined to go on? ”You’ve made your point! Sheesh!” though he turned to see Val and gritted his teeth. “You all need to take deep breaths.”[/b]
When he was trying to keep his eyes away from the others, he quietly noticed Vallin. Was that the zookeeper? For real? That was a different sight. “What’s a zookeeper doing here?” He asked a little surprised.

Vallin still remains behind, not too much into the young unique child. He was very distinctive that was for sure. He still was silent, even if the child had noted him. His hand waved, figuring he could go after another. "All yours Val. I'm not going that high," he states, strolling away.

Michelangelo grunted.
Honestly at this point he really didn’t give a crap who he went to. He just wanted to get out of this insane tug of war. “Seriously can you guys just decide? This is like having my teeth slowly pulled,” he groaned with a ton of frustration. “And I’m not getting any younger.”

Maximus was considering and decided. "Since no one will buy the boy. I'll buy him."
He walked up to the handler. "Since this youngster is need of a good home. I will supply him with what he needs. Especially how to be an obedient pup." He glanced over to the human puppy. "Well, puppy." He corrected himself. "I have plenty of room and my servants can help."

Michel nearly crap himself.
He wanted to run again, but he was quickly grabbed by the gorilla handler. ”Ah yes! What an honor it will be for him to be the lap dog of someone so prestigious,” he finally grunted and hauled him to Maximus as the boy squirmed. ”One of my stock? A council member’s pet? What kind of dream am I having?”
“I’m not going anywhere with an orangutan!” Michel tried rather sheepishly. Though he was frankly tired, especially when squirming more. “You can’t actually expect me to be his pet! He’ll beat me and make me do all kinds of stupid stuff!”
The gorilla really didn’t care at the moment, he was just glad to be rid of him. After Maximus had taken him, he immediately was getting papers ready. ”He has a bit of a phobia. I’m sure you can get it out of him though,” he noted rather honestly. ”You orangutans always surprise me though. So many are against them. It’s the eyes isn’t it? So unique. The king will no doubt be jealous.”

Maximus was purely surprised that the handler wanted this human gone. He had noticed his uniqueness in his eye color. But he wasn't going to focus on how rare this human was. He wasn't about to make him do anything and why would he harm a puppy? That would make him brutal and heartless, of which he was not. He wasn't planning to beat a puppy anyway.
"Phobia?" Maximus said thoughtfully. He wasn't aware of any human having a phobia. "Well, I'm not going to beat him. Nor will I make him do stupid stuff. Unless he considers 'chores' torture and a 'comfortable bed' a stupid thing." He knew the kid was tired and the beds in his manor were comfortable. Like sleeping on a cloud. Will this human ever get over his phobia? Probably not. "What is his phobia anyway?" Maximus didn't know as he grasped the kids' collar.
The council member noticed the papers and knew to sign them which would make them hard to forge.

A comfortable bed?
Ugh, he suppose what the ape said didn’t sound too bad. But he also knew what it meant - he had to do what he wanted. What would win I’ve ? How tired he was? Or how he didn’t want to be a lap dog, least of all to an orangutan. ”He’s afraid of some orangutans. But don’t worry about it. It’s like you said he’ll be treated well. He just needs some extra training,” the gorilla shrugged his shoulders a little. ”Might want to bring something to keep him seated in council meetings is all.”
Council meetings? Seated? He didn’t want that - he really didn’t want to. But then again, he did know how soft an ape’s fur was so it wouldn’t be all bad. “I know what to do. I’m no idiot,” he groaned. “I’ve sat in apes laps before. And I’ll do it again. But if you try to hand me around to people.”
He got a gentle cuff on the back of the head. ”An ape doesn’t share his lap dog. You know that. Now stop grumbling,” as the gorilla looked over his papers he nodded a bit. ”Well then, all yours. Good luck. Maybe you’ll have an easier time breaking him in than I did.” he then added. ”He’s also not a puppy. He’s a pup. Turns seventeen next week. So no need to baby him into it. He’d be learning how to be a proper dog soon enough.”
Michel looked over at Maximus. A little nervous now. “I mean, sure. They were teaching me how to be a lap dog,” he explained. “I enjoy the warmth of your species fur. But don’t make a mistake. If you put me in a onesie or dog suit I will make your life a living hell.”

"Sometimes, an orangutan uses his stature, his power, and his strength to intimidate young humans into fearing them." Maximus knew about some of those. They use a lot of intimidation and threats to get what they wanted. However, Maximus would only use his stern tones with humans. He would rather warn first or attempt to mediate the situation between his own pets. The kid did need training and it would be a few tries to get him used to his new life with him as a pet, or a lapdog. He had never owned a lapdog.
Maximus signs the papers for the human, producing his credit card. It was pennies to the rich ape. He wouldn't mind paying that much since he was rich. Then he thought about something. The human would also enjoy fresh new clothes instead of the current ones he has now. His thoughts were interrupted by the human claiming that he would make his life a living hell if he had to wear a dog suit. Maximus hadn't thought of such attire. It was demeaning. Horrid, and not so 'fun'. Why would this human be afraid of a dog suit that wasn't going to grace his body. Maximus drew the line at that. It wasn't in his interests to humiliate a 17 year old human.
And Maximus stroked his chin, in thought. "Now, why would I ever put a dog suit on a 17 year old human being? That, in itself is something I clearly voted against." He shook his head in exasperation.
All his pets did not wear dog suits, clown suits, or any type of suits that degraded humans.

Michel sighed in relief a little.
Though for the moment he continued to eye any signs of escape. He didn’t want to go with this ape as the handler stalked away to handle other matters. He brushed his dirty clothes off a little and stared at him. “I thought that’s what orangutan’s did. Humiliate their pets,” he snorted. Then added. “Not that I’m really a pet - this is just a joke, right? I was pretty sure of that.”
He’d started to slowly scoot away in hopes the ape wouldn’t see. Maybe if he did before he got a collar, or picked him up. He was still in dirty old ape clothes anyway.
