"You're welcome." He was thinking of the same thing about how cool and horrid this was. He believed that she was right.
"You're right about the conditions here. It's sickening." He was cooling down, but wouldn't really let it bother him. His skin was thicker and he was always on the warm side without layers. He smiled and sat down next to her. "We could share body-heat, sleep with our backs together." He suggested helpfully.

Aurora smiles, expanding a little more. "Won't you be-?" she pauses, averting her eyes to the stone floor. "Mm, never mind." she sighs.
Once he planted himself beside her, a little close, but she welcomed it. She looks, smiling larger. "Back to back? Are you sure? I don't think it will channel much heat." she muffles.
Her cheeks shifts into a faint pink. She darts her eyes back down. "I, think we should." she uses, turning more flushed. "We might need to-" she drops her head, signing. "Cuddling." she mutters.

Andrew knew she was embarrassed. "It'd beat being frozen to death." He admitted, looking at the stone floor. "And it's to keep limited - touch with the stone cold floor." He decided to come out.
He knew cuddling would be something they would need to do because they haven't had any warmth or a bed. Or any conveniences. They hadn't even eaten since being caught. He wasn't expecting any food or water from any guard. They were too heartless too. He hadn't even had a single piece of granola or a piece of fruit. "Did they remove everything from you? Like food?" He asked cursing himself for not being prepared. Maybe they should have stayed in the palace.

Aurora frowns for a second. Andrew was correct. But would they really allow their profit to freeze? The ones up front didn't seem as cold. But why they both shoved to the back?
Aurora reluctantly nods, nibbling on her lower lip. "I, uh, we should then." she muffles. "How would you want to?" she stutters, not expecting it, but they needed warmth.
Ah, the subject shifted, was that good? Her head shook. "No, just the gun. I don't think they cared to search," she states, lifting her chin, looking over at him. "I have fruit slices," she informed. She takes out a plastic bag filled with a variety of cut fruit. She places it on his lap. "I'm not that hungry."

Andrew nodded. "They don't like any human armed because guns mean power."
He took a look at the fruit slices in the bag. It was just enough for two days. Given how much each would need to eat. He couldn't eat all of them. "I say we ration out this fruit...for the both of us." He suggested. "If they don't give us warm food or warm drinks, we'll be worse off than before." He finally admitted, getting closer to envelop her. He was much warmer and it spread to her. "If we don't ration these out, we don't know how long they intend to keep us here."
He gave her the fruit slices to hide from sight.

Aurora frowns. "They really despised any human with any weapons. I wonder, for myself if they fear that from the Renegades, is convincing our race to join in the alliance. I...think it's odd." she lowers her head.
She was about to respond until Andrew's warm body surrounded her. She was very tense and grew intently flush. What an awkward moment that had to be done. "I, uh," she smiles looking down. Though, his heat was much more welcoming than the cold. Softly, she places her hand on his knee. "I ate at the ruins. Please, take some. Since you didn't."
"Probably not long." She looks around. "Doesn't seem that way."

"Yes they do." Andrew agreed. "Humans don't deserve to be serving these apes. They're all the same species. I don't understand why they couldn't just treat us as equals." He shook his head. "They treat us like we're ignorant and arrogant creatures. If we were all raised ape, we'd know ape. If they were all human, they'd know what we know. But they choose to remain ignorant and thickheaded. They brainwash humans into believing they're needing to be their pets and so forth. You want to protect humans, don't treat them as mindless or brainless parasites."
Andrew ate a few pieces of fruit. "It doesn't seem that long. I wonder what they are intending to do with us since we're renegades."

Suddenly the transparent door sunk to the floor, opening. Two apes scurried in with poles each in one grasp. The door swiftly seals back up preventing such escape. Both motioned closer. One on the opposite loops it around Andrew, hoping to appall him.
He forces him to his feet, hauling him out. The other wraps Aurora's neck with the noose, preventing her from going after.
Aurora as far as she can, extending a hand. "Andrew!" she hollers after he was out.
The one with Andrew pauses, looking at the other. "Are they a mating pair?"
He drags Aurora out. "It wasn't mentioned in their records from those three. So, they're going to be sold separately." He snarls drawing him away.
Aurora was followed after. "Hey, hey, not so harsh." she pleads.

Andrew hugged Aurora even as the door opened. He was forced to his feet and groaned. Then realized, "No! Aurora!" He reached out even as he was pulled out of the cell and was pulled harshly along. He gurgled, as the noose was tight around his nape. It was choking him from the harshness.
All he knew was was he was going to choke to death if the guard didn't loosen it. He was practically uncertain where they were taking them. It couldn't be good. At all.

Occasionally they would loosen, being skilled on where and how they would ease on the poles, to where they would not strangle to death. One of them noticed Andrew's defensive reaction. He keeps the pole high, and slow down. "You sure we shouldn't sell them as a pair, they seem very close."
The one with Aurora snarls, slowing down, mirroring the other one's technique. "Gah! Even if we should, we can't!" He roughly pulls Aurora forward. "They belong to Brunhilda and Kenny, which one is dead. We can't go against wishes," he grumbles, heading to the main auction area.
The other one sighs, following after.
The two eases to a stop by the entrance. There was one already going on. Loud, exclaiming shouts were booming in the vastness. One that had been denying the other looks over. "Have that soft skin auctioned first."
The other one nodded, dragging Andrew out.
Aurora fought the pole viciously as he was going off. "Andrew!" she poles inward to release noose, then bolts for him. She grips onto him.
The one stops, glaring down, then over to other one. "Sir?"

Cobra strolls in, pondering why the next item was lingering more than ever. The one on the stand, bound to a pole wasn't over quite yet. He pauses after leaving the auction room for a bit. Right in the entrance to the room, he spots two apes with two humans.
He scurries over, smacking the one that had Andrew across the head. "What are you two morons waiting for?! Your lengthening time when we have a strict order and schedule! Now get that blonde rat out there now!" He orders. "You don't then I will." his voice caused crawling chills up the patrol's spine.
"These two are hugging and being close. I really think they're a mating pair," he mentions, slightly cowering.
Cobra glares over, darkly smiling. "Oh, how sweet," he whispers sarcastically, ripping the pole away. "THey're going separate." he snarls, roughly hauling him out. "Don't drag on!"

Andrew wrapped his arms around her. "Please! No...Don't separate us!" He pleaded. "She's my mate." He finally said.
Then he was pulled away. Whatever dignity he had, he began to fight. Although, it might have been useless, he kept trying to fight. "No!" He pulled and dug his feet into the dirt. He didn't want to leave Aurora. "No please!"
He wasn't going to give up! "Aurora!"

"Cobra!" One call over gripping Andrew's restraining pole. "He just admitted to being paired with her!" He desperately informs, with a heavy gulp. Sweat excreted from his pores, very anxious.
A deadly scowl shots at the patrol. "How dare you," he snarls, grasping the pole, and hauled it roughly. "Reports say separate, that's how we're going to follow." His curled fist bashed the gorilla in the jaw. "You're going for these humans?! They're Renegades, lower than fugitives."
The gorilla fell back into the wall, bringing a palm over his fresh wound. He adjusted his jaw, glaring down at him. "Ack. Whatever." He drew back. "Just trying to...ugh." he walks off.
Cobra glares over at the patrol with Aurora. "They might have a playdate," he snorts coldly, roughly dragging Andrew out.
"Enough!, Or I'll muzzle you," he threatens, drawing him to the auction stand, even binding him to a bar. "Just think of it, Renegade, you can find a new mate. WHy keep the same?" he viciously chuckled.
"Apes! Just like the previous sale, this is a male Renegade! Green eyes, and mixed blonde." He calls out, walking out. "Now, this one contains the collar from the century-old king, Ragnor! Now, this collar is one of the top pets he had." H
He circles around. "Let's start, let's say at five hundred!"

Aurora paused for a moment. Mates? Were those truthful words or another attempt to possibly get away? She wasn't sure. Therefore, she fought again, going in on it. "Wait, please don't take him away!" She tried to reach after him. She drops to the ground crying out, "Andrew!" She honestly liked him a ton, so the pleading was no lie.

"Aurora!" It was like his worst nightmare and couldn't wake up. He fought against the pole, and then the bar. He kept trying to walk off the stage. He never would shed any tears, but he already felt like his heart was ripping into two. "Aurora! No... Please! Don't! We're mates- I'll never find another." He was crying out loud.
He groaned in pain as the binds cut into his wrists.
