After answering and finally obeying like a good dog. He moves to the side, allowing him back through. He chuckles, watching him. "There's your lesson. It's better to prove then fight. Fighting doesn't get you anywhere," he mentions. He observes him walking past. "Aaron," he grips his shoulder. "Don't fight or argue on something you're sure on, or have proof," he mentions. He turns around, letting go then hikes up the stairs. "Never lie, it only causes worse things for you."

Aaron noticed that he slid aside to let him pass. He rushed out of that room - and fled. "I proven you're wrong about Renegades." He stood on top of the stairs. He was still arguing, or have just stated something matter of fact. "Since he's not a renegade, I'd let him go be a pet."
Aaron was considering whether or not to stay or go to Maximus'. Then he was told never to lie or else it would bring worse things about to him. He was being treated like a dog. "Everyone lies." He said. "Any one who doesn't lie has a problem."

A pet? Zaius snorts. He easily caught up to him. Grappling his shirt, then hauled him upstairs as he hiked it on his own. He drops him on the top step. "You're foolish Aaron. what the point of educating you if all you do is argue and fight." His hand waves. "Pah, why did I even accept. I expected cooperation. No I get a qualified human to act like a little ape," he snorts. "Lying to a council member could cause deep trouble for you. Not like prison, but us not accepting to teach you a thing."

Aaron was quiet as he listened to Zaius call him foolish and why he should educate him if all he ever did was argue and fight. He didn't feel he was fighting.
Maybe I should go home and rethink my apprenticeship more. He thought to himself as he was proven again, wrong. It wasn't his fault when he was still thinking immature thoughts of trying to prove he was right and Zaius was wrong. Well, of course he believed differently. He didn't remark on any thing else. It would just get him into trouble! More trouble than it was worth. If only he could get past him to reach his suitcases. He wasn't sure whether or not he should have taken the apprenticeship whatsoever. Maybe he should have - picked the jungle instead.
"What if I lied before? Then he'd kick me out of his house and not likely to accept me as his apprentice anyway?" He was a young adult and wasn't sure how to act like an adult. "Oh come on, do you expect an ape-raised human to act like a mature adult that's been out in the world more than he has? Plus, I was taught to question everything and prove points. What more does he want from me?" Aaron continued to think, not really disclosing his thoughts. He began to believe that Zaius wasn't going to apprentice him or teach him any further.

Zaius shifts around as Aaron was oddly muted. Normally that human was rambling on, but, suddenly quiet? What was this human pondering about? He observes a few different expressions. Zauis places his two large fingers on his chin. His head lightly tilts, narrowing his eyes. He scratches his head, lightly circulating around him. Was Aaron possibly pondering over his choices or actually taking Zaius's quiet lecture seriously. He walks over, patting his head. "Ah, Aaron, it's fine to argue a point, just ensure you have things to back you up. You, however, did not." he pats his shoulder. He walks over to the kitchen, deciding to deal with Scooter later. "Aaron, are you hungry?"

Aaron was still quietly contemplating things, including this new tidbit. So he could argue if only he had proof? "But-" He didn't like torturing innocent human pets. "Why torture your enemies for information they don't have?" He finally asked. Would that be one of those other 'arguments'? He just wanted to know more information...
Was he hungry? Well, he could take a chance and run. But many ape-raised children never really ran away from disagreements or lessons. Then he'd be a coward and known that he was. He was far from a coward. "Yes." He followed him to the kitchen, creating a mental map of everything in case he needed to come back here for something else. "I'm starving." Should he cook his own meal? Or should he let Zaius? Zeke let him in the kitchen on his own to cook his own meals. Would he?

Zaius drops his head. Well, at least he wasn't arguing this time, but a smooth question. He cracked a very light smile, if you call it that. "Because, some Renegades confirm an oath. Most don't talk until near death. Very few succeed in their oath. Majority of the info they give out is either small, lying or useless." He continues into the kitchen. He didn't mind answering questions, just constant argument. He shakes his head. "Want to fix it or have one of my servants?" He turns, looking down. "You do know how, right?"

"So all Renegades have this oath." Aaron confirmed. "Does Kratos, you, and Maximus have one before you're sworn in?" At least he was asking questions instead of arguing. He had never heard of any of them taking oaths, but he was shielded in school. He didn't know about everything.
"Oh I can cook my own meals, but I don't know where everything is in the kitchen." He admitted. "What happens to the - human downstairs if he lives?" He was now curious because he had heard that some were put to sleep and were disposed of in a crude way. Rumors circulated like wildfire. "Is it true? That you cut off the heads of humans and stake them up on a ridge from the city?"

Zaius looks down at him, placing a paw on the counter. "Mm, that's none of your concern. But, otherwise, im sure you can figure that out." he gently winked, returning to making lunch. Zaius was ignoring until that false brutal rumour came into play. He chokes as he adds items to the counter. "What?! That's insane. if we did wouldn't there be a display?" he coughed. "Who told that lie?"

Aaron shrugged his shoulders as he was curious. It wasn't true then. "Then it's all a rumor that the high council takes oaths. The vets do it before they into practice. I thought it was the same." He shifted around and watched him fix lunch. Well, he could do it himself.
"Well, I guess I heard it through the others. It's what you all do to humans when they trespass or are criminals. You have someone stuff them." He added.

Zaius chuckles, making his own lunch. He hadn't even began on Aaron's, he planned to have the ape-raised human do it. He wanted to anyway. His head shook. "Part of oaths is not revealing you do them." He winks, sliding over. "No, that's insanely useless to do." He quietly states. "Here, make something."

"So that means you don't uphold them then?" Aaron didn't have any oaths to take nor did he remember them. "I was wondering. Do ape-raised humans say oaths? I don't remember ever saying any." His memory was good.
He glanced down at the sandwich materials and began to make his own sandwich. He really was starting to open up to Zaius a little more. He was hopeful this ape would actually be a good ape to apprentice under. Though his views were different. He slathered a little mayo on the bread and placed a tomato on the meat. Then lettuce and smiled when he completed his own lunch.

Zaius decides to ignore the topic on him if he has and follows oaths. OF course, he does! But clearly, the human didn't read the signs or listen carefully. Oh well. Better to evade the question anyway. He shrugs, unsure on that part. "I guess it depends, really. You ape-raised humans could do as much as an ape, so, I'd assume so" he returns to creating his own. as he formed his lunch, he smiles, watching Aaron make his. "Prefer any dressings?"

Aaron noted that he was evading the question on oaths. He shrugged it off. Maybe he could form his own oath one day. That was such a childish thought, but he didn't care. Dressings? "Like Mayo? Mustard? Dijon mustard?" He asked. "I have mayo on my sandwich."
Then he began to think. "I was wondering. What if ape-raised humans become part of the Council?" He wondered if that were ever a possibility. "It's a slim chance to actually become a council-member. Do you think Kratos would approve?" He was curious and waited for him to take a seat. "I'd like to attend one of the meetings."
