Meanwhile, Carol hid behind a large red oak tree, listening to the sounds of the forest. The sounds of the birds and insects revealed much about predators. She was silent, as if hunting a deer. But she was avoiding all capture. She cocked the crossbow to wait for her pursuer.
She was used to being out in the jungle for so long, she had learned much of being out in the middle of nowhere. There were even mutated boars and other animals that would make her into a meal. She even made them into a meal. She intended to keep from getting captured. Holding her breath, keeping an aim, and a sharp eye was what helped her stay calm.

Venus roughly awakened. Her eyes gazed downward with intense rippled, blurry vision. As her head gave a gentle shake to wake more up, a jolt of pain surged on the back of her neck. She winced intently, bowing her head low hoping the pain would soothe. "Ake..." She muttered, deeply slurring. Instead of speedily flinging her head back, she slowly elevated. She gritted as the pain lightly returned. Her vision gradually returned. During that time she felt her neck, but paused at the twine that got in the way. Her eyes wandering following it. Noting it was bound to the saddle, and long enough, she could possibly make an escape on the steed.

Silas ignored the human's demand, and with his vexation hoped Galen would silent her. A muzzle would be wonderful, prevents nipping anyway. He knew these girls would fight for their life, with biting, scratching and any other vicious bodily attacks. If he was in a more gentler mood, he'd wouldn't suggest any of the sorts, unless necessary.
He swiftly continued to breeze easily through the massive trees, as if it was born within. He wasn't easing his pace at all, very annoyed, not use to humans acting in ways, especially the human with weapons. What humans carry weapons. He eventually brushed off the odd witness, returning to his full focus.
He wasn't around Venus to prevent her from stealing his ride. The length of her 'leash' was long enough for her to escape. Though, if Silas found out, run away it wouldn't be pretty. Especially stealing his grand, rare stud.
Silas finally eased when he retrieved a familiar scent that he dealt with previously.A harsh, wicked smirked appeared. He traced it with slower speed.

Cobra watched as the angry orangutan hastily received her as she fell. He would of swiftly snagged her before she fell, but his hand held the large stick. He dropped it, furrowing his brows. What no thank you? He snorted as he hastily swung to the lower grounds.
Cobra remained in the upper limbs, observing Venus's fate from Silas. He swung to a few low tree branches, but not completely to the surface. As the orangutan angrily walked away, cobra grinned. He could easily snatch her, but decided to avoid. Perhaps he could buy her from him. With her rare condition would be a fine test subject.
He remained awhile on the tree, and eventually sat down, waiting for Silas to return to strike a price. However, he noted Venus awakening. Curiously he observed. It didn't take long before he realized what she was doing. He didn't go down, he amusingly watched.

Carol was still hiding, unaware. But she had aimed the crossbow, in case. She wasn't about to be claimed as a pet or a slave. She was in no way going to go back to that environment. That's what she worried. She didn't want to be caught. That was simple to understand.
She was capable of caring for herself. She was lucky that the jungle provided her some cover. She was waiting.

Galen noticed that Venus was awakening and took an made sure that she couldn't get away. He was waiting for Silas to return from looking for his own human. He hoped he would find her and soon. He also spotted Cobra in the trees.

Silas would be very pleased with his partner's act on preventing any escape on their captured creatures. In fact, he would reward him well, as the gladiator trainer was already vexed by Venus's attempts, plus Carol escaping. It's a huge burden to go after an escaped human, and watching another sly one.
Silas followed the scent, each branch to limb, it was expanding. As it expands, the apes' reaction was growing with the eagerness of snatching the runaway. He slowly leaped branch to massive tree limbs, as his motive wasn't to frighten Carol and have her scurry. Though, he wouldn't mind it. It would only flow more negative emotions.
Eventually, the scent got intently strong to the point Silas eased dramatically to quietly climbing along the sturdy branches. His sly movements, maneuver around large limbs that protruded out. Avoiding the possible objects that would alert the human below. His alerted, flustered gaze surveyed down below.

Carol was unaware of his arrival, thinking he would arrive on foot. She waited 30 seconds before deciding that he had given up and began to trek forward, the crossbow still cocked and aimed. If any more apes came, she'd shoot the crossbow. Carol was absorbed in getting to her secret hiding place that she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. She wasn't that attuned to the forest as she would be led to believe.
As she walked, she then felt like she was being watched and eased herself into a steady pace.

Venus was unaware of Galen spotting her. She carefully turned towards the stud, trying to avoid sharp pains through the harsh hit. She grasped the side of the saddle, where the rope was bound. Slowly with her strength she begin to climb up it. Then her ear caught Galen approaching. Of course there' another ape. Instead of farthing her escape plan she released and dropped onto the jungle floor. Of course a small jolt of pain returned. "Ack." She grumbled, reaching back to feel it. She coldly glared at Galen. "Remain..back." She muffled.

"I think not, my dear. You are injured." Galen said smoothly. "And where would you go if you have an injury that can possibly make you paralyzed from the neck down." He wasn't scared of humans. He was more likely to be the 'nicer' of Cobra and Silas. But his niceness wasn't to be replaced with his views of being an Overlord.
Galen was nice on many occasions especially to certain humans. It didn't mean he wasn't unarmed. But he had learned a thing or two from Silas just by observing. Trapping with the net would be a great idea. He was no fool. He got a little closer to her. "Give up. It's the only way to get a treatment from a reputable vet."

Venus averted her eyes over to the steed. she'd wonder if she could distract him somehow to go forth and escape. "Ha, this isn't the first time I've been beaten down." She slowly lifted her head. "Where would I go? What a silly question. Away from here, far." She answered him. "Pah, a vet? We don't get vets unless it's life threatening." She informed. This ape was strictly watching. "Oh great your obnoxious orangutan is coming back. " She bluffed, trying to draw his attention away. If she succeed, she tried to climb up the horse again.

"Oh what makes you think you'd make it far with a complete hunting party?" He inquired. "Safer with us than out there." Galen remarked. "And you think the horse would take you far away? I don't believe you know our horses well. They're trained to return to the City. And good luck trying to leave from there." He smirked. "Don't even think about it. You won't get far."

Venus glared over at Galen. "Because I can kill." Her cold eyes wandered over to the kind gorilla. "Pah, I might be safer with apes, but I have the skills to survive out here." She didn't believe him on the horse. "Some, perhaps, but this horse didn't go to the city when they traveled here, did they?" Despite his warning she continued to climb until she was near to hauling herself on the large saddle.
