Galen could agree to that about night. It wouldn't be a good thing to hunt humans in the dark. "Not wise to be stuck out in the dark with the wild animals other than humans out there. Armed as we are, they have wilder instincts than we do. That's what my father used to say about lateness. It can't always be helped."

Yes yes Bartu had been prolonging what the apes entered the encampment for. It was unintentional but for him it was common. He listened between the apes that were correct mostly. Galen and Silas. He gave out a loud exhale and stood up as the apes wanted. "Alright alright you all are right." His hand motioned towards Cobra then Silas. "I'll get going. But I will not repeat twice. So keep your ears open. I honestly would like to work together. But if you spot the human first. We can either work together or you go after. Because I know some of you enjoy a solo hunt at times." His head and hands shook. "Absolutely no using knock out darts. As it's very low to use. I don't even." He pointed to himself. "Do not go after an apes' hunt. Or you'll be in a net." He snorted. "Unless they ask of you. Of course if two spots it. Well...you both go after." he stated. "Any questions?"

Galen saw no issues with that. Working together was better than working alone. Two heads were always better than one. He hadn't intended to kill any human. He also knew Rowan would probably team up with him. Unless they were going to- be teamed off by assignment. In the army that was normal. He was used to being teamed up. "So, who's going to be teamed up with who?"

Finally! The crazed ape had finally stood up, providing details of the hunt. If Cobra ever conducted a hunting group, similar to this. He would hush anyone that tried to provoke, then give the in-depth details on it. However, sadly, it was the ruthless hunter.
Questions? Now, what would Cobra ask? But he's already heard and mapped out an idea of what. He shrugged to himself at contemplating for a few minutes. Then, Galen's quiet voice piped up. He decided to listen to the results, for a moment. Then he would possibly throw a question at Bartu.

Bartu had his hands lifted high turning his head to random questions. His eyes intently surveyed through the crowd awaiting for any of the apes to call out a question. A few moments passed. He was about to call them to head out. However a young ape called out a question. Quickly Bartu's eyes contacted with Galen's. Paired up? He hadn't thought of that. Would it be random or allow them to choose. No. this was going to be fun. He smiled darkly at Galen. "Random of course. Could make new friends." He snickered. "However, Galen I'll allow you to choose between two. You want me or the orangutan?"

"I suggest that any and all inexperienced apes and gorillas go with experienced hunters. Those with more knowledge can teach others how to hunt and how to trap humans without any harm to the humans that are unarmed." Then he added. "So any armed human that poses a risk to the hunting party? What about them?"

Bartu listened then suddenly threw his head back cackling hard. "Bwahhaha!" His paw shot into the air. He almost collapsed backwards from the intent laughing. He eventually would ease down. "You." He giggled shaking his head. A finger wiped away a joyful tear. A few stutters came out. "Really...think they will not be harmed? It's hunting young ape not human training." He snickered a few more times. "As for your first suggestion. I agree." He sighed, calming his laughter completely. "Those humans? If they're too much might have to put them down. But we're going to try hard to apprehend them. As those feral ones are good to have."

Rowan shot him a little look. "Young hunters also need to learn how to set traps." He felt he was not getting anywhere with this soldier. "Traps as in nets, covering up holes so the animals we hunt can't leave the trap." Rowan couldn't believe his idea was being laughed at and it was discouraging to him. He knew traps worked in many ways. Hell, if they set up traps in certain places, they could also herd humans into them. "Since I'm a laughing stock-"
Since Rowan's idea went down the drain and he ended up as a possible laughing stock, it stung. It was probably the most dumbest idea he ever came up about setting traps up. "I can see how you gorillas thinks it's a dumb idea, anyway." It was just blown away. "Stupid really that herding many humans into a trap where they can't get out is a stupid dumb idea."

Bartu slightly yawned after the young ape flashed a certain expression. He wasn't too happy but shrugged it off. Young apes were known to be easily angered. His brow rose. "Yes you young apes need to learn underneath is experienced older ones." He clarified to the misunderstood ape. "Laughing stock?" His head tilt for a moment. "Rowan, I was only laughing at your hopes in having the humans unharmed. They still attack if they must even unarmed." He stated. He continued to listen to the ape that started to degrade his own idea. His head shook. "As I mentioned before. Your idea is good." He informed. "But in giving you the choice to pic."

"Well, I guess it's a good idea." He finally admitted, although he was slightly discouraged. It was just he had very little experience for hunting. He could take a lot from learning from experienced hunters. Young apes always had much to learn and his anger was always going to get the best of him.
He didn't know who to pick. Galen had to pick which hunter he wanted to go with.

He had to pick and if he had to choose, he'd probably pick Cobra...but his choices were already given to him. "Maybe I should go with the orangutan?" He didn't know his name, but thought going with the newest member of their hunting party would be better. He was so unsure. Should he go with Bartu because he was clearly smart. But then he was uncertain. "Or Rowan goes with the orangutan instead and I go with you...I was going to pick Cobra, but I felt he would rather pick on his own."
He didn't want to feel discouraged or get discouraged if he messed up or got angry enough to throw a temper. He deeply respected the soldiers. He was a recruit to the army and training was all he did and learning was all he looked forward to.

Silas was relieved when Bartu was finally convinced to explain the rules, and guidelines of the group. A small smirk emerged, as Bartu rose off his log. Silas's large arms slowly unfurled as Bartu gave out words on the hunt. These rules weren't even that strict, very simple to obey, and very hard to break. Silas was very delighted in the outcome of the regulations.
A question? Silas contemplated for a little time. What could he possibly throw at Bartu? Though, nothing surfaced in the mind of Silas. He shrugged his buffy shoulders, figuring to remain quiet, and not ask anything. Besides, Silas believes he's very aware of the easy rules, that there's no need for a question.
Silas roamed his hands onto his knees, as Rowan swiftly questioned Bartu about the event. His head slowly motioned towards the young ape, intriguingly listening to ape, that appeared more keened, then others in his age group. As casually, Silas listened instead of rambling out words.
Him? Since when was Silas a bargaining tool? A short huffed escaped his large nostrils. Instead of fighting on Bartu's decision, he continued his silence, curious where it flowed to. Another light argument, this time the young ape began it, but the leader of the band provoked it, not a rare thing it appears with this vicious gorilla.
Galen? Actually chosen Silas over Bartu? Can't say it wasn't a bright idea. Who would want to team up with the maniac? The massive ape threw his arm to the side, waving it to receive Bartu's and Galen's focus. Once their focus wasn't scrambling their choices, Silas stunningly voiced in.
"Excuse me!" His voice boomed over the others. "I don't mind being teamed up with Galen." He stated confidently, honestly not wanting Bartu to become the young apes' partner. Bad influences would occur to the young hunter. "I'm serious, I'll team up with him." He revealed his solid decision.

Galen was grateful to Silas. But the chances are Bartu would want another gorilla that's just as gullible as any other young ape. He didn't mind that arrangement either. He has never been teamed up with an orangutan before so he didn't know much about them.
He wanted to hunt humans. "What if we encounter young pups?" He inquired. "What about them?" The young pups were children and young adults. "Do we hurt them too?"

Cobra gave another silent puff of toxic fumes, listening to the conversation. He rested his hand with the cigar on the log, glancing over to Galen. A small, dark chuckle went out of his lips. "Very unlikely to encounter small apes, unless they have their parents with them. The jungle is a very lethal location. Parents would be vapid if they had their children out, alone." He stated, being aware of what was in the jungle.
His eyes bounced over to Silas, and Galen. While listening, he swiftly brought the deadly stick back to his lips. A deep inhale, then released it. "I prefer to go alone." He mentioned. "Sure it would work better, but if you're in my way of my catch. It won't be pretty."

Galen wouldn't ever get in the way of his catch and wasn't really planning on teaming up with him. He sure loved his cigars...Cobra did. "Are you going to smoke those out in the Jungle? A human or something awful would smell the fumes of your cigar." Galen was smart, but he didn't want to offend Cobra over his cigar. He was right. A smell could affect hunting.
He had no idea where and why an ape would smoke such an awful stick.
