It was a pleasant, heated, brilliant day. Nikita hadn't ever accessed this country in the past, not even when her parents, years ago visited. She had one chance with her departed husband, but that completed swiftly. Perceiving that Elisabeth was more mellow than her own children at times, concluded she should join her. Nikita wasn't very thrilled from last nights encounter. In fact, she persists to be ticked. No creature terrorizes her family over silly, corruptible patrols. Instead of remaining fumed at the council, and their guards, she picked to go site seeing. She didn't want to ruin her children's' 'vacation'.
At first, Nikita was lost. This capital was massive compared to at home, over the seas. Ultimately, she found an information stand, enlisting the majority of what you'd know. Events, sections, eateries, tours. After going through the main page, and retaining Elisabeth close, even on a leash. She knew how this curious human would go into crisis without hearing it. She didn't need a repeat from last evening's episode.
After following a common director for a long two hours, they belatedly wandered to the few transportations that were available. She declined to take any watercraft, she had arrived here in one. Intending on another swift transportation, she'd spot two different ones. One was aerial while the other resembled a cylinder train. What would be more fun? Viewing the city from the skies, or from the sides? She smiles, venturing over to the crafts.
Seems like she wasn't the only one on that purpose, to observe the city from the skies. There had been quite the list to enter. Nikita didn't mind, as long as Elisabeth did not act up. She tenderly draws the deaf creature closer to her, getting into the thick line. She was a very patient ape. Dealing with all the things she has, she'd require to be.
"Alright, Elisabeth, please, just remain here," she signs, then adjusts her daughter's dress that was on Elisabeth. "We don't need issues," she adds, then stands back up. "I have something if you might get jittery. You, humans, are so picky, however," she focuses on reading the others signs around. Primarily other pads to land on.

Elisabeth was thoroughly embarrassed because she couldn't figure out why she had to stay on the leash. She was impatiently trying to get off it. Not really wanting to be in one place for so long. Even as well as trying to find brochures to read. Elisabeth was not known for her patience of waiting in line. She began to walk the length of the leash- That awful leash restricting her ability to move freely around and see how far that line was.
She made an inconsiderate groan in her voice. "Oh come on! Hurry up!" She said impatiently. "Let's get a move on!! Of course, being deaf was harder to know what sounds were. There were vibrations everywhere and they were frustrating to her. They were all mechanical and it made her want to really- bolt. She was unfamiliar with the vibration.
Then she tried to remain closer to Nikita, seeking her comfort. Even as well as holding onto her arm..."Strange machines." She could feel them through her shoes.

Elisabeth was embarrassed, very unlikely. She wasn't the one that had a disobedient pet. Nikita was patiently waiting as she would anywhere. She didn't think Elisabeth was going to be an issue or fight. Since she was finally out in the open. She was wrong, Elisabeth was acting worse.
Nikita grapples the leash and reels it in over her wrist, already noticing where she was planning to go. If venturing around, nearly touching other apes wasn't enough, her pet decided to yell, ordering the crowd. She immediately drags her back, sighing.
"Please, not now," she lightly sighs, signing. "Don't holler.." she muffles, as others began to condemn her pet, some about her. What a lovable line.
The older orangutan a few apes ahead screeched with annoyance, "Don't you know how to muzzle your mutt?! She's demanding apes! She needs to be taught who reins!"
"Ugh! Seriously? It's enough we have to wait in line, but a mutt calling out?" one complained from behind, rolling her sharp eyes. She flung her arms in the air. "Muzzle her!" she demanded.
Nikita winces, lowering her ears as the embarrassment grew. There was no way she'd leave Elisabeth behind. But she sure was stirring many apes to anger. Perhaps they can do it another time. She was not going to put up with the harsh words from Elisabeth's mistake.
"What kind of owner are you? Allowing your mutt to give orders?" If that holler wasn't bad, other apes decided to leave. One even venture off to the authorities. Talk about a snobby nutcase.
Nikita elevates her hand, giving in. "Alright, alright, that's enough. I'm gone," her head shakes, walking off. She hauled Elisabeth by the leash. She skips her disturbing eyes over to the ape. "There wasn't need for that," she huffs, proceeding to walk off.
She found a lonely bench and plops on it. The line only budged an inch. Talk about slow. She glares over at Elisabeth, but that was shortened. "A muzzle? No that's not necessary."

Elisabeth didn't understand why every single ape wanted her muzzled, and punished for a simple misunderstanding of why there were lines. She hadn't meant anything by her outburst. It was because she didn't know what 'waiting in line' meant since she never had to wait in line. And to make matters worse for Elisabeth- reading parts of the other apes words were, digging into her.
It made her want to go back to the orphanage- to her bed- to her comforts and familiarity. Before she had a second thought, she was being hauled away and Nikita heads to a bench. As she looked up at Nikita, she only saw a glare and turned away. Now it made her want her comforts and familiarity even more. She tugged on an uncomfortable collar and gulped.
The saw the line slowly inching forward. Elisabeth said nothing or even signed anything. She just couldn't believe this was all her fault- again- and being a curious pup was having more of a disastrous result. Guess this was always going to be her fault. She wasn't even meaning what she did.
Next, she didn't bother to look around. What was the use anyway? She thought.

Nikita gently glimpses over to the long line, softly sighs. She really shouldn't allow a few apes to talk her down, but they were beyond rude. And now that they alerted the authorities? Seriously? Nikita believes the line was overstressed, but the cops? Seriously.
Few apes continued with their slight complaining to cheering on for her to depart. She shook his head, deciding to depart. She gently takes Elisabeth's leash, bringing her closer. She softly strokes her extended locks. She sweetly smiles down at her. "It's not your fault, it's just overreacting apes."
She forlorn looks down at Elisabeth, then over to the crowd. "Come, Elisabeth," she instructs in voice and in sign language. "We don't need to be around this, we can just walk I guess," she muffles, strolling away.
As if it couldn't get any worse, the alerting authorities walk over to Nikita. One place a firm hand on her shoulder. "Wait, wait, miss," he demands her to pause. "I had complaints about your mutt," he informs, information she already knew.
Nikita sighs, willingly turning around. "I'm aware of that, officer. Look, I'm leaving, so there's no point to add any actions," she softly mentions, continuing on her way.
Of course, he didn't give in just yet. "If I see that mutt back, insert a muzzle, okay miss?" he coldly says walking away.
Nikita secretly rolls her eyes. "Don't bother Elisabeth, they're just stingy in these states," she signs. She casually departs from the Aerial Crafts. "Pah," she complains, standing, examine the massive capital. You could easily get lost, but she had a map now. Which, she plucked out and view it.

Elisabeth felt a little better, but not at all when she watched- the patrol officer- come over, insisting that the next time she was ever seen, she'd have a muzzle. Well, if they were displeased about her voicing a complaint about the long line. It was only natural to be impatient on a long line.
Then before leaving, Elisabeth looked worried as Nikita was told to put a muzzle on her. She didn't know why or what reason a muzzle was to be used. And the term mutt was such an insult to her that she turned into a blush. She took offense to that. It wasn't a pleasant term and that her voice and hands were means of communication for her. She read every single word that the patrol said.
She rolled her eyes and stiffened with anger towards the ape. But she didn't want to show anger out of fear of being arrested herself. And then she'd be muzzled and her hands tied. Then couldn't answer any question they threw out at her. She shook her head, already feeling that she would be in deep trouble. She took deep breaths to keep her from blurting out something rude. She was led away, with her thoughts. It was bad enough to already be deaf, but must she be mute also? She despised that concept. "Deaf and mute." She ground out. "Excellent combination. Might as well cut my vocal cords to shut me up and cut my hands off so I can't sign either." She saw that Nikita was reading a map. Elisabeth didn't know anything about this city, but walking seemed to be fine for her.

She listens to Elisabeth condemn herself. the poor little creature being harassed and rudely called at. Nikita sighs, lowering the map, then sadly looks over.
Firstly, she signs at Elisabeth, "don't be so harsh in yourself, " her facial expression displays her feelings as she physical spoke. "Ever since arriving, the patrols seemed to despise us." She sighs, dropping her hands on her lap. "don't let it bother you, we'll just avoid them, " she utters.
She rose off the bench, giving one full glare over at the cop, then the people in line. After, she settles the map onto the bench and wanders away. She didn't care anymore.
Nikita pondered if the line was too long because they were having issues from the crafts? regardless, she didn't want to deal with under pressure, snotty apes. She can understand their frustration but taking it out of a human?
Regardless, Nikita decides to go another route. Hoping this one had barely any apes She hoped Elisabeth, this time wouldn't act up. Her annoyance easily fades, as she continues to walk. She arrives at the Swifttwist. What was that? She'd never heard of it. Curious got the best of her to go discover it.
Before entering the group for the next round. She gently tugs the leash to Elisabeth trying to revive her attention. She signs, "please if you have any issues, let me know before you skyrocket another ape, who is already frustrated or angered." she gently strokes her head. "After this ride, I'll give you a treat." she sweetly bargains.

Elisabeth knew why they despised them so much. It would be based only on her observation and began to sign instead of speaking so no one would overhear her. It was easy to observe their behavior. "They despise you and I because they were looking forward to keeping you imprisoned and word gets around quickly in a small space." She knew how it worked because in the orphanage, it was small, but word always gets around. Then again, she was harsh on herself and showed because she felt like she was being singled out for being human.
How long could an ape wait in line before they began to lose their tempers themselves. "Besides," she further signs. "why wait for a long time in a line when there's that interesting concept of exploring through the city by some other means?" It was true. But the map, she took just before Nikita could leave it on the bench. It would serve to be smart to have a map in case they got lost and could find their way through it.
She followed, keeping the folded map in her hands. Hopefully Nikita wouldn't get mad just because she took it. She liked the sound of a 'treat' but she hadn't even considered what kind of 'treat' it was.

Nikita frowns, directing her eyes in another direction. She pauses for a moment, pondering on the assumption Elisabeth had wisely created. Where these citizens really think that? Or perhaps it was the long wars that might have killed loved ones? That idea drifted in her mind.
She pats Elisabeth on the shoulder, gently lifting her chin by her other hand. "Elisabeth, I think you're correct. They have a chance to have the enemy ruler in bars, they would do it." she drifts her eyes somewhere else. "I'm still pondering if I did the correct thing here. Ever since I have arrived here, I've been treated wrongly,"
She lowers her finger. "Elisabeth, don't allow the others, what they said taunt or even control you," she strictly states, not wanting words to bring her down as others had done to her. She slowly drifts back, warmly smiling. "I'm not going to allow some outrageous apes stop me from my wanting to see." she dips her head.
"I think it is broken, Elisabeth. I was waiting there for hours." she decides to sit down for a moment. "I missed good views by the stupid line," she shakes her head. She sighs, rising back up. She fingers Elizabeth to follow.
"Come, let's just get going," she strolls over to the train. She leans against the side. "We'll just ride this one. Wish they had one for just a small family," she shakes her head. She peers down at Elisabeth. "How are your shoes treating you? I'm sure you're not used to them."

Elisabeth turned to look. "Jeez! Any bright eyed individual could feel and sense the wrong vibrations coming from it." She rolled her eyes. They were going to stand there a long before they realized a human was right and they should be apologetic to them both. She didn't really speak about the issues of a working item. She may have never been in one of these, but she sure has a sense of smell that's better than most. "Besides, it truly reeks like a mix of ozone and something else."
Then she follows Nikita when she sees her beckon her. "Do I have to wear a leash? Honestly? I don't see why I have to be dragged around on a leash. It really sucks." She still follows and talks all the way to the train. Then she looks down at her feet. They were fine. "Fine. They feel better than those others. They always used to hurt." She was walking better than usual. Had more energy. "Oh...look! See! The other one doesn't work." She pointed to the train. Of course it didn't work because they were working on it. "You know what? You might want to tell that mile long travesty of a line that they should find other alternative transportation."

Nikita grimaces, another call out? She can't openly use her sign language to reveal her rage? Ugh, she's going to be a handful. Elisabeth preferred her when she didn't want any pets from this judgmental place. She quietly settles her finger on Elisabeth's lips.
"Please, please Elisabeth. I'm already in difficulty with being a faulty image to the irrational people here. Can, you just please keep your opinions to herself?" she somewhat appealed, not desiring to be harsh, but she just might have to next time. Her endurance is gently fading. She's a very patient ape.
She glimpses down at Elisabeth who exclaims out the errors with the broken down train. For a moment she shook her head. "Uh, yes. I hate having any of my pets on a leash. But last night, you almost got hit. I don't want that occurring again," she explains, with a faded frown, stroking Elisabeth's head. "You earned yourself the leash."
She smiles, subduing her frown. "I'm glad they're good. Better? Perhaps I need to buy you similar shoes at the pet store," she rubs her chin, peering around. "But I don't think they sell similar shoes from ape to human?" she muffles, hoping they would.
There is it, that holler. Though she was correct. She anxiously smiles, looking around as the stares grew on the two. Oh, no. Not again. She gently hauls Elisabeth back. "Why do you have so much energy? I haven't even given you a treat." she drops her head. "Aye, I yi..." She bounces her eyes peering over to the group. Maybe they might listen?

Elisabeth was shifting foot to foot. Even as her lips were shut with a finger. Her eyes weren't sad. They were worried eyes, the type that seemed to see that they may be working on it, but despite it. It was going to be a bad bad sign. It didn't smell good and she knew that these apes were stupid or don't notice anything. Gah...Pah!
The only way she could ever speak was through her fingers. When she signed, it was quick even urgent. "But that train's gonna crash because they don't smell bad stuff." She couldn't explain it, didn't know. But the smell of that train penetrated her one of her smelling senses. She may have been far, but it was the faint tinge of that smell that traveled this far. Apes and humans were going to die if they didn't fix that train more properly. "Please? Believe me. It smells awful! Like two combustible liquids are mixing in a fuel hose- or something that shouldn't be mixing together will. It'll explode and fall off these wooden plank things."
She didn't know what to do since no ape believed her anyway when she was again, told to keep her opinions to herself. But Elisabeth was compassionate every living being. It was like she was being shut down and told off once again. She huffed when it came out that way. She wasn't excited on purpose- it was her adrenaline and the leash keeping her from running to the crowd to disperse them. "But they're all going to die."

Nikita was too stressed to understand what her human had sensed. She had unintentionally drawn her out, ignoring her jittery, hollering warning. She figured it was another episode to degrade apes, further, or even retaliate in anger when they were harsh back.
It took her a moment, to catch some inhalations, and finally open her eyes. She wasn't familiar with machinery or what chemicals were correct. She glances down at Elizabeth, displaying a disturbing grimace, bouncing her eyes between the angry guests on the train and back to her pet. She curled her lip inward, pondering. But each moment that passed was more deadly.
Was she serious, can this human predict. At first, she was skeptical, looking over. Risk something much far worse in trying to go forth on an assumption of the train, or ignore it and continue with no problems with the public. She had been already embarrassed, condemn, wanted for jail time. Ugh was it worth it?
Explode, death? Oh, this was a very critical response. One that could bring the treaty away, and form a war. She intently stared into her eyes, studying them. The fumes continued to grow worse. Nikita wasn't familiar with it. The innocence and pleading clouding Elisabeth's eyes. No way this was fake.
"Gah!" she brought forth her compassion that had troubled her many situations. She didn't want the apes to perish if a chance. She scurries over, draws out a gun. With an intent fear of what might happen next, the orders them, but it wasn't as harsh as someone would predict.
"Off! Now, get off! Or..." she was horrid at this, and highly regret it. She wasn't sure what she was saying. Intense sweat streamed down her face, with a light shifting of her body. She could not stand what she was doing. "Or, I'll," she sighs. "shoot," she muffles. "That human says it will explode, go on and get off," so crazy this attempt was.
It did not take one moment before the families, and single apes hastily left the station. Threatening families?! This is just, cruel. Young chimps began to wail as their mothers drew away, far away.
If that wasn't worse, the security guard that was crossed with her before didn't pause to bolt over with his pistol already prepped. "Alright, you freeze! Don't shoot, or I will!" he warns.
Nikita froze, uncertain. But she did not want more trouble, she tosses it. "I believe this human," she utters. "You should be pleased, but no you're frightened by what's in front and not wanting to understand the reasons."

Elisabeth wouldn't ever really lie if something didn't bother her. Then all the passengers got off the train. Some of them murmuring about an addled human pet. Elisabeth shook her head. She was far from addled, but the smell was much worse in the cabin than outside.
Upon, seeing the security guard, she quickly tried to defend Nikita on her actions. "There's a smell! Can't you smell it?" The smell was bothering her eyes, making them tear even. So she was a little more sensitive. The families were all off the train thankfully and sharing glares at the two of them as they passed. Glares! Anger.
-0-
There was an even greater commotion outside of the train and Elisabeth saw a 'well-to-do' ape and although the smell got to her. Titus marched over to the security guard. "Lower your gun. Now. You'll set off a chain reaction." Then he turned to his crew. "Locate the leaks from both trains, immediately. We cannot afford- to lose any more valuable customers."
-0-
Many apes were far from the trains now and the crews could investigate further. The only ones remaining were, Nikita, Elisabeth, and Titus. Titus glanced over to the pup who looked at him. It took 25-45 minutes before the crews located the leaks and everything that Elisabeth said, was actually true.
-0-
Elisabeth seemed to visibly relax because she could no longer sense the smell. But however, she didn't really believe they would even believe her. Even the well-to-do ape. But then he walked over to Nikita and Elisabeth. "Your pup has a very astute sense of smell." He patted her on the head.

Nikita's strong ears caught some of the murmurs. It wasn't pretty, even a few death threats by their own people. She was afraid of this, murmurs, despisings, hatred. This is seriously not a good image. Seems every time she goes somewhere it just isn't kind. Arriving, the hotel, the prison, and now the trains.
She threatened apes, in front of her pet, and her daughter. She will fell ill for a while. The thought of shooting an innocent would haunt her thoughts. She'd prayed if this was all worth it. Going into a high danger zone and taking action. Those poor apes would be haunted for months or more.
She smiles when her own pet was defending her, too. Well, what an honorable pet. Isn't that how it should be?
What a great relief it was to have a dangerous directed. If that wasn't bad the news would try to enter, thirsty for a serious story. Of course, what else? Having your image plastered everywhere. SOme only do the worse of it and don't do the whole story. Sickening honestly.
She watches the CEO take action. Well, at least he was very dedicated to his career. She, of course, was forced to remain there until they had everything cleaned up. She removes Elisabeth's leash, already planning ahead.
Then he approaches over to congratulate her. That was the first. No ape ever gives humans credit. She forms a small smile, gently grasping Elisabeth's blue sleeve. "She really is unique and I love her," she admits. HEr ears pop up, listening to the sounds she did not like.
Slowly she reverses. "Uh, thank you for your kindness to Elisabeth, some just don't seem to listen." she dips her head. "But, I really need to go before the press enter here now everything is cleared," she states reversing. "Already have a bad image, and with the authorities coming, yeah."
