After Galen had departed from the encampment, the few guards present there noted the frustration exposed on his face. It's not uncommon for a returned hunter to have sweated, frustrated face, nor, being exhausted. For that reason, there were other apes to tend to those hunters by cool beverages, snacks, and any of the sort to ease any of their irritation, vexation, even exhaustion. Here, they were viewed as great apes, as these hunters would hunt, and retrieve humans for the cages back in Central City.
One of the apes in the encampment walked towards Melanie to check, and see if they were thirsty, as the humans in the encampment were treated slightly with their needs. He firstly, paused over at Melanie, as she seemed more docile than most, but contained the casual fright for a new human. His eyes slowly glanced over to the albino. He blinked. He thought albinos were extinct, like the redhead they received days ago. He sighed examining her bounded state.
"Tsk..tsk...tsk." His head shook, viewing Venus from his place by Malanie's cage. "Much easier if you comply with us, a much better life you would endure. If not, well, look at your state, could have easily been avoided." He focused back on Melanie. "My dear, are you wanting water or food?" He asked.
As he questioned he noted the muzzle on Venus. Well, that was an issue for her to retrieve any. Perhaps he needs to remove it for a bit, but he wasn't going to do it, nope, the higher up handlers. First, he was going to respond to Melanie's needs, then worry about the other beside her cage, later.

Melanie was studying the lock when a guard came over. She had been trying to figure it out, how to lock it and all. Comply with them? She was far from hungry. Thirsty? She was dreadfully thirsty. She nodded, but stayed where she was. If she complied, maybe they wouldn't hurt her and let her go.
The other human in the other cage didn't fair too well. Melanie was also hiding her wound from view. But if you were able to look closer, you could actually see that her leg and her pants revealed a sign that she had an injury from a bullet. It wasn't her fault that she got shot in the leg.

Venus snorted at the ape guard. What a lie, a large fricken lie. Humans have to be gullible to believe that, perhaps not the new ones. But what she has experienced in the past years highly thinks otherwise. She shot her eyes over at the guard, shaking her head. How she wished she could speak, boy she'd retaliate in the sentence of the ape.

Soon, if not later, a vet came by the cages. She was going to look into the humans' health. She had two assistants flanking her. They would help her by restraining or holding the humans. They were unpredictable. The first cage she came to was a young brown haired woman. She unlocked the door and entered. The assistants blocked the door just in case she decided to leave.
As the vet looked at her hurt leg, she noticed that the wound wasn't too deep. But the bullet was there. It had to have hurt. "Lie down." The vet said to the human.
Melanie swallowed and complied, but she was nervous. What was going to happen. The vet went through her bag and gave her a sedative to put her into a complete relaxed state. Then she set about taking out the bullet and using a laser tool to sew up her wound. It soon looked like there was nothing on it. The human would sleep a little more.
Then she went to Venus' cage and again, the vet didn't know that the human was a gladiator. Her job was only to see to the humans that were injured from the hunt. Two guards and her assistants blocked any exit. "Lay down, human. I will need to look at your injuries. If not, then I'll have to put you under sedation." The vet was aware of how Galen tried to help ease her pain and instead, betrayed his trust. The ape meant well. "If you do the same as you did to Galen, I won't be able to help your pain, your healing, and I'm authorized to remove that shock collar that's around your neck."

Venus fanned out an ear listening to a kind vet strolling over to the first cage, Melanie. Venus from her sight noted this young chimp was being heavily guarded, not to mention a few buddies to aid her. She observed for a little. She realized that young ape was dominate to the other large ones. Interesting. She observed her work, then looked back in front. She lightly tensed from the idea they were going to invade her new territory. Her eyes pierced over at the vet that was coming over. She bounced her eyes to the others, then on the dominant chimp. Venus gritted her teeth together, the vet probably didn't see it. But as she clenched parts of her face would tighten. After she jerked her chin towards the door revealing 'back off!'. Her pupils expanded the harder she glared, her small nose lightly flared, also signaling she was about to strike if the vet disobeyed her warning.

The guard backed away from the door, glancing over at Venus, who clearly didn't want to be bothered. He nervously pondered if he should question the vicious woman if she wanted anything. Carefully, he walked a few small steps over to Venus's cage. He intently observed her, still thinking. His lip lightly curled back.
As he was intently examining her, while contemplating. He discovered the shock collar behind the device Galen connected to her collar. The ape also noted a number on the collar, indicating she was a gladiator or slave. Regardless, what was she doing it here?
Instead of asking, the gorilla walked away from both females to gather mainly water. He hadn't return until the vet was just exiting out of Melanie's containment. After, he gently placed The big hug onto the cages' surface.
"Here you are, little one." He patted her head, stepping back out. He had the patrol for the cage lock it. Slowly, he turned back to Melanie, kindly waving. "Get better." He added.
He watched the vet bravely enter the albino's temporary domain. The ape servant winced, anxious, yet excited for the outcome.
However, the patrol noted Venus's gradual threatening stance. He wasn't aware of the vet knew, but gladly warned. "Uh, careful vet. That gladiator...." He gripped his head. "Or slave, is about to strike." He informed."Us...Use, the snare pole if you need!" He added.

Melanie walked over to the jug of water and drank quickly, nearly choking on it. But then looked over to the other human and watched. She was watching her actions which resembled a wild animal getting ready to strike. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." She spoke. "You're already injured. You want more injury then you do now, fight. See how far you get."
Her leg was feeling a lot better and there wasn't a lot of pain.
The vet, wasn't a fool to notice the stances. She shook her head. "Tsk Tsk. You are too wild and I'm not experienced to deal with that type of behavior. I'm not paid enough to money to be some humans' punching bag. You should be ashamed of yourself, really." Then she scolded. "Bad girl for getting ready to strike. I didn't bring you in here. I'm trained to help humans with their injuries from the hunt. I'm not here to get struck by them and I can see why you were muzzled. You bit an ape that was trying to possibly help you. Now I won't take your muzzle off nor help all of your injuries."
The vet left Venus' cage. "That one's too wild for me to handle. We have to use a tranquilizer on that one which is in my tent. It's more potent than the one in my bag. I'll treat her when I'm done with all the other humans."

Before traveling over, the older patrol had noted how Melanie was horsing down her small tanker of water. He didn't want the good human to nearly drown herself. He maneuvered himself back into the cage where Melanie was. He slightly hunched over, replenishing the water when she stopped a moment.
The gentle server stepped back out, observing, while warmly smiling. "Don't drown yourself, since you're constantly drinking. When you've taken a breath during your deep drinking, some will seep in your air tubes. Causing you to cough. Hence 'don't drown yourself'." He lightly educated, drawing his face away.
For a moment he darted his eyes back over to Melanie, thinking the same thing. This gladiator was crazy to fight off the ones who are trying to aid. But what do you expect from a vicious creature? For now, he observed the vet, curious if she would overpower the feisty female to prove who's boss. He slightly frowns, watching as the Serenity didn't even want to bother.
Quietly, the patrol walked closer to the vet, kindly whispering, "don't fall into the human's provoking to draw you away, it will only prove you're weaker than them, and they're dominant." His hand lifted. "Which gives them the advantage to know they have control over you, and can constantly use tactics to curve you into what they want you to do." He clarified. "I've been told by several apes."
He looked back over to the violent human. "Look, she's easily bound, not going to attack much. If you want I can help you. I've encountered Renegade humans, now those are a handful."

Melanie stopped drinking all that she wanted. She looked all around the cage, to see if there was some way out. Seeing none, she continued to stand there, shifting foot to foot. Then she looked at the other human and frowned. Then she looked into another cage and saw other humans.
She couldn't believe she was stuck here. She walked to the cages' door, knowing that it would be the only way out. She pounded on the door. She wanted out of there. "Get me out of here!"
The vet nodded. "Yes. That'd be nice. I don't like to see humans in pain. The gladiator needs to relearn that not all apes are evil and I have medicine that will take away all inflammation and swelling. She may even need to sleep to heal. So I might keep her under sedation." She headed back to the wild humans' cage.

The guard heard the other girl, who seemed to be more stable, hollering, and screeching. He shook his head, knowing it was a casual attempt for a human to get an ape to release, but it wasn't always like that. Once in those cages, their rights are completely hindered and you must obey their will, or be punished.
A slow nod, then the guard strolled over to the cage door. "Be at ready, even use your helpers if you must." He stated, stalking into the ferocious humans' cage. He resumed his attention on Venus who sat there, flaring off warning signals on her upcoming strike. He was a little nervous, but with her being bound in the way she was, he wasn't even faltered.
He rose his palms high, to most animals it was a signal of a threat. But to Venus? Who knows. Once she charged over from him disobeying her warning, he swiftly grasped around her waist. "Waoh! Woah! There!" He slowly, but hastily placed her on the floor of the cage. "That's enough, calm down." His hand brushed across her hair. His force ensured she couldn't rise back up.
"Now vet, sedate her just a little. Not enough to knock her, but enough to cause her to be quite loopy." He hastily suggested.

Melanie continued to bang on the cages' door using both fists, despite being told no. She believed it was only temporary and the cage wasn't something comfortable. She was hollering and almost going crazy for being in this cage. It was too constricting and hard! Even her fists were going to be turning red.
The vet immediately looked over. "The girl. Calm the girl. She's going to hurt herself." The vet didn't know much about wild humans. She only had dealt with the tame ones in the city.
Then she stepped over to the gladiator and produced a light sedative to calm her down. She readied it. "Be mindful of her neck. The gorilla is very good at making sure her neck is immobilized."

Venus was glad at first that the vet listened to her warning, and drew away. Good, stay away from her territory. Of course that glee would end when another stepped into her turf. She resumed her threatening stance as he came close. She noted his hands, she wasn't a fool, he'd snag her. It wasn't the first. She didn't take long to challenge him in a swift leap. However she easily failed being captivated in the gorilla's arms. She would whip around trying to free herself. She jerked her body once she was placed down. A few yelps came out. She felt the stroked and being restrained forcefully. Her harsh glare shifted into fear after noting the needle. She hastily shook her head, unless she had her head restrained.

The vet was aware and spoke. "I'm just going to give you a light dose of something to help you relax. Nothing more. It will make you loopy and then I can examine your wound. I will also scan your injuries with a device to determine how many broken bones you may have. Then we'll go from there." She walked over, prepped an alcohol pad and rubbed shoulder gently. "You'll feel a little sting, but it's nothing to worry about." She would usually use an IV but now wouldn't be a good idea. She inserted it into her arm. Plunging the medicine into her, she waited for the medicine to take affect.

Venus could barely fight as she was intensely restrained to prevent further damage to the vicious blow to the neck. She'd listen to the vet, and reluctantly fought, but was useless with her head held down. She lightly tensed her body trying to squirm. Her eyes didn't shift from the needle as she prepped his. As the vet inched closer, sweat emerged. Her head would completely not move while the syringe was injected. She yipped, sealing her eyes. It didn't take long for the fighter's light moving body to slowly ease to remaining limp. Her eyes slowly blinked, with bit of a blur.

After the vets' bodyguards and helpers finally restrained Venus to the point she couldn't fight back at all. His eyes wandered over the loud banging. Slowly, his brows furrowed in confusion, not expecting Melanie to have passed the sedation. Perhaps it wears off too easily. Swiftly, he glanced over at Venus, wondering if she could do the same.
Another bang, his worried eyes shot over to the relentless human that wanted to get out. His head dropped, slowly shaking it with dissatisfaction."If it's not one thing, it's another." He grumbled, releasing his hands from her shoulder. After he did, another ape switched places. Melanie needed to cool it.
He walked out of the cage after the two apes parted to allow him to slip through. Warmly displaying a smile as he approached the other cage. His hand placed on the side of the cage, releasing the door open. If she ran, just like Venus, he'd snag her. "Now, now young pup. I will help you mellow out." His smile lightly darkened, drawing her back. He once again plucked off the ground. "I'm not going to allow you to hurt yourself."
His eyes bounced over to the sedated human next door. "I would apply a mask to continue the sedation. This one came out of it!" He called out to the vet.
He brought his attention to Melanie. With kind stroked, he responded, "now, what's the issue?"
