Melody narrowed her eyes then. "Because they don't like it here. Every ape treats them as brainless beasts. Per Dr Zaius." She added. "Maybe she's never seen a rat trap before. So don't insult her for not knowing what it is."

Noella found nothing but coldness towards her accidental curiosity and she wanted nothing to do with that cold chimp.
She moved her fingers and was glad they weren't broken, but her fingers were sore. Being close to a cold chimp did nothing but make her cringe and try to wordlessly push against him. She got stupidly silly...and took out one of the hard candy from her 'private' stash and pushed it right into his open mouth while speaking.

Cobra gladly agreed, but knew the honest truth on some bright humans. He folded his arms, while being very near his human that Melody forbade. A cool smirk gradually appeared with narrowing of the eyes. "Oh, what a silly little bonobo you are. You should know these creatures are like others, not very bright, and foolish." He crossed his arms on her counter, leaning forward. "Like I said foolish."
When Noella slowly backed, in a flash Cobra's fingers grappled the girl and hauled her over. "You're not going anywhere." He strictly commanded, scowling. His head rolled over to Melody, grinning. "We don't want your little fingers to get into trouble."

Noella didn't like being pulled closer to the cold chimp and she used sticky fingers to try to pry his fingers from her arm. She wasn't going anywhere anyway. How would she leave if he was blocking her way. "You're a blockhead." She mumbled as she found it fruitless. Since he had her closer to him, she was still not able to feel any type of warmth or anything. It was like being close to someone who didn't care about her.
She was silent, staring at the floor.

"Well of course she's foolish! She's about 18 years old. You were 18 once and foolish." Melody rolled her eyes. "It's evident that this human is young and foolish. Something she's not seen before will make her look into it. Despite the consequences. I can see you need a leash and collar for her. That would ease some of the guards already looking in to the building."
Well that was true about the guards.

Cobra rose a brow, slowly cracking a smile out of humor. "I am still foolish on certain parts with my career." He secretly mentioned, placing one hand on her counter. He shot his cold eyes over at Noella. "Oh, I'm much worse in the eyes of many, little pup. Especially from apes like that one." His finger from the counter pointed at Melody.
His glare returned on Melody, who was only being nice in a cautious way. He smirked. "Are you offering me a leash and a collar? Because I have one back in my domain." He mentioned, refraining from revealing it was his lab, but he didn't want to frighten the child, well not yet.

Noella didn't know what he meant and by the mentioning of how worse he was in the eyes of many. She simply didn't know how worse he truly was. She didn't think he would really harm her. Except that he was something of a 'stern' figure. Not allowing her to get into trouble. In her free hand was actually a bunch of candy. She grimaced at the mention of a collar and leash. She wasn't going to be needing those things. And his grip was uncomfortable on her arm. "Oww."

Melody noted his glare and chuckles. "I just thought you could use both of those items for her. But seeing that you have a clamp on her arm, you'd have her under control." Melody shook her head as he talked coldly to her. "Don't you give a care that she's just a pup? Why take her to your 'domain' and not your home?" She suggested. "Your 'domain' may be the worst place for her and she'll overreact."

His eyes rolled, a little annoyed, as he dragged Noella closer to himself. "You human-loving apes really need a different perspective on other apes, even life maybe." He snorted, drawing her closer and closer, until he was able to latch a collar, but didn't. He knew he could easily concur any wild human, and possibly gladiators, but that's only a wish.
He softly shrugged, lightly smirking with dark glee. "Because I have my reasons like you have certain duties and reasons here with humans." He blandly explained, while answering. "As for a collar and leash, I don't mind getting them here. In fact, get the most pricy."

Noella despised getting closer to the cold chimp and made an indignant noise. "No! I don't want that!" She exclaimed, as she tried to push away even though it didn't seem to do anything. "Let go of me! You're hurting my arm!" She was panicking again, because she didn't like being too close to anyone except her parents.

Melody went ahead and looked for a collar for her that at least matched her shirt. She heard an indignant noise from Noella followed by an exclamation. It was a collar that was soft, and wouldn't hurt her. It wasn't too plain. "This one is favored by most humans and apes. Soft, and hypoallergenic. It won't break her nape out in rashes. It'd suit her hair and shirt." Melody offered. "Also, you may want to inspect her arm. The only time a human ever makes an indignant noise is when they either are not wanting to do something. Or she is really in pain."

He lightly grimaced, firing his annoyed expression over at Noella. His eyes rolled as the annoyance expanded. "You humans are so fragile even falling from a small height would break a bone." He snorted, smiling impishly. "Could be useful to seek out a remedy to improve your forms." He added, stroking the edge of his chin.
Oh no, Melody was falling for the human in being oblivious to Noella's acts. Again, another roll of his eyes. "You should be aware it doesn't take much to bruise them. You out of all, besides a vet, would be aware." His eyes carried over to the accessories. "Works for me, I can honestly don't care about the looks." He stated in a dead voice.

Noella shook her head. It was no act of hers and at least she wasn't compelled to bite his hand or his digits. She had no compulsion to, showing she wasn't really interested in causing any pain to any ape. After all, they weren't the gorillas that enjoyed burning her with prods and disregarding what they were ordered not to do that. But they did it anyway.
Noella wondered how many threats he was going to issue before he realized she wasn't lying. She wasn't planning on leaving his side...not with his cold threats and there were plenty of others outside that would prevent her from leaving. The only solution left was maybe she could soften his demeanor and cruelty a little more by hugging- for mere comfort.
She had only one chance to try. "Fine." She knew that he wouldn't let her go. Even if there was no exit. Urging herself, breaking her own little instinctual flight or fight. She knew he was going to either push her away or comfort her? She was close enough to actually 'hug' him. Her arms were wrapped around his mid-section, face buried into his fur, and one single hand clamping his fur.
