The mere shocks he felt didn't feel too bad and when the blade was released, he kicked it out of her reach. Far from her reach where an ape guard grabbed it. He pressed the button again and all the shocks stopped. "Now you had better behave. If you don't behave, human. You'll get another intense jolt far worse than the burns around your neck." He said, rather sharply. He didn't clearly take lightly to his friend being harmed and he despised being hurt himself.
He wasn't about to let her go and bound her arms and legs together. It would be difficult for her to get out of these binds. He glared coldly at the humans. Melanie was still up in the tree, this time armed. He narrowed his eyes at Melanie. "Don't be as foolish as this human."

She grunted after she was tied, but didn't take his warning too lightly. As casually, she attempted to escape, firstly working on her wrists to free herself. As Rowan glowered and threatened at Melanie above, she took priority in grinding the bounds against a tree root beneath her. Occasionally piercing it with her nail. As the patrol would likely busy with the scene above, as it was intriguing to anyone. She quietly removed her boots to easily loosen the ankle binds.

The gorillas weren't lowering their weapons. Not until the human gave them her gun. But it was unlikely she would comply. But they outgunned her. "You know that gun won't stop all of us, right?" Reasoning with an animal was so unlike the gorilla. "Be a good human and we'll find your sister." He attempted as he continued to stare into her eyes.

Melanie didn't put down the gun no matter what. She not once believed these apes nor their lies. "You're all crazy if I put this gun down. You wouldn't understand anything!"
Melanie was still holding the gun at the gorilla. "You don't know anything about us."

Esmeralda had rarely set foot in the hunter's camp but this caused her to leave her cottage. The girls hadn't returned so she figured they must have gotten into a little trouble.
What greeted her sight was a frightened male, a fighting female on the ground, and a familiar girl with a gun. She narrowed her eyes and eased her steed over to the tree. It brought the attention of the gorillas to her. "Melanie! Put that gun down immediately!" Her voice took on a firm tone. One she used only when Carol wasn't listening and it was clear that the girls looked after each other fiercely. Even with her. They did everything together.
"Now Melanie. Do you really want to hurt every gorilla and orangutan here? You lower the gun and come down from there now!" She didn't move from her steed and continued to look at Melanie.

"But they fired at me!" She exclaimed. "Even when they didn't know if I was armed or not. Then the other one told the other gorilla to shoot Maxwell and I down. I can't do that." She was slightly panicking. "Then they said they'd bring me and him to this tribunal." She rattled on. "And some cruel chimpanzee has Carol. I found his tent. It had my sisters stuff there."
She had taken her eyes off the gorilla to look at Esmeralda. "I don't know who he was and these gorillas are pointing their guns at me."

"Had you been obedient and not pull stunts, they wouldn't have any need to try to shoot you down. Give that gun to the gorilla and climb down." She was ordering her. "I assure you no one will shoot you down."
She crossed her arms and waited. "If you don't come down, I'll be climbing up to get you and when I do, you don't want my punishment."

Melanie wasn't panicking she thought. "But I can't. I don't remember how to climb down." She put the gun away. "I only know how to climb up a tree. But I never climbed down without help."
She looked at the gorilla. "I don't want him to help me. He'd toss me down and strip me of the gun. I want the gun when I look for my sister. If I ever find that crazed chimp...I want him. He's going to use my sister like fodder."

Galen was in the way of Silas, to protect Esmeralda, who was busy talking his human down from the tree. Then he realized why she wouldn't be coming down. She could climb up, but couldn't climb down? It was like witnessing a child. He stayed silent, contemplating.
"Lower your weapons." He ordered.
The gorillas lowered their weapons and watched the human and Chimpanzee talk. They wouldn't allow her a weapon in the city.
The gorilla in the tree spoke, "Listen, girl. I want to help you get down this tree, but you have to give me that gun. It's dangerous to you and you'll end up shooting yourself. Look around you, girl. There's no way out of here. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you will be going to your new home and then you'll live a fuller life. You'll live longer under us. We'll provide you your every need."

Silas whipped his sights behind him as the blade vanished from threatening his beefy neck, and the light weight removed. He sighed, pondering why the familiar ape behind him was aiding when he challenged the human. He, however didn't question it and simply allowed to flow.
He turned, appalled that Rowan was awake already. Talk about swift recovery. In his view below he could notice Venus was being shocked. He doesn't bother as she's been too reluctant and a bother like Maxwell. He observed her getting swiftly bound.
While that occured, Silas bounces his eyes above at the defiant girl, and new human. He stroked the rear neck, shaking his head. Already being beyond ticked, with haste he brought out his gun and fired upon the fragile long. Figuring they would easily be caught below with the number of apes.
After, he glimpses back down at Venus, where he could witness to attempting to escape again. His head shook, placing his weapon in the sheath.
"Tsk..tsk..tsk. You don't give in do you? Despite Rowan fried your neck." He lowered his body, his face drawing inches away. "You're already injured, barely healed, why not stop?" He shook his head one. "Ah, but you won't, you're headstrong gladiator. Hard to control and deadly to your foes." He rose up. "An brave ape could easily control you with that collar. You'd give in sooner or later, depends how much you can handle the shocks."

Melanie fell as the limb fell to the ground and a gorilla grabbed her before she reached the ground. He disarmed her immediately. Glancing at the weapon to see it wasn't a real bullet gun. "You took a tranquilizer gun and tried to get us to comply with your idiot commands? And even used Central City's school teacher to bend to your will? Unwise human."
"I'm unwise and an idiot? You're the ones who don't get it." Melanie said. "Humans will always be defiant when they only want their freedom." Melanie said. "Carol and I were much happier out in the jungle than with you awful brutes. Including that one." She pointed to Silas.

He drew his attention from Venus as she casually attempts another method of escaping, once again. Though, where would she go with being surrounded by apes. But honestly, none where paying any attention. So, perhaps, she might get a chance.
Silas's sights glanced from Venus too. Angered from the defiant human, and degrading his race. With haste, he sprinted over. Before she or others noted he was dangerously close. He harshly backhanded the young pest.
"Just because you have a mouth, and only escaped once, but failed to observe your surroundings. Does not provide you the right to bad-mouth my race, and curse at me. That I don't take lightly, ever." A vicious scowl greeted her fiercely eyes. "I dare you to try another."

"Don't say things like that and you won't get punished." Galen put in defense to Silas. She still hasn't learned that defiance didn't get her anywhere. He was amazed that she would do that, regardless. He shook his head. "I warned you, the hunters warned you, Esmeralda warned you."

Melanie's head snapped to the right, her head bouncing off the gorilla's chest. She had never been slapped before and boy did it sting and hurt. She rubbed her cheek, feeling the sting of his slap.
"You're a jerk-face." She said. "Striking innocent humans out of rage! It makes you a coward!" She didn't care whether or not she was backhanded again. "And a monster."

Rowan's finger hovered over the control's button to shock Venus should she try anything again. He smirked, watching her ease herself out of the binds. Now every attention was diverted to the defiant girl and Venus equally.
