Bartu was stationed at the main hunting base within the dense jungle. He had conversed with the group that was present to join him a good raid among the lively jungle. He figured the more that had joined him it would bring not just numbers but an easier way to corner and retrieve the free humans. He grasped the reins to his large black steed strolling over towards the band that had agreed to go. A few of the members that had agreed to the hunt had brought a few others that were friends. Bartu placed himself on a dead log waiting for the members to come to join him around the small blaze within the rock pit.

Rowan had been on very little hunts and getting more free humans sounded fun. His friends' sister, Olivia had wanted to join even though she was human, but she was in her teens, reaching the age of 16. He started to look for Galen. He was always looking for a human to bring home, but hasn't found any he yet.
He was standing there, wondering what free human he would get. Would it be like the one in the cages? Now she was something else! He hadn't had anyone purchase her yet. He looked over at Bartu, knowing his reputation at breaking in humans. Maybe he should talk to him about her. But then again, he was known to stuff them.
He usually didn't have to worry about being overpowered, but he always carried his weapon. His father couldn't make it.

Galen arrived, looking for his friend, Rowan. He spotted Bartu on his horse. He smiled warmly at his friend. He couldn't wait to find his first free human. He was armed with his own gun. "Oh hey, Rowan. I thought your father was going to join us."
They were waiting for another part of their party. "I hope I catch more free humans."

Silas Vestein, a common gladiator trainer had been invited to a band of hunters when he was within the encampment, aiding a fellow soldier with his human. The human Silas was assigned to aid, was feisty, reluctant, that avoided the desires of the solider. For a few days, Silas firstly gained trust with the human before attempting to delve into his role in shaping the creature to the way he wants. A common tactic, he frequently uses with other apes' humans. Honestly, Silas wasn't expecting to go hunting during his way over to the camp, or the way back.
It was a week after he achieved trust from the human, he's been educating before, he was invited to the group hunt by Bartu. At first, the orangutan was leery in accompanying the harsh hunter in his small hunting band. As casually, Silas had been warily towards apes in certain occupations, as a few had crossed lines with him before, causing a slight loathe towards them. However, after noting a few apes he has known, attend to the activity, he gave the invite another day before fully coming to conclusions.
Silas, after confirming with himself for attending the event, walked over to the few apes he had known by a few brief encounters. There, the gorillas convinced him to surely go, as their certain topics were very intriguing and worth to go for. Silas only had humans back at the ring, if he was assigned. Not once, has he gotten one for himself. So, this hunt might be a smooth idea to achieve one. He already knows how to wrangle with ferocious, to feisty animals. -------
Silas walked over to the small gathering, where the familiar hunter, Bartu, was waiting. He surveyed around the small fire, briefly noting the others who had willingly joined. Not one was an orangutan like him. Arriving at a vacant log, he quietly seated on the edge, closer toward Bartu's end. Another round of glances, Silas did, spotting a chimp. Wait? When did chimps ever hunt? He turned his head, peering at Bartu, eager to speak, but was uncertain on what to say.

The cold, cruel scientist, known as Cobra had already been seated, even before Bartu. Cobra wasn't really invited, just slithered his way in the group. Perhaps, others would believe that another ape in the group had invited him. In fact, what was Cobra doing out here in the encampment, away from his domain in the labs? That is one thing he would not disclose to anyone.
He smirked, placing another cigar between his lips. He easily lite the toxic stick, glancing over at Bartu, one he sat down. A creepily grin crept across his face, removing the cigar to puff out the poisonous fume towards the hunter. "About time you showed." He snorted, returning the cigar between his lips.
As more arrived, Cobra looked at each, curious to see what this hunting band had to offer. He nearly choked on the cigar after noting a orangutan that had joined. Then, he focused on a small gorilla, Galen. "Are you nervous, boy?" He asked.

Galen was surprised to see a chimpanzee among the hunting party. Was he nervous? Maybe. But what would the old chimp say to him if he was nervous? He also didn't want any of his toxic cloud plume head his way. He could smell that cloud and it didn't smell good. He was a young gorilla and had yet to earn Bartu's good graces or praise.
Did he want to prove himself or others? Maybe. Nervous? Weren't all gorillas a little nervous about their first hunts? "Is it normal to be?" He asked of Cobra. He was older than he so that meant he was a little more wiser. "Did you ever hunt?"

Bartu glared at the smoking chimp not pleased for shoving nasty fumes towards him. He lifted a part of his lip then huffed. About time? This little chimp is brave. His eyes narrowed increasing his glare. "Don't you say that." He huffed once more. He leaned closer towards the wicked chimp Cobra. "I arrive when I do. I'm the one who conducted the group not you." He firmly stated. Bartu couldn't overhear the small discussion between Galen and Cobra. He looked over at Galen. "Is this your first time? I can tell your nervous body exposes your anxiousness." He smirked. "It's normal." He stated noting the quiet orangutan sitting close. "It's interesting to have a orangutan to join. As they're into politics and being mightier then other apes." He snorted.

Silas hadn't pop in a word since he had sat on the log, one way from the group leader, Bartu. He honestly wasn't sure what to say, as the tension between a few members of the band, became a little hostile. Mostly, he avoided hostile apes, humans, now he can easily handle. A few minutes, after a few more members joined, seemed like the last ones. But, it was only an assumption.
Silas adverted his eyes from the group leader, darting it around the small gathering, remaining silent on his lonely log. Perhaps it was better to listen, then to actually converse with the band. Observing in for the first minor minutes, hostility emerged between the chimp and the leader. Now, it was a gentle tension, but it could escalate anytime.
Unintending to catch the rough voice of Bartu. Silas was about to converse with the ape, that appeared more docile than the rest. However, that was halted with the leader's question. He would try to string up a conversation with Galen, or perhaps Rowan, after.
Slowly, Silas's glance crept up at Bartu. He wasn't frightened, or anything. Just wanted to avoid any conflict, if possible. Wait? did he just throw an assault? Silas narrowed an eye at Bartu. "Don't make an assumption you do not understand." He stated, proudly.

Galen didn't have to say anything about his nervousness. It was in his body language and he wasn't sure if the hunting was a team effort or not. From where he was, he could tell that Bartu was in charge of this hunting expedition. He kept his mouth shut, knowing the gorillas' attitude. He hadn't witnessed his attitude much lately.
He waited.

Cobra mischievously smiled over at the ruthless gorilla, not even intimidated at all. He already noted the disturbance of Cobra's toxic fumes her purposely blew over at him. He released another cloud of fumes, towards another direction. Trying to be more 'kind' towards the leader.
He chuckled. "Being late to your own hunting group is pretty bad." He mentioned, not removing his dark smile. "I mean, you would expect the leader to be present first. Am I wrong?" He mentioned another thing, purposely provoked a little.
After, he heard Galen responded. His attention swiveled over to the young gorilla. "It varies." He bluntly said, being more gentler on Galen. He removed the cigar, to speak more clear. "Nope, this is my..." He looked up, pausing his speech. "Uh." He muttered. "Eh, I lost count." He shrugged, peering back down.

Rowan sat quietly, observing more than speaking. He was calm, collected, and even calculating on how to get his humans. He had dealt with many so perhaps his experience from working in the cages could help the group. He was relieved his friend was getting along with everyone.
Rowan wasn't going to start until the rules were told and then they were off.

Bartu grimaced in slight, irritated anger as the cruel chimp continued to talk towards him. Even though it had appeared to be provoking as Cobra's smile never left. However, the sadistic chimp was correct. It was a bad appearance to come to your conducted hunt. "So you're right? Doesn't matter now." He snorted. His focus hovered over at Galen. Huh no response from him. He smirked continuing to carry his intimidating glare. His sights landed on Silas. "Oh ho ho!" He amusingly called out. "Then perhaps explain to me what I don't understand?"

For a long few moments, Silas continued to observe the hunting party. It would seem the other apes were silent too, keeping to their own business. Some were jabbing at the small blaze by a random twig from the ground. He really wasn't the talker towards hunters or hulky soldiers. His voice only emerged at the ring, his passion. A place to create bets with wealthy apes. Hunting was more of a scarce hobby.
Gradually he observed the growing tension between the evil chimp and the angered gorilla. If those two went at it, Silas would definitely avoid it. Cobra seemed to jab at Bartu's tardiness, and Bartu intimidating the scientist. Yes, they both are causing their own tension.
After receiving a stunning call from the leader, he quietly rolled his eyes. Bartu really seemed to enjoy running his mouth, acting very bright. In which, in reality, he was making himself dumber. A small cackle came out, after Silas shook his head, not believing what Bartu wanted.
"I'm not going to respond to that. It will only result in constant arguing or pointless remarks." He mentioned, clearly aware of experiencing it before. His arms folded, leaning toward Bartu. "Why don't you just explain the rules, guidelines, I mean we came here to hunt, not argue." His voice grew.

Galen noted that there was some tension. "I've nothing to say about lateness. Everyone lives in different parts of Central City or was invited. Takes time to get to the hunting grounds or camp." He spoke fairly and hoped that was a truth and not a lie. "And some arrived from a different country." He added for reference. Bartu may be a natural born leader, but he certainly had a lot of experience like Cobra did.
"I've never went on a hunt."

Cobra was honestly getting tired, plus annoyed with Bartu. It just might be better to go hunting alone. He huffed to himself. He didn't need a band of apes to go hunting. No, he was quite experienced with it.However, he was bright enough to realize the outcome to a number of apes, hopefully working together.
Cobra focused his ears on Galen's bright statement. The young ape appeared more wise for his young age. A small smile emerged, rarely to be seen for Cobra's dark personality. He bobbed his head. "Right you are, boy."
Another voice pipped in, Silas. The one that has mostly been quiet like Rowan. Yes, Silas was correct too. Cobra waved his hand towards Bartu. "Yes, let's get going, before night seeps out."
