Well, to be used as 'evidence', Allie didn't seem to mind resting on the table. It beat sitting in a chair and being uncomfortable. She listened to everyone, but wasn't talking very much. She didn't feel like talking.

Dr. Zaius leaned over his desk, peering at the girl then over at Bartu. His reputation was known to be harsh and emotionless towards humans. But a few would expect it as he was a taxidermy. Zaius slowly returned to his seat, reading over a few files as the little fight went on. His palm elevated. "Maximus, if he's a witness I would recommend him to stay." He mentioned. Then peered over at the vet who entered. He would of gotten angry, but Phoenix had a valid reason. "No worries. Now, Serenity, I see your points of what would provoke the miscarriage. However, Bartu placed in the file that this creature was already petrified by being chased by bears." He hovered over the table, looking down at Allie. "Is this true, and be honest."

Bartu smirked when Maximus took his objection further then he'd expected. His eyes looked between Zephram and Maximus. He slowly waved at Zephram when others were busy. However, it would easily stop from Dr. Zaius's recommendation towards Maximus. Bartu grimaced, hoping that Maximus wouldn't follow through.

Zephram paused just before leaving and came back into the courtroom. After all, Zaius was right. He was a witness. He took his seat near Phoenix.
Zephram lowered his finger. "But a human may also be petrified of gorillas should they feel endangered. Had Bartu not shocked or stressed her out, the fetus would have continued to thrive."

Maximus waited until Zaius was done with his questioning. He listened to Allie talk about her fears of bears.
"I have one question, pup." He spoke as he walked over and examined her whip marks. "Also in his report, you didn't seem to be afraid of them until you asked to be free from Bartu and Rowan." He near Zaius. "He also said that he would not harm you."

Allie swallowed and then spoke with all honesty. "Yes I'm petrified of bears chasing me." She looked at Dr Zaius as she spoke. "It's always been my childhood fears and I don't like to venture too far from my home."
"Because he became violent with me and I was frightened."

Serenity leaned back in her chair, deep in thought. She was aware of the girl being petrified of bears. Her response was a very brief and confirmed she was petrified by bears. Serenity was going through the files too and caught something else. "Wait a minute." She held up a palm.
"I know I'm not a council member, but I'd like to ask Allie a question. What were you doing before you met Bartu and Rowan?"

Dr. Zaius slowly, staggering rose up from his warm seat. His palm rose high. "So, you're not completely for certain as this human clearly endured other things, am I wrong?" Zaius brought his hand down, and swing it behind his back. He strolled a little distance, near Maximus. "So, it has been confirmed that this creature still is petrified of bears." He mentioned, wavering a finger. "Proving that it could of not been the shocks." He swung himself directing a finger at Allie. "That human could of easily been startled by the large beasts to the point it could of began the process of losing the child." His eyes darted down at the female vet. "Go on with your question."

Serenity shook her head and rubbed her head. "I wasn't there when she met Bartu and Rowan so I wouldn't know what she endured before. If she's petrified of bears, then it's within good reason. She met one. It's simple as that."
Serenity shifted in her chair. "How many times have you seen bears, Allie?"

"Twice. Once when I was a kid and several hours before I met- them." She pointed to them. "I didn't panic when I saw the bear. I just backed up and left the area. I wandered for hours before getting stuck in a trap. Even then, I wasn't panicking. Although I was dangling upside down. Then I heard voices and thought they were human so I began to call for help. Then I saw them and they cut me down. Well, the other one did. Then the other one wanted me to run and 'present him a challenge' so he could catch me and claim me as his 'prize'. When I saw an area that was familiar, I decided to head home...but he captured me, shocked me with his whip." Allie wanted to go on, but she felt it was nothing. "I wasn't stressed until I began to feel pain and when I tried to go home, it got worse. I didn't say anything. I just pleaded to let me go to my village."
"I didn't have to say anything to anyone until that chimpanzee noticed I was in labor. Prior, I felt nothing. Not even with that bear." She finally said. "Serenity tried to save my child. But it was already too late."

Maximus noticed that he needed to interject. "That also goes for small young apes. They can fear large beasts, too. The only time that a 'human' can fear a large beast is if they pose a threat or are threatening. We don't know if this human had a 'traumatizing' event as a child with a large beast." He turned to look at the human. "Are you afraid of Bartu or Rowan, human?"

Allie looked at Bartu and Rowan, then at them each in turn. "You're bigger than he and you don't see me shaking in fear." She answered Maximus. "But- he scares me because I heard him in the next room. He sounded mad and laughing was scary to me."

Zephram stood up and said, "What does this have to do with this case? My granddaughter is afraid of wild large beasts. Especially bears. Any human can fear wild beasts despite being a beast themselves. Maybe these particular humans are aware of a carnivorous type of bear and know that they eat meat."
Zephram thought that in his many years, they would bring up a humans' fears. "What would you do if a large beast comes out of no where and terrorized you? You'd be afraid too." Zephram added.

Zaius shook his head, returning to his seat. After fitting in his chair, his palm slapped the tabletop. "Not scared? I don't believe that." He snorted, swaying his hand over at Rowan and Bartu. "Please imply if this creature had informed if she was scared or not." He turned at Maximus. "If she is, then another point is proven that either she's good at bluffing and got the first stage of losing the child."

Allie sat straight up on the table, as she was called a liar! She didn't do any of the sort! Nor did she falsify anything about being afraid of bears! Allie didn't understand why this would have any bearing on this matter. Maybe she should have kept her big mouth shut and not talk about being afraid of bears.
She looked over to Serenity- partially for help. Then she looked at the quiet vet, who hadn't spoken a word since, and then Zephram who was trying to take control over the situation. But seemingly failing miserably. The second vet wasn't going to talk at all unless called. Then looking down at the floor, gauging the distance between the floor and the table. It wasn't that high.
Allie could refuse to answer the next question because to her, they were blaming her- for her child's death.
