Jennifer smelled antiseptic, noises, voices, and through the feverish state she was in. Her temperature was staying the same as before despite being put on a lab table and covered with something cold to bring her fever down. She wasn't sure where she was. The room was - different from the medical tent they had her in. She had her eyes open, looking around for a familiar face. Someone comforting. Someone who would tell her it would be all over.
The noises were coming from somewhere... and couldn't tell who was there. Jennifer was starting to feel frightened. This place was sophisticated and possibly state of the art. The renegades were helpful and didn't use hard cold tables unless examinations were taking place. Jennifer turned over on her side and looked at the floor. She slowly sat up, the cover falling from her. She laid her hand on a button and an alarm rang through the lab. Startled, she eased her hand off the alarm button. She moved away from the table's buttons, wondering why she pressed something like that to alert someone in the area.
She also didn't see anyone nearby.

Valhalla was taking notes on his computer when he heard an alarm coming from the child's bed. She was supposed to be asleep. "I think the child's awake, Hades." He said, gripping a couple of things in case she ran. He doubted she would have enough strength to even run away.
Then the alarm stopped as he moved to see the child moving around on the table. He also noticed she hadn't really moved off the table. "I think she'll be obedient."

Hades was enjoying a mediocre sandwich crafted in Italian long bread with different veggies and slices of varieties of meats. He hadn't eaten any sort of snack all morning, or last evening. He finally was enjoying some type of nutrition to ease his bothered stomach.
Though that ended after a short, loud alarm signaled that either Jennifer bothered the button accidentally or tried to flee out of fear. Which would be understandable. In regards to her weakened state, Val convinced Hades to not bound the sickened child.
After a few bites, in great annoyance settled the sandwich on the tray before releasing a dramatic, irritated sigh. He removed himself from the seat, journeying over where Jennifer was locked inside. He peers over at Valhalla. "I hope you are correct...or she is just weak."
He settles his naked palm on the scanner, releasing the door open. He applies his glove again, entering. Once in, he examines Jennifer, then saunters closer. Checking the vitals before tending to shinning a common light into her eyes. "Your fever has gone down."

Jennifer settled on her side, looking around. Sure, she had been moving around. But it had weakened her. She also noticed that the room she was in was strange. Then she saw an ape. Although she was lying on her side, she just looked at him. "I'm thirsty. Can I have something to drink please?" She was extremely thirsty.
She didn't know why she was in a clear containment area. She was also cooler and didn't feel sleepy anymore. "I want my Mom and Dad."

"I hope it's not her weakness playing in the part of obedience. What makes me wonder is her lack of fear. She has no fear of you or me." He was quick to notice that. "And most humans are petrified of us." He pulled on gloves and walked over to the opposite of the table. He would have instantly switched her position from her side to her back. It made it easier to examine her.
"But on second thought, maybe we should try some blood work to see if her blood has anything in it. Alucard can run some tests on her blood. Then bring the results in." There was no way that they could do the tank that Hades used for his own experiments. It would practically scare her even more. "I would rather not subject her to something even more traumatizing." He said as he listened to ask for water next. They all had their specific way of obtaining samples. The child showing interest in water was a good thing. "I'll go get her water." Valhalla said. "We can't risk dehydration."
