Maxwell knew about the cages and the way they were opened by ape hands. He shuddered about having to cut one of them off to use. Urgh. Gross. Meanwhile, he nodded in thought. He nodded. "I'm not afraid of any ape. At all." He mouthed. "Good luck." He also mouthed as she sneaked down to the ground. He waited a second before he sneaked down himself, keeping to the shadows as he moved.
He had done this countless times before sneaking up on apes and spooking them.

Venus glimpsed up after hearing his mouth faintly move, she read his lips before he was done. She smirked, mouthing in return, "Fear ape, ape fear not you. Fear not ape, ape fear you." She looked back down after passing down the saying to another. Slowly she brought out her small blade, scurrying over to the shadows of the encampment. Having a raven-black hood helps to block out her alarming pale skin. She bounced her eyes around for the perfect distraction. She paused. Horses? Now, would the hunters chase them down?

Maxwell waited in the shadows, near the first cage. A human lay on the floor, sleeping? What are the chances they were all put to sleep by the gas? It was tasteless and odorless. Maybe not. He waited for a sign of the distraction to move. Once the distraction took place, he could free all the humans. Then they'd flee. It was perfect. Now if he didn't get ill, that'd be great.
In the meantime, he waited.

He walked up behind Melanie and smirked. "Going nowhere, but back to your cage. Unless you know more than you led on." Galen wasn't sure whether or not he should make her talk or let it go. He did notice the food stash she held and she was on the defense.
"You're not going anywhere at all." Galen spoke firmly.
Then he looked at Silas. "If she's capable of leaving the cage, then maybe we should try the wooden cage." He suggested. "It's old fashioned and harder to get out of."

Silas didn't expect Galen to suddenly appear from the shadows to retrieve his human, that had been a headache for the evening. She wasn't the only one that was either. A stunned, frozen gazed over at Galen, as Silas was appalled as the sly catch. Shortly, he smiled, relieving his tense muscles around his large limbs. He darted down to the stunned human.
His head shook over at Melanie, not very surprised she continued to want to foolishly escape, knowing she'd have a very low percent chance to actually succeed. "No, she isn't. Even if she did try, she'd fail." His intimidating face sunk to her level. "Our night patrol would have snatched her up." He mischievously grinned, lifting his head high snobbishly.
After being quite haughty towards the human, he lowered his proud stature, peering over to Galen. "Wooden? Are you a little crazy Galen? I mean..." He averted his eyes to the ground, sighing. "I prefer solid metal, but you choose what you like." He smiled back over to him.

"There's metal cages?" He looked at him. "I wonder if that'll teach the human a thing or two not to mess with us."
He was only trying to help Silas. He was right about being snatched up. "You stand no chance in escaping. Give it up Melanie. You'll not achieve anything by it. You're better off with us. Don't you see? You won't have to worry about being cold, hungry, or afraid of big cats." Galen was persuading. "Even if it means spending most of your life under us. You fare better here than out there."
He smiled to Silas.

Melanie was clutching her food closer to her chest. "You don't understand...This food? Isn't for me. Had you listened to Carol about taking care of a pet, I wouldn't have to sneak out."
She wasn't making any excuses and they didn't believe her and it wouldn't matter. "Most likely hurt and beaten under you." She retorted. "And try a metal cage with me-" She left the threat in the air. "You'll regret it."

Venus planned to free the horses, as it was a good distraction, and the apes had no mounts to go after the escapees. She'd just hope it would cooperated perfectly. She cowered, crossing over to the horses. To not frighten them, she rolled a few fruits she gathered back in the jungle. As they were occupied with the produce, she severed all the ropes, and provoked them to run. She mounted one, turning to face Mat as he got them freed, but didn't directly.

Max noticed everything and hoped that the guards and patrols would chase after those horses and not the humans he would set free and soon. He was slowly working the control panel and attempting to open the door to the first cage. The human inside would feel the warm air on his face and wake up instantly.
Max continued to work the other cages, keeping to the shadows.

That's when the guards and patrols heard the horses' noise and began to chase them instead of keeping track of the escaping humans. Actually, they didn't know that the humans were escaping with the help of an overlord raised human. Should they find out, he'd get punished. But they wouldn't find out which village he came from.

Silas blinked as his eyes widened with astonishment. No, no, this ape couldn't be that oblivious with the variety of cages. Certain varieties of cages where settled in different locations, how could Galen miss them? They're clear like a pimple. Perhaps, the young hunter wasn't aware of the entire area like some up in-age apes.
His face settled in a smile, closing his eyes slightly, responding, "Yes, you silly ape. Why would we just have wood...where some could easily escape. The bright ones anyway." He slowly rose and dropped his shoulders. Like I said Galen, up to you, I'm to enforce a decision on you." He highly clarified, wanting the young ape to discover on his own with his choices.
A large finger rose, Silas was about to scold the haughty human once more, but the out of the blue cries of multiple horses severed the idea. Quickly, his eyes darted over to where the horses where stationed. Slowly his eyes narrowed over with rage. Not another incident, these humans are starting to be a large issue in the camp. Perhaps constant watch on the troublemakers would decrease the chances of another negative occurrence.
He hadn't detected the albino on the large steed as she was shielded by the numerous horses darting in various directions. His hand gently grasped Galen's bulky shoulder. "Galen, I'd like you to venture that way, his finger directed Silas's required direction. "I'll head over there, and slowly we can close in on the human that's obviously still there. Sadly, Rowan is recovering."

Galen hadn't known the variety of cages. "Maybe a metal one would help persuade Melanie to behave. Nothing like a little 'disciplining'." He emphasized.
Then he heard the horses and turned to look. "Alright. I will."
He headed in that direction. Not realizing Melanie was still loose. The other ape guards were chasing the horses around, trying to corral them.

Melanie slowly inched away, trying to sneak away since the two were 'distracted'. Believing they were both stupid dumb hulking big apes, they were always willing to forget about her. Well, she'd make the effort to use the horse's as a distraction to escape.
She knew that she couldn't help her sister and that's what hurt. She didn't know where to look or where she may be. Silas was too busy now so that gave her ample opportunity to try to escape once again.

Venus noted the familiar apes proceeding in various of directions to corner the horses. But could they really with just two? She wasn't aware of their schemes into gathering them. She just hoped it would by her sometime to allow Maxwell to free quite the number. She slowly guided the horse backwards, into some thicket that surrounded majority of the encampment, as it was placed into a jungle. While continuing to go back, she spotted the familiar brunette attempting to escape. Well, she had a high chance, but there's patrols that remained behind. She whipped her head behind her to view the process of Mathew.

Max was freeing all of the humans that were in the cages. Many of them heading into the jungle, by his directions. Many climbed trees, many went on foot, and many stayed with Max to help free the rest. He knew Venus was still working on her distraction which gave him plenty of time to reprogram the cages to remain open despite the other apes being able to close them, though he was quite discreet and it was too gruesome to write into words.
