Melody was surprised that Silas would ask if they had any children's clothes. They haven't even gotten a shipment in yet. "I'm afraid we just have what you see at the moment."
She looked over to the young boy. "Aren't you supposed to be - with your guardians?" She was confused because it was rare seeing children in the shop. They weren't even prepared if they were to be pets.

Witnessing the cruel results on Ace's face, induced a cold, successfully feeling to Silas. It had acted beautifully. Now to see how it goes from being petrified of the possibility. He assumed the child wouldn't be worse than a startled stag in the woods. Children are easy to terrify, but teens? Not as much.
A microchip? What brilliant, obvious idea. A mild hand settles on Ace's head, with shady sights staring down. "I'm glad you have chosen reasonably. You won't have as many threats as you would without one," he visibly tricks, cruising closer to the stand where Melody was serving.
He smirks, fiddling with his golden strands for a bit, "Ah, as soon as we're fulfilled here. Then, no sadistic ape would snatch you," he continues with his harsh lying. Even if the vicious group did steal, it would be likely they would remove it. Now was he going to express that truth? Of course not.
His eyes soften, inspecting over at Melody. "Huh? Perhaps you can display on your board outside," he fires his thumb behind, directing to the door. "When you have a fresh load? Eh?" he hints, talking sleekly than before. He grips the edge of her purchasing station. "Apparently not so. I disagree with it, but who knows what would be the next buyer to this adorable little creature."
He smiles down at the anxious child, gently pinching his cheeks. "New law I'm afraid so."

"Then it'll take time for each shop to start carrying teen clothing and their necessary equipment. We're only used to adults and having to groom them." Melody informed him. She hoped that he wouldn't be too angry with their selection of clothing and other necessities for the humans. "But we do have beds, bed sheets, and blankets of many colors. Someone also introduced an orthopedic foam bed for humans too." She didn't want to sell him anything he didn't need.
"Oh. We also toys for teens here, too and maybe a new item for under the arms. It helps with underarm odor. They help stop smells. Human cologne and perfume too." Melody did try to further what they had.

That soon?
He was mildly scared of the idea that he had to get the microchip put in so soon. Couldn’t they wait for a bit? He wondered. Though he refused to make much of a face to argue about it. Instead he managed to nod. “O-Ok. If it’s that important. I’ll be happy too.” He managed.
When she asked about his guardians, he was silent. Unsure how to respond, but the ape did it for him of course. After which he added. “Yes I suppose that makes him my guardian now... Or owner. That’s what they said.” He managed sheepishly. Though when she mentioned. “Grooming?”
He really hoped he didn’t have to go through that between his smell and overall dirtiness. He had hoped to bathe himself. “You mean humans get washed and brushed by you...?” He asked.
Ace felt his cheeks pinched and grimaced slightly, though he kept himself calm. “It’s ok though. He’s good to me so far. I like him...” he managed though his shakiness showed off some of his nervousness.

Silas could fully understand on Melody's limited supplies of childish things. It was basically a fresh law, and she probably hadn't heard of it, as of yet. Word will spread fast, apes will be upset, while others would enjoy the new law immensely. It might draw in unwanted company.
He taps on the edge of her stand, taking one shake of his head. "Nah, don't worry about. If being upset over this, now that's just silly," he mentions out of truth. He smiles, peering down at Ace. His brow rose, impishly smiling as a few dark thoughts swayed into his mind. "I'm sure we can find nice things for the little fella."
He grasps Ace by the underarms and places him on the edge of the table. "I really enjoy the hair accessories, Melody, I do thank you for your designs on it." His cold, malicious smile fades. A dark stare fired over to Melody, "Perfume? Oh, please bring it forth," he snickers to himself. "Toys we can do a little later."
He resumes focussing on Ace, washing his shady face to a warm smile. "Yes, a chip would do you good nicely. I'm very happy you agree," he strokes his fluffy hair. "Yes, it's one of my favorite things to do to humans. Bathing, brushing, and adding accessories," he admits to the child when Melody had left.
Good to him? How sweet. He might shift his thoughts when he has to act the role.

Perfume? He wondered what on Earth a perfume was.
Though this whole thing made him nervous as he was placed on the counter. He was beginning to feel like a little doll for this ape to play with and he didn’t know how he could honestly take that. He opened his mouth to perhaps argue against it - but stopped short.
He decided now was the best time to ask politely what he had planned for him.
“I haven’t even asked. What was the purpose you bought me for anyway? That you want me dressed a certain way and maintained?” He asked wearily - his voice faltered a bit. “I’m one of those lap or companion dogs, aren’t I? I’ve heard of them. The ones that make apes look good and...” he swallowed. “Sit in their laps.”
It was nerve wracking to imagine honestly and maybe scared him a little. “Am I really that good looking?” He asked with a small voice.

As Melody was busy, Silas took a short break from the child on the counter. He placed him on the stand to ensure he wouldn't scurry away, and dress him up with an assortment of accessories. Would he dare to bolt? Not likely. Each child has that thought when they're forcefully taken. As if it was nature.
WHat purpose? How adorable. Ace wants to know what his specific role was. And Silas, as casual shifts the subject in avoidance to answer. He hears him. Quietly he reverses until Ace was in his view. Well, he was so adorable just unintentionally posing himself, like a porcelain doll, pristine for purchase.
He purposely places a few pieces of jewelry, mainly men. "You're cuter in silver than you are gold," he attempts heard to shift the topic. "Hmm, maybe even colorful tags in the ears?" That time he intentionally teased. He enjoys wearing studs and such. Maybe he can have him dressed as a killer 'dog' with the spiked collars, intimidating attire.
He lowers the items in his hand. "You're cute as a little liger kit," he answers, taking a pice of his cheek and shook it.

Melody was about to answer, but decided not to. "It's for special occasions like your birthday, the festivities, and festive dinners." Melanie wasn't sure if humans ever celebrated the day they were born. She knew they did in the renegades. They managed to keep track someway. She began to gather his items, placing them into a bag.

Ace was starting to feel awkward now.
What the heck was this ape doing? Was he really going to dress him in all of these little jewelry accessories and stuff? It was more than a little awkward and a part of him wanted to get down and run. But honestly, at the same time, the boy had that small fear about what the ape had said about creepy apes looking to take him.
The boy felt his ears a bit. “Do I have to wear all this jewelry?” He asked a little innocently. “And perfume? I feel like people are gonna laugh...” he admitted a little nervously.
Then, knowing how badly that could end for him he added. “But if you want it I will! I’m just saying...” he said a little more nervous. “I mean if I really look that cute I want you to be happy.”
