Rowan considered something and left Bartu's side. Maybe he should prove to Zaius that the human was afraid of them. He approached the table, Allie was lying on. Not doing anything hostile, but to prove a point that perhaps she was afraid of all gorillas. Especially nice ones. Well, he wasn't really nice. He allowed Bartu to chase the human and he punished her for trying to leave.

Maximus leaned forward, wondering if the human was confused about the line of questioning. "Perhaps, the human is confused about your line of questioning." He spoke. "After all, she is an animal with only so much knowledge."
He noticed Rowan moving towards the human. He guessed to prove a point.

Allie's eyes widened wide and she scrambled off the table in an effort to get away from Rowan. It was all his fault, too. She landed on her hands, and continued to scurry towards the vets table. She fled under their table, grabbed a leg. Not caring who it was. It was a genuine flight reflex, not the typical fight reflex most humans had when they were in their own territory.
Allie was clinging tightly to the leg.

"I object. She already has mentioned that she's afraid of bears and apparently gorillas." It wasn't his legs that she had grabbed because he was able to stand up. Looking down, she had grabbed phoenix's leg and not Serenity's. "She has not bluffed nor was it her fault she lost her child." |

"With all due respect, Dr Zaius. But whatever Bartu has written about the bear petrifying her should be stricken from the record. It doesn't matter if she was petrified of a bear, a big cat, or a crocodile. It's ludicrous to proceed with the mention of a bear." Serenity stood up as she spoke.
"Every ape and human tends to stay away from bears and made no mention of being petrified of bears to any of us! It was only brought up to get her stuck into a trap with the council. One that she seems unable to get out of as you and Maximus believe she is bluffing. As we all can see, she is petrified of these two particular gorillas and no other gorilla is present in the room."
Serenity went on. "I examined the human when Bartu entered the base camp. She stunk of both fear, and muddy water from a contaminated lake. She had more than just the electric whip marks around her ankles. They go up to her thighs." Serenity shook her head. "We're not here to talk about fears of bears. We're here to talk about the fate of this human."
"Should she go back to Bartu or should she remain with the vets? We all know what type of taxidermy Bartu does to humans who have passed. He stuffs them for his own personal pleasure."

Phoenix glanced down as the human fearfully grappled onto his leg as the room hastily intensified in anger. He shrugged, sighing. His eyes shot over to Melody, then Zephram. "Take this human back to the recovery cages, now." He demanded out of the two. "I don't care at this point, she wasn't supposed to be brought here like some evidence."
His glare increased on Melody, who still was in training. His fists pounded on the table in front harshly, trying to ease both Dr. Zaius and Melody. "Enough!" He hollered, loudly, hoping to draw attention. "This is becoming ridiculous..." His paw brushed his wet hair back, sighing.
"Now, now." He muttered, easing his fuming rage. "Now, we both don't know if the human was petrified or not, we have one side saying yes, and one saying no." He didn't want Allie to go to the wicked ape but had to be fair before it became a huge argument, which he tried to prevent. "However, I have plenty of files, cases that involve Bartu with humans."

Serenity fell into an awkward silence, noticing that the human should have been in the recovery cages all along. She coaxed her loose from Phoenix's leg. Serenity held onto Allie and left the room before any ape could stop her. If she didn't, she'd get into further trouble than she was now.
The air was thick in the courtroom. She should have left her in the recovery cages to begin with.

Allie gripped onto Serenity like a lifeline. She was relieved that she was going to be leaving with Serenity and Zephram. She couldn't wait to leave! It was so heavy and she was already thoroughly afraid. Allie didn't say a word as they left.
She only knew she would be curling up to sleep the moment she was put back into the recovery cage.

Zephram followed Serenity and Allie out of the courtroom as ordered. He knew that Allie was traumatized fully by the line of questioning and the air in the courtroom was too thick. He led Serenity into his personal transport, giving instructions to where to go.
Then he turned and went right back into the room.

Kratos rubbed his temple, as his tribunal room was heating up, gradually becoming a wicked argument. He grappled his device to warn the two to cool it, however, Phoenix hollered an order to the two. Kratos wasn't exactly pleased when the chimp tried to take over, however, he didn't interrupt him.
He rolled his eyes, tapping a metallic cube onto the hard surface. "Phoenix, Zephram, and Serenity, alright, alright. We're not sure obviously as Phoenix stated. Perhaps it could of been another reason that spiked her, unless she was beginning too. I mean we've had records of babies not surviving full term. That's been an issue, not just with being fertile."
He dropped the cube, looking down at the two vets. "Am I wrong, Serenity or Phoenix? Or perhaps I need to summon a scientist to confirm this as well. He's been studying these animals for awhile." He sighed. "I mean it's just unclear to be sure if she was one of those humans that don't carry full term, or the shocks. It's hard to prove, unless there's a sort of test I'm unaware about?"

Zephram rubbed his head as he thought. "Serenity and the human are returning to the vet's office as we speak." He flipped through the files to see what else he could find. It would take a vet to read the notes. He couldn't read them. "The human was becoming thoroughly traumatized."

Kratos rubbed the side of his head as the only two people he questioned was either quiet of gone. He shrugged to Zephram's answer. His hand waved his hand carelessly. "So be it, we will await for the two then. This case needs it's most reliant witness, Serenity." He informed, neutrally looking around.
"I can repeat the question when they have returned. In the mean time I'll read over Phoenix's files pertaining on the ape that's fighting for the rights." He added more info to Zephram. He purposely didn't imply Bartu's name.

Serenity returned about fifteen minutes later, without the human. She wasn't about to bring her back into the stressful courtroom. She needed to rest. "The human is in the recovery cage, resting. Under observation." She added, "We can proceed without her because she's too stressed. She was heading into shock."

As time ticked by, dragging the tribunal then it needed to be, and a few council members appeared as if they were revealing their impatience. If they a few would, then they knew the customs, and take a break as the place was being at a pause. Kratos supported his chin by his palm that rested on the table. It was visible that he, too was depleting his patience.
His head lifted when Serentiy had emerged from the twin doors. "Ah, nice you to return. I asked a question while you were strolling away. "Serenity, my question regarding on humans that were losing their child before their term. It's hard to diagnose these humans, I even know you are aware of it." He added, sitting up straight.
"How are we not sure this human that lost her child early isn't one of them? Surely, it's very possible."

Serenity looked at him. "Pregnant females can only carry up to the first trimester." She explained. "The human was further than the first month. The females here drop them at one month. By my examination of the unborn child, it seemed to have no abnormalities or anything. The human was also very healthy. There was no sign of the plague and she is not sterile. The human in question is perfectly healthy as well and if she was brought up in the right conditions, she could try again. But not right away.."
"There is one test that we run on females to determine what makes them lose their children. We test their blood. There's a small particle of the plague that affects them. She doesn't have the small particle."
