Silas had recently purchased a human pup! A pup. They're very young and need to be attended by their birth parents or their race. What cruel ape would pass a law/rule with such cruelty? Who knows how apes might act to them. Hopefully not harsh. He'd hope there be a strict law to defend the wee ones. He sure wasn't going to treat him like an adult, but a pup. Like a small puppy dog learning life, and rules.
Quietly he entered through the doors, Ace on his back like a young ape. But only females seem to only do that thing, but Ace had no ape mother to do it. It was quiet, no other apes but one. It must have been a slow evening. It might be closing soon too. Silas purchased Ace at a very late time in the evening, not to mention walking over to the Warren's. It was tiring for some, but Silas enjoyed it immensely.
Upon entry, Silas lowered Ace to the glossed flooring. It must have been recently cleaned. He glances over to the keeper of the shop and waves friendly over. "Now, Ace, I'd like you to pick things that you'd like. Like the collar..." he froze in his offerings. Wait, does the warren have children clothes now? His head shook. "Just toys and a collar." He finished his offers. His eyes returned to the merchandise, examine each section.

Collar? He had to pick his own collar?
He felt a little nervous about this as he was set on the floor. Everything here looked so different. He didn’t have these types of toys at home. He did make himself calm and take a deep breath though. “I don’t even know what I’m looking for,” he admitted rather nervously as he walked towards the collars. The kids ones he noticed were bright and some even had designs. He looked over each a little. His stomach sinking more as he did. Finally, he remembered that apes liked their pets to stick out. So he grabbed a baby blue, furry collar. Hoping it would be comfy. “This one doesn’t look so bad.” He knew it would bring out his eyes and keep him useful.
His eyes turned to the other things in the kids section. Security blankets, stuffed animals, puzzles... He noted the clothes too. Which were indeed there. Some regal, but nearly all just as bright as the colors he noticed. Stepping over to them first he looked them over, noticing that a great many of them had their buttons or zipper in the back...
He knew that it meant. “Are these so you can dress us? The ones in the back I mean?” He asked as he swallowed a little bit. “Please tell me I get to at least where adult clothes.” He added as he eyed a few onesies and animal suits with a chill up his spine.

Silas seeking out a few things for Ace. Something a little less than fancy, but not ordinary. There were all sorts of things, but the ruthless training items went here? Perhaps the not scare away the pets? Good call.
Silas shifted until Ace was in his direct stare. A soft smile dressed his face. "Ah I see you fancy in the fuzziest collars. No worries, if it's what your desire, go on," he reminds him of his generous offer.
After clearing that up, Silas resumed looking through the things. He didn't think the child while actually run away. Where would he go? Attempt a runaway? Poor young thing.
Then, another question popped into his ears. He released one sigh, neither irked or annoyed, just bothered while he was busy. He didn't enjoy being interrupted while focused. He understood the child's curiousness.
Oh? Those weird attire. He had forgotten they even existed. For a moment he grimaces, walking over to the few. He heard the small gulp. Can't blame the child. A few fingers grappled the arm sleeve out, examining them.
"Uh, sorta? Could be for looks too," he throws another hypothesis out there. "I think they're honestly silly, and seem to infest the child's clothes." He releases the clothes. "Adult? I don't think they have it in your size," he whispers to Ace after crouching down to his level. His eight feet tall posture would frighten any human. Now masculine? Maybe not.

Did he fancy the fuzzy ones?
He didn’t fancy any of them. Between the rimestones, the studded ones, or the neon colored flashy ones. After a minute - he decided. “I think it’s the one that...” he wanted to say disturbs him the least. But instead decided. “I just think it’s pretty. And mom always said blue brings out my eyes or something. I saw you staring at them before. Part of the reason you bought me right?”
Ace was no fool, he knew how rare a blue eye color was. Let alone his blonde hair. The apes probably valued anyone without brown irises.
He sighed in relief as he said that it wasn’t his size. He was looking more at the robes anyway, they had pretty colors. Though as he turned he nearly jumped a little as the ape bent to his level, god he was tall. “I heard you get in trouble without one of those on me,” he managed as he held the collar out to him. “I don’t know how it goes on. I’ve never seen one before.” He explained as he tilted his head.
He tried not to be scared. But he was so big and the collar was even scarier. “I like the robes, I can’t read if they’re “child” but they’re small,” he added. Looking down. “Plus I can’t wear these rags I’ll be cold won’t I?” He asked hinestly.

Little amusing, watching the variety of face expressions on Ace's face as he crossed girly, gemstone collars to boyish bright collars. Poor human wasn't aware that Silas had schemes with hair accessories. Not very much girlish, but colourful ones.
He smiles, gently removing it from Ace's small fingers. He brought it close, examining it, then darted his eyes down at Ace's. The child was correct, this certain shade brightened his eyes. After, he looped the unique collar around Ace's thumb.
"Yes, your mother was very right. We could gather more accessories in that shade," he confirms, walking back over, this time at the hair supplies.
He listened to the light huff, and smirks. Clearly the child felt safe from the disturbing attire. Little did he know, he wasn't completely lucky. He was going to he dressed in onesies at night, regardless where, mostly. He rises, moving to a higher rack.
His eyes shined at the few items that siezed his eyes. "Mm, nice, nice." He plucks it off the rack.
Trouble for not wearing a collar? Yes, he was right, but he didn't know another thing. Silently, he turns to face the little fella. "You can also have a chip implanted in, so you don't have to wear one. Well maybe not here in the states," he shrugged.
As if the poor child knowing his new fate to Silas. A hair piece was experientially placed in his hair by Silas. "Oh, maybe. I like this one."
Cold? possibly. His head shook, drawing the clip away, peering back down at Ace. "I can get you a few of them. I guess they had things. That was swift," he muffles. "Froze? unlikely. It's mostly humid."

Ace felt a little more awkward when he started to be sized up for things.
Most awkward we’re the hair pieces. Just how dressy did the pets in central city get? He heard him mention that he was possibly going to get it and he decided to ask. “Hair pieces? Do you like my hair or something?” He asked not thinking about his brighter hair color.
When he mentioned how it was humid he took a deep breath. That was better at least as he started going through toys. A few action figures caught his eyes but he got only one to be conservative. Then a stuffed animal or two, a puzzle cube...
That would probably at least keep him occupied most days. “I’ve heard getting the chip hurts,” he admitted finally. “The states? You’re not from here?”
With the toys picked out he simply stood by his new master waiting to see what he’d do next. Did he need to go and try on the clothes somewhere? He hoped it would be nothing too degrading at least.

Like his hair? Yes, but cute enough to place hair pieces? Nah. He'd do it to any human hair. Even the feral ones he's trained. He views humans more adorable with accessories in their hair. Like a little froo froo dog all dolled up. At times his pals he casually gambles with a question, and shake their head. The ones that only own ferals.
He warmly snickers, lowering the hair pieces downward. "Yes, I do like your hair color. But the reason why I'm decorating them in? No, no. I've done it to other humans," he casually explains, placing a few backs on the rack."Now that you're a child, I think it just might be more adorable."
Ah, so the little one had finally discovered Silas's true state of origin. Clever little fella. He smirks, returning the rest, but one. "I'm not from here, and I have been reminded that when I cross the line. Like recent, with a council member," he explains, walking to where he was seeking through the toys.
"Yes, it hurts, but that's what sedatives are for," he mentions, taking a few toys, and brought them closer. "You're not into toys, are you? I have a few you might be interested, even if they're for the rings," he offers, dropping the common toys.
He strolls over to the clothes, probably the kids' worse nightmare. His eyes scan across the limitless rack. He grabs a cyan blue robe with yellow stars. "Maybe?"

That was all interesting.
But he was most curious where the ape cane from. Where could he have come from? Another country? “So where are you from then?” He asked as he continued to examine the hair pieces. “Well whatever you chose do they have changing rooms? Maybe I can wear my stuff out.” And dress himself.
He nodded a little at the toys. “They’re just all very kiddy.” He admitted. “But I can take a look at the ones you mean.”
He noted the sedative part it made him more nervous. “No... maybe a collar isn’t bad after all.” He explained honestly. A little shaky. “I don’t really like doctors too much. It’s already going to be bad enough going to see the vet.” He added honestly.
When he saw the cyan blue robe he swallowed a bit. It was very bright, but he also had expected the blue’s by now. “Should I try it on for you then? Sometimes it’s easier to tell with it on.” He added.

Where he originated? That was one subject he avoids expressing to others. In fact, he wasn't happy when others acknowledged it, primarily his close friends. He might be 'turned' down for his birth country. Apes in these times seem very picky, and slight racist.
Silas pretends a smile, disturbed by the topic. His large palm caresses Ace's head as if he was a genuine dog. "Mmm, let's switch to a different topic, okay?" He at first asks modestly, he doesn't like issues he doesn't enjoy to be forced. Dressing room? Silas didn't hesitate to act on that matter. "Yes, yes I'm sure it's in the back?" His eyes skip over to the backroom.
He snickers, rubbing his head, only this time playing with one strand of hair. "You're a human pup, of course, it's going to be kiddish," he apprises the obvious, looking back, down at Ace. "How about this," he shifts his hand," you go ask the shopkeeper here about the dressing room, while I gather a few extra things," he suggests but was likely an order.
Another chuckle escaped. "Oh, Ace, I'd thought you agree," he didn't feel like going in depth with the topic."Hey, hey, there's no reason to shake," he assures, stroking his head. "The vet?" He mutes. He had forgotten he might have to take him to the animal vet. "uh, didn't you see one after you arrive? I thought it was custom."
He bobs his head, leaning the clothes close down to Ace. "Yes, go on and do that."

Well that was all the answer he needed.
But he did feel a little bad that he felt such as that. He was thankful for the dressing room however, he was a bit surprised when he wouldn’t talk about his past. He guessed that did make sense. “I suppose that makes sense. But...” he decided not to finish the statement. “That sounds like a plan!”
The vet! Of course he had gone to the vet first thing when he had been taken and hated it with a fiery passion. “Well, yes I went to the vet and it wasn’t terrible but I didn’t like it,” he admitted. A little nervous. “I... I guess if getting me chipped is that important I’ll do it.”
He was quick to get off topic and take the clothes to the back. When he had put them on, they didn’t look... Awful. But getting dressed was a bit annoying since the dressing rooms didn’t have privacy. The apes obviously worried about stragglers that would run so each door had an ape at it and you had to knock to get out.
Once he was dressed and ready to present himself he prepared himself to be appraised. He didn’t even know how he was supposed to really look but he was sure Silas would tell him if it didn’t look good. “Silas?” He called once he saw him. “I don’t know. How do I look?”

Melody was confused, wondering why a human child was with an orangutan. She had to act like she didn't know about this new law. She secretly knew. Found it was awful. She had been watching the entire exchange quietly, not really butting into the conversation. Well, many humans shopped here with their owners.
"Hello?" She asked. "Welcome to Warrens."

Silas was quite appalled at Ace for not driving deeper into the topic. Actually, he was quite pleased. Some of his dealings with apes try hard to uncover his location or why he was even in this country. It was nice to have some respect for once.
A few things caught his eyes, when he took a brief moment to observe the items behind where he stood. Well, some seemed more for a female pup. While others appeared too 'eye-catching.'
His eyes averted back to Ace's response. This child really had forgotten if an ape in white examined him or not? Maybe it might be a brighter plan to have him checked out again. "I don't like visiting the doctors, but it's custom." His fingers scratched his head. "Well I'd like to because there's been a large number of human runaways that contained no collar," he commonly explains his recent reasonings.
Of course Silas would keep a strict with eye on the backdoor. He knew that a band of apes love to abduct any humans, and have different outcomes for the humans. A few times he's witnessed in congested areas.
** Silas warmly waves, smiling over to Melanie. "Thank you." He bounces his eyes down, then back to Melanie. "Say, do you have any human pup's clothes?" he questions as Ace returns.
He shifts around, peeling his eyes downward, examining Ace. He was pleased. His finger circulated. "Do short turn."

Runaways?
So he was afraid he would run away. Dammit. He’d already been thinking about it honestly - a lot since they’d left and if this left him with a tracker he knew there would be no way of ever leaving. “What makes you think I’d run?” He asked honestly. Though he had a feeling he had no choice. “I mean I’ll do it. But maybe I wouldn’t run”
———-
He felt a little nervous as they stood in front of the cashier.
Instead of speaking he only waved a hello instead. Of course he did a twirl around like the ape asked, though he felt a little odd being appraised by cuteness and he knew it. “It’s definitely comfortable and airy,” he admitted very calmly. Before adding. “Hello miss.” To not seem rude.

Silas shifts around, peering down at Ace. His head tossed back, laughing very loudly. This child this serious? He's been around a varied of apes. Children, never. But young adults, he figures they'd act very close.
His arm reached out, roughing up his hair. "Oh, Ace," his head shook, grasping his forehead again. "Because you're young its, like your only defense, " he whispers retracted his hand away. "I don't doubt you will try. You hate your circumstances and escape it," he adds.
Perhaps he could frighten the young child into not even thinking it. For a moment, a cold grin swept across his face. Also having a second thought as it might scare him worse than he thought.
"Uh, Ace, " he calmly says, grasping his shoulder so he would face him. "You don't want to run off. You know why?" he purposely descends his lips close to his ear. "Bands of apes would like to swipe humans, especially your age," he ruthlessly implies, "you don't want to know what they do. Just think of it this way, they waste nothing, " he rose back up.
Silas examines the entire attire as the adorable child circulates. "I think this one will do. If you want, or later, you can try another. But I'm sure you want to leave."

Ace felt a lump in his throat.
Were there actual bands of apes that did that? Admittedly he knew just about nothing about the city so he had no real idea what to expect. His heart beat a bit, what if he got lost then? Maybe he needed that microchip then, and he couldn’t get lost or taken then.
Not like he was going to run, but if he tried at least he’d have a way to be found if taken.
“Ok, maybe the microchip is a good idea after all,” he said as timidly as he could manage. It was a little nerve wracking. “How soon can we get one in me? I don’t want to be taken by some freak of an ape!”
Did he want out of there? Hell Yeah he did, this was probably the worst shopping trip he’d ever taken after all. “Yeah, I’m ready to go ho...” he paused knowing he wasn’t going home. “I’m ready to go wherever I live now... I’m really tired.” He admitted as he rubbed an eye
