Maximus shook his head as soon as the human was returned to the tribunal room. "Someone needs to make sure that human doesn't try that again." Maximus stood up and grabbed the humans' collar. "Maybe a shock collar would do a good thing for this human. Like zaius recommends. Then you'd learn that we don't tolerate escapees. Despite you not being a criminal."

Melanie had a good question. "If I'm not a criminal...then why am I treated like one?" She asked. "Clearly I didn't murder any ape or any human. Or attempted to hurt the three of you orange tangs." Of course, she didn't know species from species with the exception of a chimpanzees and perhaps gorillas. They were all intimidating due to their size and strength. She couldn't struggle.

Zaius shakes his head, folding his arms slowly. "I don't care on your opinion Galen, and you know mine are solid, and rarely changed." His eyes rolled, glaring viciously at Melanie as she was forced in. "Ha! Youe escaped again." His hand flipped in the air. "Nice try, and thank you Silas." His eye shot over to Kratos. "Let's just end this meeting, as our suspects departed. Now, let's go act on our suggestions. Before they get further away."

"Yeah! It was easy!" Melanie said. "And so much fun." She added a little sarcastically. "Really eye opening." She was still sarcastic. But that was because she didn't believe that she was a criminal. "Really encouraging!" She finished her sarcasm.
She couldn't help her sarcasm because she was tired of being treated like a common criminal when she wasn't. Clearly her behavior revealed that she was tired of being in this situation.

Galen wasn't about to discipline his human in public view about her sarcasm. He knew he should have kept his own opinion to himself. Not every ape liked his opinions. He scratched his head not really having any comeback or any thing else to say. He looked at Melanie and shook his head. "Spouting's not a good thing in your case, Melanie. You'll just sink yourself further."

Kratos smirked, lowering himself, his massive form looming over Melanie. "Uh, huh. So easy you got caught right at the entrance, not even close to the doors? You're a failure." He snorts, elevating himself back in place.
He peers over to Zaius. "Yes, we can conclude this meeting until the fugitives are located." Then, he returns intimidating glare down at Melanie. "Galen will enlighten you on our laws and so forth. You break any, depends the severity, you will be tried." He warns, rising up.
He bounces his sights on each member. "Do what you can to spread, and have easier ways to return them. Trackers, footage, reports. Anything really." He lightly banged his fist. "Alive."

"Ha! Why would any ape lay claim to any human when they have their own lives to lead- or a 'right' to a free life." Melanie noticed that they seemed to be in control. But they wouldn't control her every move. "I didn't fail. I tested you."
Melanie didn't seem to be affected by his intimidating stare and rolled her eyes. To be tried here by them? Not really. "Oh what laws? What rules? There are no rules that apply to me, is there?"

Galen lightly yanked on her leash to draw her attention to him. "Come along and I'll tell you about our laws and what rules apply to you humans."

Zaius snotty, producing a snooty, confident grin. "You lie you little pest. You're just saying that because you won't view yourself as a failure at this point. You haven't succeeded once, just dragging yourself in deeper trouble. Disobedient, foolish creature." He peers over at Galen. "Don't let this mutt gradually control you. Hold your fricken ground, and be firm. This dog is no child."

Galen nodded to the council member. "She won't get away with much and as for her mouth? She's mouthing off because she doesn't like to admit failure or weakness." He could sense an underlying 'fear' in the humans' behavior and it worried him somewhat. What did her alpha do to her to act so defiant? Maybe she was told she was a failure nearly every day. She wouldn't talk about her past and that would be hard to let it go.

Melanie found herself glaring at the council member. "I am not a dog or a mutt. A dog or mutt has large sharp fangs, brown eyes, fur all over it's body, a tail, four furry legs, and howls at a full moon. I do no such thing as that." Melanie would go on to say. "I sleep in a soft bed where a mutt or dog sleeps on the floor without any coverings because of its fur. A mutt and dog plays with squeaky silly toys. Eats and drinks out of a bowl of which I don't."
She didn't elaborate on the failure. As far as they were concerned, she wouldn't admit any weaknesses-- to any of them. It already had been drilled that failure was never an option- not in her 'household'. Her alpha always treated her wrong anyway. If past scars could tell a story, they would. She wouldn't confide in any ape nor trust. There was no trust in her eyes. Had she trusted Galen, or any ape, she would have already shown signs of trust. There was no trust.

Zaius viciously scowled at her final remark that blew him over the edge, but creepily he managed his control. He casually walked over to Melanie, grasped her wrist roughly, and hauled her closer. "Listen to you MUTT. Whether you like it or not your foolish kind in these walls are dogs, animals, and pests." He tossed her into Galen. "We have suits in the shape of dogs. If you don't believe you're a dog or mutt...well I can have you placed in one. Regardless of his say." He pointed to Galen. "Even with tails swaying. If you don't, then don't remark again."

Melanie didn't care for being called a mutt nor grabbed roughly by her wrists which were starting to show signs of bruising which Melanie didn't give him the satisfaction that she was hurt
She was no pest, no disgusting animal, nor was she a dog. She believed a pest is an insect with six legs and antennae, a mutt is a mix between two canines, and an animal is a human who lives out in the jungle in a cave with no etiquette. She believed he was wrong. "You- you're wrong." She remarked as she was thrown into Galen.
Her knees hit the floor and still, she didn't give him any satisfaction of pain. Why should she?

Galen wasn't expecting her to be tossed into him and then landing on her knees. He was seeing that Zaius was actually enjoying himself with hurting Melanie. He stepped in front of her and shook his head. "Not a good idea Council Member Zaius to make her get into a dog suit with a wagging tail. It wouldn't solve anything." He had a bad inkling that Melanie would do something once she was in private. Well, adding a dog suit would really add more insult to injury.
"I have a bad feeling - about her 'mental health'." He finally said, on his own observation. "You bruised her wrists, she won't give you all the satisfaction. She lands on her knees and she hides pain from everyone."

Maximus noticed the 'reaction' immediately. "Stop." Maximus ordered the human. "It doesn't matter what you believe you are. You're not an ape. You aren't ape raised and you were found in the jungle. Brought in by an ape. You are a wild human. That makes you an animal. You aren't going to win this round with defiant behavior. You will only hurt yourself further. As I have noted that you are getting bruised wrists and are landing on your knee caps which will shatter if you aren't careful. You hide your pain, but we can sense it."
He looked at Galen. "What mental health? She is an animal."
