It didn't take long before Ostara felt the fabric sink down, under the table. Also, Penny had gotten completely silent, not even a thank you? Well, something was surely up. When she placed the spoon in, she noted the leash gnawed. As she was already curious on why it sunk
She grimaces, at the rodent below. She knew the culprit. Instead of punishing her as she could have possibly known, she decides to threaten to encase if she did or had the scheme to go off. "You bolt off without my say that bunny will be gone after catching you."
Pearl didn't even bother the two as she cheerfully enjoyed her own soup. She didn't want to interfere either. Ostara's business.

Penny was really beginning to dislike this ape with all her threats. In fact, she was holding the bunny closer to her chest. As the bunny had meant a lot to her. The room no longer looked warm and inviting. She didn't touch her soup, even if the spoon was put into her soup. She hadn't done anything really. Just sitting there, planning to bolt. She wouldn't really do it anyway.
She glanced over to her friend, but she was ignoring her. She felt - intimidation instead. Since she was actually leashless at the moment, without thinking, she did indeed bolt, but not to the door. Under a table instead. She was just out of reach and she rolled the remainder of the leash under her so she couldn't be yanked out. She didn't feel hungry anymore.

OStatara watches her close and rolls her eyes. "Mutts." She didn't care. Even if Penny did even attempt, she would easily be halted by the nearby guards. There were patrols around for the safety of other apes who don't 'like' Ostara and her crew. WOuldn't be the first it occurred.
"Penny, quit acting so childish. You're not a pup, you're an adult, act like it. I don't put up with disobedience." She firmly reminds, taking a few spoonfuls to herself. She grins coldly. "If you don't eat, I'll be glad to spoon feed you. If you don't, then come out your cowardly hole, stop taking things to heart, and eat." She calmly orders again.

Penny used reverse psychology. "Then stop threatening to take my bunny away from me." She answered from her hiding place. It was because she felt intimidated by two orangutans. She slowly crawled out, holding the bunny a little closer to her chest. She was practically it's foster parent. It was just starting to wean. So, that mean she was responsible. "Stop trying to be cruel to me." She sat down at her soup. "Just because I'm shy doesn't mean you can take advantage of me."
She looked over to her friend. So, far, she wasn't mean. "Thanks."

Ostara rolls her eyes with a soft scoff. "Clearly you don't listen or select what you like. Penny, I assure you if I did mean my threats that little rodent would be gone." She would wait for Penny to finally emerge as directed to.
Once she sat down, she gripped her chin, forcing it up in gentleness. "I'm not taking any advantage of you.." she snarls, softly releasing her face. "You're bringing on this to yourself." She adds. "Cruel? Pah. No, no, I was just assuring you understood well. If you disobeyed, I would of."
She looks back at Pearl. She didn't bother to confront her as she was keeping to herself.

Penny was aware of all that she had said. But then again, her mind picked up only threats if she bolted. She also knew she couldn't go anywhere. "I'm not that stupid! Where would I go? It's not like I can get anywhere fast." She retorted. "Bolting and you're like 8 feet tall. All you would have to do is take a step to stop me." She revealed her intelligence and her observation. "I saw the ones with some weird looking objects in their grasps."
She was settling into her seat when her chin was grasped. "Sure. What ever you may say. Most apes are cruel." Penny replied. "Almost many of them are." She didn't get a response from her friend so that meant she didn't really care for a thank you from a stupid human.
She shifted her bunny to her lap again.

Ostara snickers out of amusement. "Don't give me that, Penny. You humans are known to be crafty, bright, sly creatures. I train you forsakes. I'm very concious on what your kind is capable of, just some don't know it." She quietly informs, not once looking over to the side at her.
Her head shook. "No, I wouldn't wast my energy to go after you. I have other employees to easily do that." She retorts back. "Besides if you fail to listen or even quit trying to bolt off, in which if you do, I will not hesitate to toss you back to the cages." She rose a finger. "though, you haven't as of yet. I'm not going to waste my time to train a human that just might end up back where I bought them."
She didn't want to argue any further. It was like confronting a rich child. "That's how I feel about you mutts on certain levels."

"Which shows humans are smarter than apes." She said simply. "Since we're crafty, bright, and sly creatures. We do have our own ways of entertainment." She finally said as she shifted around. She was surprised that she wouldn't be wasting her energy on pursuing her.
Then she continued on with not listening and attempting to stop bolting, she would be thrown back into the cages. "Right." Penny mumbled under her breath. She didn't really believe that she would really toss her back into the cages. Just let her try. She would probably lose her bunny as apes were cruel anyway?
Then she narrowed her eyes. "I am clearly not a mutt. I'm a strong willed human."

She delicately grasps the arguing human by the chin, then elevated to meet eye level. "I hate to disappoint your failure of a theory, but which species are dominating right now, and is constantly improving technology." She scoffs, releasing her chin.
She pats her head, smiling sweetly down at her. "Don't argue a point you can't clearly win." She overlays her arm with the other. "Now, since that's settled. I need to discuss things with you. Fail to listen or answer, I'll just assume and go from there."
"I don't care." She was annoyed at this point. "Penelope, you say you have no talent, but caring for a bunny. Now, are you flexible? Great at balancing? I know there's something you're graceful at."
She taps her nails on the table, near her bowl. "Perhaps we can mingled your skill with your bunny." She pondered

Penelope had a different view. "My Mama used to tell me that the bigger you are, the harder you fall." She didn't seem to be affected by her response. "Technology isn't everything." She remarked. "It just leads to your own downfalls later on. When apes become totally dependent on technology, they'll forget the simple things." Penelope did have some form of knowledge brought on by her parent.
Penelope blinked in surprise as she didn't care about being a strong-willed human and she could tell she was annoyed at her.
She was a natural born klutz! She never was graceful or great at balance. Now, musically, yes. Balancing on a balance beam? Gymnastics? Hardly ever. She'd no sooner fall flat on her face. She decided to say, "Yeah. I'm great in debate class." She wasn't about to admit that she was a weak individual. There was no harm in being a little sarcastic-well, maybe it was over the top. "And nothing much but debate and taking care of this bunny."

Ostara decides to taunt her mother's saying. How fun this will be. She snickers, intentionally twisting Penelope's words. "Well, I'd assume the bigger you are, the easier you'd fall. I mean so much your body can handle your weight." She snickers. Two can play this game.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." She completely ignored it. "You humans are only taught, other than that mindless." She shrugs. "I don't care and could careless on your thoughts."
Ostara huffs in disbelief. "No, all you humans have a hidden talent that needs to surface somehow. Shall we test it out? I'll let you finish your lunch." She inquires, focusing back on Pearl. "Unless you refuse to admit?"

Penny knew that she twisted her words. Especially her parent. Whom, she wouldn't replace. No matter what. "Oh yeah? Least I know how to pick myself up when I fall." She retorted back. "Least I don't have to have technology to have fun and games. I make my own games." She smirked as she had made up plenty of games as a child. But she isn't one of those dense dumb humans.
Penny knew that the ape didn't care about her thoughts or feelings. She could tell and by being sarcastic, she was shielding her true feelings. She'd never tell any ape about missing her own kind. And clinging to the only the littlest bunny in her hands was the only one that really mattered. Penny wanted to go back to her village. She was not really interested in being used for her skills to make a quick buck.
Penny silently ate, not about to test her non-existent skills. Whatever this ape wanted her to do...she couldn't or wouldn't do it. She wouldn't admit something she didn't have. "I'd rather go back to my village."

At this point, Ostara avoided, and blocked out the ranting 'dog'. She places her elbow on the side where Penelope was seated. her large arm easily blocking the site of Penelope. Her eyes rolled, mouthing to Pearl. "More pup-ish then a few years old pups." She took a few scoops waiting for Penelope's useless rant to diminish.
Finally, she finally went quiet. What a blessing. A few more scoops of warm soup entered. Once swallowed, she elevates from the seat. She lent the leash over to Pearl, who easily taken it. Ostara peers down, exposing a gentle glare. "When you're done eating, I expect you to enter there." She shot a finger to the left, to a long tunnel. "I will meet you there."
She grasps her own warm wooden bowl, gliding her calmer pupils on Pearl. "You can remove the leash to see if she succeeds." She walks off, expecting Penelope to contain some sense and listen. She figured her solid threats of Penelope's foolishness to follow and listen.

Penny focused more on eating, noticing that the apes were not paying any attention to her. It seemed they didn't care whether she was skilled or not. The only thing she knew was? Her remarks went ignored and no one really paid attention to her words. She wasn't that skilled in whatever that Ostara and Pearl wanted her for. She didn't need her 'talents' unless you accounted for her piano. But she only knew the songs of her village. The chords were probably a whole different than what she knew. She still didn't talk about that because why would anyone use the piano skills. It wasn't something. Her music was based on what she heard. She didn't read music so therefore, she can't read notes.
More words were said about entering through a long tunnel. The long tunnel? By herself? Not gonna happen. She clearly did not like unknown parts...especially a long tunnel that led to some 'supposed' scary place. She, was not going to really go down that long tunnel. There were rules that she followed. Her village had them. No one entered a cavern or a long tunnel. Not without having a few hunters who protected them.
She found herself building a sense of unease and she primarily ignored Ostara's friend. If anything, her body language was probably ignored. The last remaining soup turned cold as she had stopped eating...because she was thinking of the probable danger. But she would continue to sit there, taking care of the bunny's needs instead.
