Allie held onto her neck even as she was pick up. She swallowed, suddenly nervous about what they would see. She looked over to the member who wanted to see the evidence. Was he concerned and stared at the other members too.

Kratos was indeed about to speak up until Zaius swiftly blurted out what he wanted. It was like the council member purposely brought his voice forth, to prevent others to chime in their question. Kratos didn't really care, as Zaius's question was very similar to the President's.
Kratos hovered over the stand, peering down as the female removed a few items of attire. His brow rose, puzzled on why they physically used the human and displayed. It's not wrong, just might cause more pain towards the creature. "Might I ask why you didn't take photos, and use this creature for evidence?" His wrist crossed over. "I would assume a vet would do that to prevent further damage."
He sighed. "However, since you didn't, you'll have to bring her closer for examination." He mentioned.

"I recorded photo evidence, even as well as highlighting any broken bones. We always take pictures and x-rays." Serenity said. "They should be on your screens." She had sent them right before the meeting and sent a copy to Zephram's office. She knew that they were going to be asking for photos.
"The human has been given a mild painkiller for any pain." Serenity gently picked her up- like she would a baby and laid her down on Kratos' table.
"And I felt if I didn't bring in the human, then there'd be a possibility that the photos would be photo edited and there'd be no proof. So I bought the human as well."

Allie would have fumbled, the motions were making her a little queasy. Being picked up and then being put up on another table. "Oh please just let me walk." She found herself begging the little chimpanzee vet. She was half lying on the table. Why couldn't they just let her rest. "I'm getting motion sickness from all the motions."
Even when she was carried to the camp over Bartus' shoulder, she had a bad sense of vertigo and motion sickness. She would have mentioned it earlier.

Dr Zaius furrowed his brows, trying to comprehend what the two defending just do. He tapped the edge of the table, peering down over the ledge. "If you had photographic proof and documents, then why cause the creature more suffering? When you didn't need to bring her. I mean I would assume a vet would not bring forth an injured animal, that's dangerously needing aid. Shocks me really."

"There's a logical explanation, Dr Zaius." Zephram spoke. "What're the chances Bartu would kidnap the human despite their orders to let her recover in their office?"

Maximus listened and leaned forward in his seat. The human was pale and he agreed. "I agree. It's harsh to bring a sick animal into the court. She should be returned to the vet's office to continue her treatment and get more rest. Dragging her around is going to cause her to get sick."
"Bartu, you should not have dunked her in that water because you may have very well made her sick."
Then he turned to Zephram. "I don't think Bartu said that he would kidnap a human from a vet's office. It's highly unlikely that he would." He pointed a finger. "You need to stop assuming things." He ordered him. "The human should have stayed in the vet's office, in her recovery cage. And I'm sure that there are plenty of vets that are capable of watching over the human while you are here."

Zephram believed he misunderstood. "There are a lot of cases involving apes kidnapping humans from our building and leaving the city. Our agents haven't mentioned it to the council because it's not important. The missing humans are found in shallow graves." Zephram finally admitted. "We don't want the same to happen to this human. Because all it takes is one false move and she's found herself stuffed. The threat of that hanging over her head is no life at all. This human has begged us not to be sent to Bartu. Normally, a human would accept her position. But this one won't."
He looked at the human. "Serenity. You're a vet. I'm not. Perhaps you can shed some light on how she lost her child."

Serenity opened a file, revealing the patient records from start to finish. The reports were on their tables. "You have what we submitted. But here's a file of the human. It's thin because we just got her." She laid the file down the table, near Allie.
"18 year old female human named, Allie. My first initial examination revealed that the human was actually only 2 months into her pregnancy. I also scanned that all bones were intact. No sign of a broken bone or fracture which means her bones are good. Back to the pregnancy, based on the amount of stress she had endured, must have been so great that her body aborted her unborn child. A light shock like from friction wouldn't cause a miscarriage, a shock from a prod or a whip will without a doubt cause her to miscarry. I patched her up from inside, but that will not stop the 'bleeding' and associated symptoms. What she will have for the first few days is heavy bleeding which is totally normal."
Serenity then added. "I took an oath just like every single vet. If I didn't do my job, then I wouldn't have one. My oath is to care for all humans and not do any harm. It states, "First do no harm. And I will treat any and all animals that come into the office." She said. "I took that oath like many other vets and medical doctors."

Bartu listened to each side complaining about him. His eyes rolled. He fired a vicious glare at the Zephram. He couldn't believe he was being judged by that lowlife chimp. He snorted, banging his fist onto the sturdy table top. "Objection!" He called out.

"Objection noted." Maximus spoke, shifting his gaze to Bartu. He was shooting furious glares at Zephram.
He shifted his gaze to Zephram. "Zephram. Might I ask you to step outside the courtroom? Under our watch, no harm will come to the human. After, if we find that the human cannot be returned to Bartu, we will ask you to return."
"Serenity, do you have any other vets that are familiar with this humans' case and does this vet have any professional insight?"

Zephram gave a glare to Bartu and then promptly left the courtroom. Apparently, his 'assuming' was nothing but aggravating everyone. He was not a bad chimpanzee. He knew every ape that was harsh or brutal didn't like him. They never did. He was the least liked ape in ape city just because he was the director of human affairs. He supposed he did his job or tried.

Phoenix opened one of the wooden doors to the tribunal room, the loud squeak from the hinges would draw any attention towards it. As the room is very quiet at times. His palm rose high. "Sorry, I'm late I had to tend things that were more vital than this, no offense." He stated, strolling over to Zephram and Serenity.
"Notify me when it's my turn." He asked, placing himself in the seat beside Serenity. He grasped the files, examining the information slowly as the other apes dealt with what they did. He occasionally would glare at Bartu when their eyes connected.

Maximus heard the squeaky doors and looked over. He saw Phoenix enter. "Ah Phoenix. That's not a problem. Some vital matters are more important than this." He readily agreed. Serenity was seated next to him, leaving the human on the table. He wondered why. But the human was resting on the table, under Kratos' podium. He guess that was alright. As long as she didn't try anything foolish.
