Brutus, a patrol that was stunned by one of the wanted fugitives, brought a suspect, yet witness. Brutus was only fumed that his partner had perished. He really wasn't blaming Arnie, just hoping Arnie was going to be a criminal or witness.
He placed him down, removing the solid, jelly cuffs. He figured if he tried to escape, then he was hiding something. Brutus, also notified one of the council, which one was available about the situation.
He sat across from were Arnie had been set. He took a deepened breath. "Clearly you watched that large ape, Silas go after the two fugitives, which were obviously in your home. But you were obviously punched." He leaned closer. "Tell me, did you know they were in there?" He asks.

Arnie could deny it or not deny it. He needed to deny it because he didn't want to face the whole entire council. The rumors from certain apes said they were heartless. All three of them. He sat there, rubbing his wrists. The cuffs were tight and had given him some marks that would leave shortly.
"No." Arnie said. "I guess they sneaked in somehow." There were windows in the house- and he didn't want to admit he had allowed them in.

Maximus walked towards the interrogation room. Another ape-raised human? What was it with them? They should have known better. He was granted immediate access into the room and shook his head. "So many ape-raised humans getting involved. We will need to educate them on this matter. Most are able to read the headlines. Are you illiterate? Can you not read? Are you dense?" He asked the ape-raised human. "Otherwise, you are a little slow on the headlines."

Arnie was surprised that there was a council member. That meant he was in deeper trouble. "I can read. But there were no descriptions of those two fugitives." He knew he had to keep up his facade and pretend he's an ape-raised human. He knew what they'd both do if they found out he was a renegade. If he was nervous, they would soon know.
"I got punched so that meant the man believed I led the CCPD to my house."

Maximus was considering the facts in front of him. Why would another ape-raised human punch another ape raised human. The only solution he could think of. "It's rare another ape-raised human would punch another ape-raised human. It's not unheard of to fight among yourselves. It's a common behavioral issue your species do to solve 'disputes'. You have yet to learn that it doesn't solve much at all."

Brutus rubbed the side of his head, gently tapping the ball of his chair leg. He sighs, listening to the two talks amongst each other as if they were friends. Perhaps this human was more innocent then it showed. However, he wasn't going to give up that easily. Punched? That is very unheard of.
Brutus rose a finger waving it slightly. Now, now, Arnie. Your kind isn't keened on smell as us apes. So, that could be a reason why you didn't know their presence." he adjusted himself in the chair. "Though, I did notice they had weapons? One killed my partner, but the ape-raised punched? So, question, again, did you watch where they went?" He asks.
"I know that gladiator trainer was on their tail. Did you see anything with him that you'd like to bring up to light? Because, I'm wondering if we need to drag him in here by the dealings he had with the two fugitives. Also, don't hide anything, it will only be worse for you."

Arnie knew that his sense of smell wasn't keen. Nor did he know where they were going. Worse for him? He wasn't going home soon? They were going to detain him and he felt that he'd not really be freed like the other ape raised humans in the city. H
Then he blinked as in surprise? "Weapons? I know one of them had a knife and that was it. The other one had a stun gun and used it on you? I saw that much. But after? I have no idea where they went." Then...he added, "I don't see good in the dark."
They would be suspicious of him. "Well, some ape-raised humans fight." He finally said. "It's in their blood, is it not? You can't always breed violence out of a human."

Silas rudely enters the room despite he would have to wait. He was on the other side of the door, listening to the questions that were really just drawing them away from the main issue. Simple, was he accused correctly or not? Obviously, these apes hadn't gathered enough evidence or apes. He was irked that they literally weren't getting anywhere.
His arms furled across his drenched chest, glaring over at Brutus. Constant drips from areas on his soaked fur came down. "No, no, no, Brutus," he gently gritted his teeth, shaking his head. "In light? You were there, Brutus. Hollering at me to kill that ruthless ape-raised human, after that albino foolishly leaped in the river," he clarified the solid facts.
He was fair with his own kind, even ape-raised humans unless he'd seen them break the laws. He unruled his arms, pointing his finger at Arnie. "Clearly he wasn't invited. Being punched by his own kind? That isn't common unless he provoked." His fingers rested on Brutus's chair. "My belief is that Maxwell punched to prevent from getting caught. I mean he stunned you, Brutus." He pulls away. "Whether he saw them or not, isn't the issue. It's if he's innocent or not. Which, I doubt he is guilty."

Brutus rolled his eyes. Seriously, can't see in the dark? He couldn't believe the excuse Arnie tossed out there. His fist pounded the sturdy table edge. "In the dark? Human, there are lights brightening the entire way! How could you not see?" he shook his head, grabbing his forehead. "Are you that dense?"
Just as Brutus was going to respond to Arnie, again. Silas, with no access, barged into the interrogation. Clearly, before Brutus would call out to have him escorted, His mouth was already rumbling with what appeared to be no end. He calmly listened, until he was placed in the light instead of Arnie. No, no, how dare he?
Brutus stood up, flinging a finger towards him. "I may have said it in anger, but I didn't think you actually did since you are known to be sarcastic." He implies, "now, you tossed that, Maxwell, into the river after? Why is that? Because you actually listened?" he froze, realizing what he had said. Oh, he's a patrol, and apes have to obey.
He grappled his own face, plopping into his chair. His arms frailed out. "Alright! He's innocent, we have him on nothing. But, did they have weapons when you were hunting them down, and vanished? Because I'm curious where they got them? I don't carry blades."

Arnie kept his mouth shut as he didn't want to dig his own grave deeper. It seemed better to keep his big mouth shut anyway. He just sat there, hands in his lap. Waiting for them to dismiss him or whatnot. He was ready to go to bed or something. He was rubbing his forehead.
"If I'm innocent? I can go back to my home?"

Maxmimus was listening to their conversation. "They do have weapons." he finally answered. "A blade and a stun gun."
Then he looked at Arnie. "I would suggest protective custody." He mentioned. "For the time being. Enlisting guards outside the house would be the best bet for this human."
"Since he is a witness, he could be used to testify against those two if they are apprehended."

Silas rolls his eyes, leaning against the wall near the fake window, staring over at Brutus. His head shook after having him release the truth of his actions against Silas. If he was going to be in trouble for tossing Maxwell into the river after Venus did. Then that foolish patrol was going to sink too.
His arms furled over each other, figuring this might take time even if Silas viewed Arnie innocent. "Listen Brutus you were so angered because you got fried by that albino you wanted me to destroy the other fugitive, well you're not the only one that was stunned," he huffs, light anger surfaced. "Face the facts, Brutus I listened to your command," he darkly smirks.
His focus bounces over to the welcomed council member, adding to Maximus's suggestion, "that Gladiator and ape-raised human is likely dead in that vicious river." He softly shrugs. "Are you really wanting them back, or is it that albino? Because I know the other is under Kratos? I believe." He furrowed his brows. "Council member Maximus we can follow through. But I'm positive they're dead."

Maximus nodded. "Then I will have to alert Kratos because he is the one who issued the bounty on both. It's unfortunate." He stated, glancing over to Arnie as he asked an innocent question. "I don't think you should really return to the house. It's the scene of a crime." Then he thought. "As a matter of fact, you may take a temporary residence in my manor or if you have a friend that can help you. I suggest you call him if you do." Maximus offered helpfully.

Arnie grew very worried about what the officer may say. He didn't want to go into the cells and he suddenly grew apprehensive. What if he wasn't released soon? Arnie also grew silent, as he picked on a piece of thread on his overlord garments. He glanced over to Silas, to hear him speak.
Then Maximus offered something he wasn't really sure. He had one or two friends. But they were working a late night shift.

Sias had noted Maximus either ignoring or refusing to admit. Fine, it's not the first where he's confronted an ape about a mater and they completely avoid or even switch topics. A little cowardly he views it. He will never admit though, no need to stir up more then it already has.
His head bobs, smirking with light amusement. Even the council draws attention away if possible. "Hmm, it is unfortunate, council Maximus. I guess since you don't want to answer. I'll just shove them both into the rings if I get a hold of that is." He whispers then drew back.
His arms folded, leaning against another wall, away from his arms if he decided to use them. "Does that mean the bounty comes off?" he questions. "Yes, he does need to be protected regardless. "Never know what humans may do."
