Rose had been assigned to be in the pits. Which was hilarious she believed she was going to be within the ring, actually fighting! Humorous and amusing. Silas was enjoying the dark provocation. It's been going on a week.
Two apes were drawing Rose by the wrist down the steps that descended low. Each flight down had gotten dark, and intimidatingly cold.
One grunted out of annoyance. "Enough!" he calls over to her, vexed by her constant whimpering and pleading. They were not aware of her not being informed about her new job.

Rose didn't know what the pits were or anything about them. She was whimpering and pleading all the way down, her legs, unable to keep up with their pace and being dragged down into a cold and dark place wasn't something she was looking forward to. She couldn't see anything and she was already cold, having been cold since arriving.
And she hardly ever thought of 'food' or 'water' since arriving. It had been only a week since she arrived here. In that week, she was made sick, slept hardly a wink of sleep, and could only think of the doom that awaited her.
It was too dark to see and her arms formed goosebumps from the prolonged exposure to cold. She didn't know anything about anything and didn't like whatever waited down here. Her pace was not as quick as the other two apes. It didn't take two and two to notice that she was not keeping up. Her legs gave out and she took several tumbles down the stairs, twisting her wrists. Pain flared through her wrists and it did not feel good to her backside. She knew that she would have a bruise all along her backside. Her wrists were too painful to move. And then she couldn't see and her breaths came in short bursts. Pain. She would always be in pain. For a moment, the dark hid her...and she burst into tears. Non-stop.
