That wasn't a lie Venus was in bad shape, from the strong fiddling with her mind, and trying to discover and match the true memories. Her mind ached, but for an odd reason, she kept going. Contaminated? They were contaminated? She shook her head. Then an angry voice hollered. Oh no, time to leave. She winces, then hears noises. She barely slips between Cobra and opens the door. "Maxwell?" She was aware of others being alerted.

Maxwell's headache eased to a dull ache, through a 'daze' or 'haze', he heard Venus' voice. It sounded far to him. But when he turned to look, he saw her and he knew she wasn't just a figment of his imagination. He rubbed his head and slowly, it began to clear, piecing his own memories. The new ones were too fragmented. He hadn't been raised in a human village and brought here to be their number one lab experiment. He made a face at that awful thought. "Gee whiz! I don't remember being a lab experiment when I was a child." His memories were being brought up in an Overlord-run village that had humans. Maybe since he had been a young boy, he had been ape-raised all his life and not 'a lab-rat'. He shook his head.
He walked over to Venus and remembered her as well. She was there helping him out and they worked together as a team. He gave a little smile. "There has to be a way out of this nightmarish lab." He said. He had never been in a 'lab-setting' before and it was weighing in on him. If they didn't get out while they could, they'd be seriously harmed and whatnot. Cobra was just outside the door. He knew that much. So would Valhalla. Little would stop them both. But they were both humans. Angered apes were not a good combination either. He glanced at Venus. "You ready?"

In another room across from them, Maxwell's head did ache. It was like a dull ache with fragmented horrible memories from the lab and other memories from his past kept colliding with the ones implanted. He was sitting up slowly, rubbing his head. The helmet had already been 'ripped' from his head. Small spots of blood formed around his forehead. He had ripped the helmet because it was too painful to bear and frustrated tears fell from his eyes. There was so much he hadn't wanted to know about the cruelty of the Overlord scientists. He had never thought he would be in a lab setting and he was no murderer!
He wiped his eyes on his arm and sighed. "This sucks." He said, hoarsely. He could hear a commotion and he began to ease himself off the metal table. It wasn't fair.

Venus looks over as Maxwell was approaching to her. Swiftly she glanced at Cobra who attempted to snag her. Ha, no, no. She shook her head, walking over to Maxwell, avoiding the two. "We need to go...but it's on lockdown." She frowns, looking around. She randomly bolts down the hallway, hoping the pathway would be clear. She too, has blood coming out the holes in her head. She swayed as she ran to the point she crashes into a wall. She winced, grabbing the temple of her head. Gah! Why so painful?

Cobra hears his buddy angrily screaming out about humans. What about humans? The only ones that have been trouble here had been that couple. Was it worth keeping the two? Yes! Of course. Easy meeting pair without forcing two random ones together. Humans seem to pick their own, they're not like other animals.
Lucky for the two, Cobra had not noticed if Maxwell did slip out or not. his concern was with Venus and Val. Of course, he failed to catch her as she slipped by. Of course. He shoved the door open where Valhalla was. He examined him from the small distance. "Alright?" he asks. ---
Two nearby scientists that had been notified on that same level scurried after them. One held a 'noose', the other with a dart gun. The one with the gun was unsure if he should fire. Some serums could cause 'issues'.
"Freeze!" The one with the loop slowly approaches. "You won't be harmed if you comply."

Valhalla rubbed his head and says, "I'll live. That brat Venus got me good with one of my own sedation." He was using a device to rid the sedation from his system. It wasn't easy to admit that he had not let down his guard. "I should have been more alert and aware."
-0-
Maxwell sneaked out of the room, silently and wasn't sure where Venus was until he heard two say something about not being harmed if they complied. He was confused as he tread forward, rubbing his head. His hand came back red. That meant he was injured but he was eager to escape, despite not being very aware of 'all his surroundings'. He nearly tripped over his own two legs.

Cobra examines where the blood was being escaped from. He winced. Clearly, Val was harshly injected. "I can see that," he states, gripping Val and kindly aiding him to his feet. "We learn what fails or occurs."
"We'll get those two and.." he crushes his first after taking a step back. "Maxwell is going to have an interesting punishment," he growled, exiting out.
The first thing that drew Cobra's attentive eyes, was the dotted fresh blood below. His eyes traced it up to where Maxwell wobbled, and beyond. He darkly grins. "Were these to dumb? Or not alert? Unknowingly blood trails emerged from them.
He sighs, observing the wobbling human. "Maxwell! Get back here, or you'll not like the results. I assure you, you listen and return, it won't be as 'harsh'." His eyes wandered down the hall, looking for Venus. But hollers were reverberating down that path too.

"Never underestimate a human." He was grateful for assistance in standing. The room spun a little. But that was because he may have hit his head. He gingerly rubbed his forehead, wincing when he felt a bump. "Yes we do." He believed that Maxwell will need and deserve a lesson.
Valhalla slowly followed him and noted that there were droplets of blood. "They ripped the halo's out of their heads."
Maxwell didn't know any better other than the fact that his memories were to fragmented to discern from reality and fictional. He felt so lost and confused when he heard a voice yelling from afar...it sounded so 'familiar'? Who? My guardian? Wasn't his name Cobra? He would have a confused look on his face. Wait? Harsh? Why would his guardian be so harsh. Instead, he tried to walk without acting like a drunkard. But it was difficult. He needed to go out into fresh air? He needed more paint? "Need more paint..I have to go get some more, guardian." His voice came out a little slurred. "I have to go to school too. Esmeralda said we get to watch a movie today." It was between what he knew and what he knew as a child.
"I have to get to school or I'll be late." Maxwell said. He was living in his past memories and viewing the lab's halls as the village. He'd board a bus. "I have to go to the bus stop."

Cobra darkly smiles, nodding his head. He was very aware of how humans could react and do. "Yes, and that's why I bind them all I can. Though, I do forget some limbs," he honestly tells, rubbing the side of his head with a tense frown. "Though, these two shouldn't be that hard. I mean this place is a maze."
Cobra rose his arm up, noting Valhalla was already up. He didn't worry. That ape was pretty strong.
Cobra about fired a dart gun encases Maxwell held a deadly weapon. Then, the human began to behave as if he was lost or 'stoned'. Cobra wasn't quite sure, though, his human was humorous. Perhaps he could 'help' with this confusion to the human. Next, he became intrigued. Was Venus this puzzled now.
Paint? What. What is it with this? He smiles, walking over, though was attentive.
He gently grasps Maxwell by the arm, playing as his guardian. "Ah, yes Maxwell, I can help you there," he coldly lies. He glances at Valhalla. "You can go get your human...I'm going to 'deal' with Maxwell," he viciously grins, giding him down the hallway. "Come, let's help you." He hadn't planned to stop this.

Venus had no clue she was with the false Maxwell. Through her attentive ears received hollers and demands. Was there another Mawell being worked on? She brushed it off, concentrating on the two. "Alright, Maxwell," she gently says to the 'other' Maxwell. "I have a scheme that might work." With haste, she flies over to the scientist with the noose and manages it as a protection. Hoping the other one would fire a dart at the other.

Valhalla said, "I thought I had her bound real good, but she was able to reach the release buttons." He tested his footing and made sure he was steady and ready to put his human into a 'blissful' sleep. Not dead, just asleep.
Maxwell was aware of a noise and moved quickly to the side, into a wall. He looked confused and worried now. "Oh no! I'm just passing through." He cried out. "I won't trespass through your yard again." Well, that sounded stupid because he didn't know anything except he believed that he was in his village. "If you'll let me go, I'll paint you a wonderful painting with trees, a graceful cottage, and a pretty flower garden."
He became aware of a gentle hand, but heard a cold voice. "Don't turn me into the Central City PD. They tell my guardian. I just need some white titanium, true blue, ocean green." He listed some of his paint colors. "Wait! No! You don't have to 'deal' with me."
Valhalla was looking in amusement and walked to go find his human.

False Maxwell walked alongside her and then in the likeness of him, he knocked out the scientist with his own tranq. gun. It was like he had 'retained' his memory of how to make the overlord scientists fall asleep. He glanced at Venus and nodded. "What's your plan?"

Cobra rolls his head around, revealing a little annoyance. He couldn't believe those were present on the old tables. "Ugh, whoever installed those ones, needs a new occupation." His face dropped into his palm, murmuring, "I'm appreciated for the new ones." He watches, "easy now" --
Regardless, Maxwell's strength would never overpower an ape. "Now, now, I'm your new 'guardian'," he lies, then implies, "don't fight me on this. You will not fight your fresh 'tutor'." Cobra was enjoying this immensely. Things are finally looking up?
He didn't care. A few experiments were still needed and Maxwell was sadly his own lab rat. So, for now, he will do. His head shakes, still hauling him down the hall as blood was falling. "Paints are this way." --
Venus's scheme was a success. The gorilla with the loop didn't expect her to cower behind. Swiftly he loops the pole around her neck, then yanked hard to tighten it. Yet, the gorilla was shot, then collapsed over Venus. She was only crushed by her legs as he slumped on her.
The other one that contained an actual weapon for protection, fired before Maxwell had.

Valhalla shook his head. "Yes. Maybe a remote controlled lab restraint system should be invented next." He was trying to keep himself from staggering. He was being very easy on himself. He rubbed his neck. "Very potent tranquilizer, but it's only temporary."
Maxwell groaned. "I don't want to go this way. The store is back that away." He insisted. "I've been going there for a long time." New guardian? Tutor? "But I don't need a tutor. I made straight A's. I'm an artist." He finally admitted. "I learned from my guardian. He paints great pieces." He began to remember a little more about his past life. "I was always told to stay away from the lab areas because it was dangerous." His implanted new memories were crushed immediately as he began to speak of his past.

Venus too didn't expect action from the gorilla. She yelped after her neck had been ringed and pulled towards the beast. She heard the fire. Was it a success? Hopefully. Indeed it was. Cruelly she was smashed by the massive patrol. Another yelp came out. She winced at the pressure. She wasn't worried about the pole around her neck but trying to move the hefty ape. She noted the false Maxwell. "Help me!" Though, could a hologram use force? Plus, would two humans really move a gorilla?
