The heartless ape eased the harsh shocks as he strolled over to the girl. He placed a boot onto her head. "You're a fool to believe you can escape any apes persuit."He snorted, lightly pressing his foot onto her. "Hmm... Maybe I should allow you to run. This is fun." He coldly cackled, removing his boot.

The residual shocks from the whip still had affected her despite being eased. She saw him and then felt his boot on her head. She wasn't foolish to run. She finally said, "You told me to run so I did. Don't you remember or are you too proud to remember?" She didn't care at this point.
"Oh go on ahead and do me a favor..End me. I have no chances in this jungle with the Ligers and mutated squealing pigs. And highly venomous vipers. Nor was it my fault I got lost and found the pond I recognized." So she was familiar with this area. More possibly than he. "You're the foolish one. Going after wild humans in a jungle that's even more dangerous than you apes."

Bartu cackled at Allie's assumption. "If you're going to view the jungle like that, then you are weak. You humans i view is thriving in there. But, you? Why do weak in being frightened in there? You've survived this long." He bent down close to her face. "I could end your life, I have no issues. But, for some odd reason, I like you." His whip in his hand patted the girl's head. "Now, tell me about this spring? Didn't think one existed."

Allie swallowed, "I'm not weak. I was frightened because I saw a huge bear and ran, thinking it was chasing me. When I finally realized it wasn't following me or chasing me. I stopped and didn't recognize anything. I started to walk and I guess I took the wrong way and ended up where you captured me." She said.
Then she wondered, if he was thirsty. Well, so was she. She had been thirsty. "My bucket should still be where I left it." She stood up, brushing herself off from the leaf litter and lead the way. "It's this way."

Bear? Bartu widened his eyes, blinking, slightly confused. "WHat bears in there?" He snorted. "There are no bears in there, if there are, they're hard to find. Your luck is more leopon, and ligers." He snorted, walking over to her. His paw grappled her shirt, roughly bringing her close. "Please direct me, because I'm sure humans enjoy lurking around there. Especially if they believe it's a safe place."

Her eyes widened when she was drawn up closer. "Look! I'm telling you the truth. It stunk, was big and black. What other animal is there that doesn't stink like fish and garbage? It growled as it moved. I can lead you to the spring. There's no other humans. I hope the bear is gone."
She brushed his paw. "Also, I can't quite lead you if you don't release my shirt. I really love this shirt. I sewed it myself."

Bartu chuckled releasing the human to the ground. His face inched close to hers. "That would be a stinky ape hunter. Occasionally a few apes would be disturbing in the aroma." He explained, stepping from him. "How could you never know what an ape is? Silly human where have you been?" He continued to laugh. He releases his grip. "Alright, go on, lead on. better not be a trap."

"Thank you. But it had a protruding snout and you ape hunters don't have those protruding snouts do you? Trap? At a spring? Hardly." She led the way to the spring. Her bucket, she ran to and picked it up, forgetting he was following her. She looked to the ground, seeing the bear prints.
They had even led to the spring. "See. Come look! I don't think this is an ape hunter." She showed him the footprints. Having never seen or heard of them, but she knew the difference in tracks. "I know what an ape track looks like. This isn't it."

Bartu snorted, not caring for the reveal of a bear not far off from the spring. He observed them from his standing point not even trusting the young girl with sly schemes. As wild humans were always unpredictable. His palm wavered at the girl. "So, you're correct and escaped the ravenous beast. What to it? You're still going to be mine, regardless of your state or discoveries." He mentioned, coldly. "You may fill your bucket."

"It could be in the area." She walked by him and rinsed out her bucket. She took off her shoes and waded into the spring. It sure felt good to her legs, where his whip had burned her, combined with a couple of rope burns. Not pleasant. "Come on in. It feels cool and nice." She was knee high now.
"Now now. Haven't you ever heard of catch and release?" She didn't yet fill her bucket. The spring wasn't just a water hole. It was also a pool for cooling down. "Why would you be so interested in a blonde haired young woman like me? I'm plain and boring."

Bartu watched her as if a bird was enjoying a bath, as he viewed her as a brainless animal. He folded his arms, squinting an eye. He was wondering what the human was up to. As humans are known to be crafty, and sly. And boy did Bartu meet a few of them. He shook his head. "I don't bathe in water in the jungle. Snakes could be swimming in such places." He informed. "Not to mention piranhas at some areas." he snorted. "If you had no use I would simply kill you and have you as one of my stuffed trophies." He whispered in a viscous small voice.

Allie gave a little chuckle. "Really? Snakes? Piranhas in the spring." She feigned shock and said, "Oh noooo...They're eating me alive." She jumps around, splashing water all over herself. Intent on being silly. "They're eatin' me alive." She added. "Muhahaha."
Allie was still in the water, feeling much better. "Don't you ever drink from a spring? Or bathe in water?"

Bartu flinched his eyelids rolling his eyes. "You're very dense you know that?" He shook hid head, strolling over to Allie. With swiftness he yanked out of the spring and lounge her onto his shoulder. "I'll show you since you believe it's in one spot, when I clearly said other parts of the jungle." He walked over to the upper spring where basically swamp water was presented. He grasped her and hover her over the water. "Tell me, what do you see other then water lilies?"

Allie gave a little cry, unsure what he was intending to do. Oh she saw lilypads but nothing beneath the murky water. "How should I know? I see a pretty white lilypad with a white flower." She was regretting it and didn't like hovering over the water that was murky.

Bartu snorted. "Look harder!" He viciously growled. "You're not that blunt!" He called out, descending her lower, an inch from touching the gross water.
If she actually gaze, she'd slot wavering movement. As she looked harder. They resembled water snakes.
