Cobra gladly walked inside, with his hands behind his back. He evilly grinned, observing around for his human. "Yes, I might not have ownership, but don't challenge me when you say I don't."
He turned around, walking a few steps closer to her, not trying to appear intimidating. He smirked with victory. "Because I have plenty of witness to cover me. Don't be a fool."

Noella was really hidden well as she knew how to hide. There was no absolute way she was going to go with him. He sounded insane from the sounds of it. Noella was holding her breath, waiting for him to leave. She hoped that the shop owner wouldn't fall for it.
She believed it was better to stay hidden among these items and not come out.

"Well, if she's not yours, then you shouldn't be pursuing something that isn't yours." Melody chimed in, not intimidated at all. "Besides. I told you that a human escaped from the back. So the animal's here somewhere. And I don't need help looking for a human."

Cobra rose a brow. "Don't act like a dimwit ape, unless you are one?" He snorted. "Besides I bought that little brat while you left. If you will not comply I will alert the guards out there!" He fired his finger towards the door, threatening.
"Then find her.. Or I will. Without your consent or not, I will get permission out there." He pointed to the guards again. "You're trying to avoid it, but you're doing something illegally."

"You're the dimwitted ape willing to accuse me of nothing. I'm not hiding her. She's hiding herself." She didn't seem to think she was doing anything illegally. After all, she wasn't hiding the human. The human was hiding on her own free will.
"Besides, all you want to do is stick needles into her flesh and when you're done, you'd toss her the moment she is no longer useful to you." She sneered. "Then you expect a wild human to come willingly when she's afraid of you and only you." She pulled back the pile of clothes and looked. "See!"

Noella looked up at Melody...a little upset because she had betrayed her. She was holding onto the display's middle bar, tightly. She began to shake her head no. "I don't want to go! He called me a little brat! I'm not a little brat! It wasn't my fault I got tortured by the gorillas."
Noella was shaking and her lips were quivering. "I didn't do anything to those gorillas. Honest. All I did was sit and they shocked me with these prods. Even to wake me up. This one chimpanzee kept knocking me out to heal me...but they would always shock me with those prods. They laughed at me every time I cried or screamed in pain. I bit every ape that came near me because I didn't know what else to do. And I was afraid of everything. They made me into a wild feral human." Noella swallowed. "I ran away because I was afraid - to get prodded with another one of those things."
"Please don't hurt me?"

"See! I didn't hide this human!" Melody pointed out. " Cobra, maybe you should be a little more kinder and gentler in your approach with humans instead of taking out all of your anger on humans like her. At least Phoenix is much nicer than you when dealing with humans."

Cobra glared at the caring ape, while observing Noella in his corner view. "Ha! You're the mindless baboon. You have no idea what provoked her, you weren't even present during the time. Plus, if you're not doing anything illegal, then why protect her when she was in there?hmm? Don't act so innocent."
"Why stop me now? When I've been doing it for years, besides just like anyone on the outside of the labs, so judgemental." He snorted, shaking his head. "Though, some are true, but don't assume unless you are present." He added.

Melody sighed. "I wasn't hiding her." She said. "I closed my doors because there was a mob of apes before I found her. I didn't want a mob of thieves coming into my store and ransacking it. It wasn't until after I closed and locked my doors, did I smell her. I began to look around, thinking of my customer's humans got out of the cage. When I peeled back the clothes there, she was there. Hiding. I didn't hide or protect her. I was protecting my customer's pets." She later added, "She must have darted in here prior to the mob to hide from them."
"And I don't know or care for the experiments you do. Every ape that's a human activist despises animal testing. It's not fair to them and what may work for one human may not work for an ape." She added, "Maybe you don't have to break her in." She said. "She hasn't attacked me, jumped me, or even bit me."

Noella watched the two of them talking. Well, she could walk out but then she caught sight of Cobra watching her. She stood up and a few articles of human clothes fell to the floor. She began to look through them, more curious. Fortunately, she was smart enough to put the articles back on the hangers and hang them up on the rack.
It wouldn't surprise any of them because a feral wild human wouldn't bother to hang up clothes. They were still talking which was a good sign. She proceeded to look around, noticing various items of puzzles, and toys. Why toys? Surely they weren't that 'childish' here. She continued to look around and went behind the counter. She disappeared for a few minutes, looking at the items there. More curious and spotted something that resembled hard candy? Grabbing the container, she opened it and sniffed it. Fruity smells wafted into her nose. She grabbed a piece and smelled it. It smelled uniquely of a peach-mango. She licked it first and then popped it into her mouth. It tasted so good that she took a few more pieces of other colors too.

"And..." Melody added. "She hasn't even attempted any of the actions on that note. The only thing she ever did was tell me how scared she was of you and only you. She hasn't even attempted to bite me, even when I came close to her. She wasn't provoked." Then she recalled. "Oh yeah. Did she try to bite you when you- grabbed her?"

His brow slowly rose, a little skeptical that the reason for Melody to close up shop was a mob. He, however, didn't counteract with words, he followed through for now. "Alright, alright, then you were locking your shop for a mob, and not your lunch period?" He asked, then dropped his paw. "
His arms folded. "I haven't even provoked her, she acted all crazy and escaped. I was in no rush to retrieve her, as I figured one of the patrols within the cages to catch her. But, she did it again. If anyone provoked it was hunters, handlers, and Maximus. I didn't even threat the mutt." He snorted.

Melody stared at him. "Would you want a mob of human activists marching into your Laboratory and messing things up? I think not." She shook her head. "And how do you know if I wasn't talking to another ape inside the back?" She asked. "There are two other lady apes in the back who also help groom the humans."
"Besides it's only natural for a human who's afraid to run. The city's vast and large. How long do you think a young pup would last out there?"

Noella was looking around under the counter and found a curious sight. It had a wooden plank with a wire on a hook. Curious, she stopped looking through the delicious pieces of candy. She looked at the piece of candy in her hand and then the wooden plank. As much curiosity as a child, she just couldn't leave well enough alone and stuck her finger right on it.
Snappp..."Ahhhhh!" Was the next thing that would probably draw any attention as she drew her hand from under the counter. The plank was stuck tightly on her hand. "Ahhhhh!"

Cobra narrowed his eyes over at the kind bonobo. "Don't underestimate any human, Melody." He strictly mentioned, bouncing his evil pupils over to the frightened human. "Those creatures are always unpredictable." He added, before strolling over to the back of the counter. "There's plenty of humans that find ways to leave this city."
The sudden snap caused him to whip his focus over at the dense human. He snorted, not feeling remorse one bit. A cold snicker came on. "Foolish creatures you are. Obviously, you would view that as a trap." He rolled his eyes, walking over to grasp her side, drawing close. With one hand he examined it.
He dropped her sore hand. "Pull it together, you're fine."
