Tiny was getting a little nervous now.
Generally he was not a scared kid but he had amassed quite a crowd at the moment. Not to mention that one female chimp had already thrown in her bid for him. He’d stayed retreated and a little fearful in the corner at Maximus’ insistence.
The handler was sputtering - dumbfounded that Maximus had come to say that to him. It was one thing to tell Norrix and Rowan to shove it. But he didn’t have the guts to say it to Maximus. ”Fine, fine! God I’m putting it away.” he snarled and made a showy gesture of doing so. ”I’m just trying to get him to co-operate and stop being such a skiddish pup.”
After that he decided to try to save his skin and point at Esmerelda. ”As it stands we’re at 800 for the best lap dog money can buy,” he said as he grinded his teeth in annoyance. He just wanted Tiny gone now. ”Surely something as tall as him though is worth more being so unique.”
Tiny hugged his knees to his body and watched. He genuinely wanted out of there and to be someone’s pet. But the whole situation scared him like a small animal might be. Even if he knew he wouldn’t be beaten - or so Maximus said. “If it helps. I also sing,” He managed with a small voice. “I’m not trained but I could be.”

Maximus greeted his friend. "Greetings Zaius. I was passing by when I heard all this noise and walked right in to look for Aaron. Seeing he's here, trying to make a difference in the treatment of this human. When I walked in, I saw the gorilla walking to get a cattle prod to strike the human into obedience. I told this gorilla that he would lose his job should he strike this human puppy." Maximus answered. "I am impressed that Aaron actually took the initiative first to see what all the fuss was about first with another gorilla as a witness." He shifted his gaze to Aaron.
"No. You're doing something that may not be looked as good, but we don't entirely approve of children getting beaten or shocked. No matter if it's a pet or an ape-raised human child."

He glimpses back to Aaron, sighing, but not in annoyance. "Because I do not like being interrupted, especially when I'm lashing out a disrespectful, isolation of a handler," he explains, gritting his teeth, irked. He wasn't irked at Aaron, but the situation. "Besides, I didn't want the pup getting harmed, you seen how this moron reacted."
He walks over to the handler. "You're very foolish, ape. I dare you to disrespect me again. I will have you arrested for animal abuse to a pup! Don't ever tempt me," he snorts, drawing back. "I have no problem shutting this infested area down, either," his threats continue. "You have an issue, say it close to my face, coward."
He walks back as Maximus was on the same level as Norrix in the pup's state. He remained quiet as the two lashed out. There was no need for the interior. The bid was called out? Another child? Boy, can he really handle another nightmare? Between the temporary ones, and now a permanent one? Well, could see.
He places his hands behind his back, turning towards Zaius. "I just came here to examine the cages, council member Zaius," he explains. "In the meantime, I'll do 900."

Tiny was a little more than stunned when the general bid for him.
Surely the upper echelan wanted rarer humans than him. But at the same time he wouldn’t complain. His last master had been poor and practically dressed him in rags. ”I do have an issue, I think you’re pig headed and full of yourself,” the gorilla snorted at him. ”But 900 for him, now we’re talkin’. Especially if it means you get out of my face.”
However, the gorilla was also a true salesman at heart. He looked at Tiny carefully and decided if they’d pay that much, they could pay even more. ”Tell ye what. To shows there’s no hard feelings,” he sneered as he said that last bit. ”I’ll give you him for 1000 and pay his vet bills for the microchip and shots. Least I can do for such an esteemed general.”
Of course, he was making a ton of money back on the sale either way. And if he turned him down, he’d make the same offer to the female chimp. Now that he knew just how much people were willing to pay. ”I’m sure you could get good use out of him. Something big and strong to show off.”
Tiny crawled to the front of the cage now and looked out. What was going to happen? Was anyone going to actually pay that price? Somehow he doubted it but he was growing curious to see how the general would process.

Maximus watched offstandish, thinking about whether Esmeralda and Norrix would bid bigger money to get the human. He glanced over to Aaron. He seemed silent now as he took his place near Zaius. The young man was aware of how gorillas were if they were to battle it out.
Maximus crossed his arms.
Esmeralda didn't want to bid first and thought if she did, she'd have to work like hell to get the money. She even had a limit, but she could dip into her savings or a credit card. She was considering. Bid or no bid. Bid or no bid?

Norrix rolls his eyes, a little irked, leaning closer. "When we're through here, I'm going to charge you. If I need witnesses?" he grins, swaying his hand towards the number of apes. "They are. But my top one," he directs his finger high. "That video provides all, even when we weren't around."
He snorts, drawing back. "I told you not to temp with me, you still did. You're a moron, who's like a child trying various ways to get their mother to say yes." He pats his head. "Such a naughty ape," he snickers, walking away. "I'm not going any higher, you greedy buffoon." He turns over to the other apes.
"You're going against bidding regulations," he honestly pitches in. "You can't say the next number unless your bidding on that pup yourself? So you either take 900 or not. I'm not going to add more because I already am the top bid." he growls, turning to him. "Take it or not, up to you."

The gorilla gritted his teeth. Of course he knew that Norrix spoke the truth.
He didn’t have a reply either - only hoped maybe the council would lighten his sentence if he indulged Norrix. Before Tiny had time to react the cage had been swung open and he’d been hoisted out by his armpits directly in front of Norrix.
”Fine, nine hundred. You’ve got yourself a lap dog. But if you think I’m going to prison quietly you’re very mistaken,” he gave the human a shove. Rather annoyed at the whole thing, but at least he’d finally gotten rid of the pissant. ”I just want him out of my hair anyway. Nothing but a good for nothing punk.”
Almost immediately, Tiny was hiding behind Norrix. Honestly, still a little afraid the ape was going to lash out again. Even if he had just agreed to sell him to the General. The gorilla snorted. ”Cowardly thing. Hide behind your master. Your fault I’m in this mess.” the gorilla grunted. ”And I’d better be actually getting paid.”

Maximus shook his head. "Only you are responsible for your own actions. No one else." Maximus spoke as he hadn't really left the area as he wanted to make sure that everything went smoothly. "Your actions speak louder than words." They didn't need Zephram to intervene, but he had a feeling that Aaron and Rowan would include him.
"If I were you, I would tread lightly." He warned. "Because if I or any of the council ever see or hear you've been treating human puppies this way, you will be going to prison- for a very long time to come."

Norrix didn't have to react in a flinch when the greedy ape shoved Tiny over. Already predicting his motions, Norrix extended a palm out, welcoming the child. His broad arm easily prevented him from tumbling over. He curled his arm back, gently drawing him inward, having Tiny close.
Gah, what a degrading name to a tall child. Bah, Norrix was going to give that child a new identity, maybe even a new role. It was his first time to actually take on another child, this time quite different.
"Go and fight it, handler, but clearly you're a complete imbecile," he snorts, lowering his arm from the child. "Trying to fight that you're innocent or not charged, a council member just witnessed," his head shakes. "Glad I don't have my comrades below me as retarded as you," he continues to degrade.
He exposes his wallet from his pocket, retrieving the correct amount, and throws it at him. "You're lucky I had that much because the only fool would," he rolls his eyes. "Such as me at the moment."

Tiny took a deep breath as he was held close to the ape.
Unlike other humans he didn’t try to run, after all he pretty much had long ago adjusted to being a pet. Instead he let his body relax knowing he was finally away from the abuses he’d been facing or seemingly so as his handler snatched the money, counting it out quietly.
”Perfect, really, a pleasure doing business with you,” he nearly spat out “pleasure”. ”Don’t worry - If you decide he’s too big a pain in the ass. I’m sure his old master will take him back when he gets back on his feet.” Tiny was a little shakier at the thought of that. ”Now if you’ll excuse me I believe someone is looking at a female of mine.”
Tiny didn’t relax until the ape had finally left. Honestly he nearly collapsed then but kept himself steady. “I don’t know if I can thank you enough for getting me away from him, General,” he managed. Then with a slight nod. “I’ll do my best to make a good pet to you.”
He then turned to the two orangutans with an equal bow for each. “Councilmen,” he looked at Aaron. “Uhhh sir.” He wasn’t sure how to even address a free human

Maximus gave him a rare smile, but turned his gaze to the gorilla. "A word of warning. If I ever see you be harsh to any human pup, mark my words, you'll be dragged to the tribunal for trial and it will be the most unpleasant trial you will have ever been in." He was short tempered. He glanced over to Tiny. "You should be well to do with the General. And your previous owner...is going to be summoned to the tribunal for a trial." Aaron was a little surprised and continued to stand near Zaius. He hoped that the council members aren't going to be disappointed for standing up for human puppies. " zaius? Did I do well?" He asked, hopefully. |

Maximus looked to Aaron, noticing he's after their approval. "You did well." He was always asking whether he was doing well at times. "Looking for approval."
