Titus held open the door for Nikita and Elisabeth. It seemed that since they were having a tour, he'd treat them both to lunch. He hoped that it wouldn't be too much for the deaf human. But she seemed unfazed by it. He noticed a lot of the dinner crowd were looking his way and eyeing the human with much curiosity. He guessed they had heard of her heroism. Unheard of.
As Elisabeth walked into the restaurant, she was very distracted, looking around curiously. Almost like this was actually new to her. And it was. She had been in the cafeteria at her old home, but they served themselves. She walked up towards the first table, and observed a waiter or waitress take orders. She caught, "Martini" and a few other drinks. She blinked, not aware of the drinks. What was a martini and why did it have an olive in it? She shrugged.
Titus walked over to her and tapped her shoulder lightly and she jumped, some of the items, falling to the floor. Luckily, no one was harmed or injured. She hadn't been aware that she had her hand on those items. The only thing keeping her from running was a leash and collar. Fortunately, Titus took care of the fallen items, apologizing for what she had done. "And being deaf in both ears is hard. She doesn't hear." He went ahead and also said, "So there's no point in getting angry over a simple little mistake."
He led her back to Nikita.

Nikita smiled on the way and on the arrival of the luxurious restaurant. She was very jittery on the thought of being away from all the chaos and wrongfully accusing apes. It was pleasant to finally enjoy herself with a good ape and her own human.
Just as she believed there wouldn't be any more chaos and no wrongdoings, a clatter pierced into her ears. She frowns, observing Titus hastily fix up the situation. Who was the cause? Ah, Elizabeth.
Nikita sighs, gently reeling Elisabeth back over. She grabs her by the side and hauls her over to Nikita, seated next to her. "Ah, we don't get up and gather our food. No, we simply order it, " she explains with no hint of anger. She smiles over at Titus. "Thank you. Much appreciated."
She adjusts her warm gaze on Elisabeth. "I'm leery on giving you sugar."

Titus was relieved that there were no further issues regarding the human. Curiosity he felt was sometimes a curse and everyone knew it was trouble. Curious fingers equaled trouble. Well, he hadn't meant to startle Elisabeth by simply tapping her shoulder. He sat her next to Nikita and took a seat across from them.
Then he added, "Unless you're at the salad bar. Then it's different. You can pick your food."
Elisabeth blinked as she read lips and shrugged as she didn't really see any issue with getting her own food. "We order food from a - waitress or waiter?" She decided she wanted to try that martini. And a waitress walked up to the table and introduced herself to them. She asked what drinks they would like. Well, that was Elisabeth's cue to chime in for a green drink with an olive in it. It was her choice on what she wanted.
Titus chuckled. "That's called a martini, silly human." He nodded to Nikita. "You're welcome. Curiosity always causes some trouble."

Nikita amusingly chuckles, looking over at the kind waitress that walks over. She dips her head in courtesy. Before she was able to inform of her own beverage, Elisabeth hastily shot out her desired drink. Well, there goes her manners. Kindly, Nikita grips the menu, gently descending it down from ELisabeth.
"Oh, no, no you're not getting one of those," she declares, and hastily adds, "they're more for apes, not even young apes drink them," she tries to explain in pure honesty. Those drinks weren't. She places another drink menu in front of ELisabeth. "If you had one, there is no way you could handle it."
She softly glances over to Titus. "Thanks for the clarification,' she dips her head, then focuses back on the waitress. "Just water," she quietly answers. She sweetly smiles over at Titus. "Thanks for inviting me out."

Luckily, the waitress knew an underage human who didn't know anything about drinks. She chuckled lightly. "Silly human indeed. We can't serve drinks to humans."
Elisabeth didn't know what the harm was in a drink. It looked good and she was given another menu. She couldn't believe what she saw. It was a children's menu. Why was she given a children's menu? She was stuck with food that she didn't even know how to pronounce. When she spoke, it was very garbled.
Titus noticed that the human could read, but how she spoke was very garbled.
Elisabeth decided, "Ooka Ola." Well, that was close to what she was reading. "Ooka Ola." She pointed at the words, "Coca Cola." So darn close.
Titus looked over to Nikita. "You're welcome. Pleasure's all mine."

Nikita warmly chuckles when the waitress had confirmed Nikita's declination of an alcoholic beverage she tried to order. Her head pivoted side to side once. She wouldn't mind if she was much older. She's witnessed uncomfortable and disturbing events from intoxicated humans, even her own older species.
"See? Perhaps a few years older. Besides, these cup sizes are much smaller here than back where I'm from," she signs to Elisabeth, not caring who seen it.
She taps Elisabeth, smiling, "coca cola. Waitress. I'd like water" she answers, then looks over to Titus. "What about you?" she asks. She smiles, returning to Elisabeth. "Get what you like, within reason," she adds before Elisabeth would get something not for a humans.

The waitress wrote two drinks on her little pad, and turned to Titus. "And for you sir?" She noted that Nikita was signing to the human. So that meant she was deaf.
Titus looked at the menu and ordered a Coca Cola. Usually he would drink an alcoholic drink, but he wouldn't this time. He smiled at the waitress as she went off to get the drinks.
"Don't worry about the price." Titus said.
Elisabeth was reviewing the menu and then she frowned as each menu item was a little hard to understand and read. She shouldn't have had to worry because the waitress returned with their drinks and a picture menu with all their food items. "I have a deaf brother. It's easier to see pictures than words."
Elisabeth took the menu and looked at each picture. All of them looked good and she pointed to what she believed was familiar. It was a large salad with chicken pieces. She could eat the whole thing. It had fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, and strawberry vinaigrette. "Good choice."

Nikita wouldn't judge him even if he sipped an alcoholic beverage. It's his choice and want. She didn't know if he drank or not. She smiles over at Titus. She was a little stunned that he didn't have any other drink but a soft drink. She hovers her head down at Elisabeth.
She didn't worry about the price, nor did that cross her mind. "Oh? I really wasn't thinking about." She muffles, questioning, "are you getting it, then, Titus?" She darts her eyes over at him. She lightly smiles. "Thanks for tonight. I needed it after all that has happened recently."
After the waitress left, she gathers the menu in her grasp, using a small nail to flip through the elegant menu. "I agree, pictures do work better," she confirms whoever states it. She was quiet for awhile, even when the waitress returns. "Thank you," she utters, returning to the menu.
Once Elisabeth orders, she goes on next. "Just chicken alfredo," she answers while adding, "Extra parmesan cheese, okay?"

Titus nodded, "I'll gladly pay for our meals. It's all on me, since this city does owe you a whole lot more than it has. It's foolish to treat another like a common pest." He shakes his head. "Unbelievable. Dishonorable to treat other leaders like they're nothing but a smear on the shoe." He glanced over to Elisabeth, noticing that she was easily able to order from a picture menu. That was great that she was able to order. He actually picked one of the salads and some nice grilled chicken.
The waitress took all their orders and went to go put it in.

Nikita became puzzled at Titus. Why was he still helping her out, even purchasing their dinner? She wasn't upset, nor, annoyed, just simply curious. It really was sweet of him. All apes have a tender side, just some are very deep.
Nikita glaces down at her fingers, cheerily smiling. It was nice to have some respect and a good time. "Thank you, Titus. At least you view from a positive perspective." She sighs, peering back to him. "No offence, but your country here seems like it's falling apart."
After Titus looks at Elisabeth, so does Nikita. "It's interesting how a human could pick you, instead of you picking them. They seem to obviously bond easier," she utters to herself. "It would be hard to buy a human when there's a chance one you're not viewing, could quietly bond."

Titus was a true 'ape' with morals. "My parents brought me up well to respect everyone. Including royal apes. If there's no respect for royal apes, then there's nothing left. No allies. And nothing but butting heads." Titus explained. "This country lacks a decent 'president'." He whispers. "If they had a president that would take into 'consideration', that rulers visit and if they're treated like you are, they would go straight home and prepare for war." He shifted his gaze to Elisabeth. "It isn't Elisabeth's fault. I'm sure that she did the same exact things in her village. And they should not be 'silenced'." Titus said. "Humans have a 'means of communication' and they do speak. If only the high Council would listen instead of being hardheaded. I've been doing some intelligence tests on one of my humans I obtained from the jungle. She showed intelligence. Solved many complicated puzzles, basic mathematics, equations, and spelling. Some one is teaching wild humans how to read, write, and solve problems."
Elisabeth was paying attention and reading Titus' lips. She could understand and she had her own rhetoric. "Because my village has a school." Fortunately, she was one of the teachers. "And they all know how to sign and read sign." She may have been 18. She wasn't a 'kid'.
The waitress returned with their drinks. Elisabeth was glad to have some cola and drank some.

Nikita wasn't really listening. Poor Titus was basically blocked out. It wasn't his doing, just a few specific words only brought negativity. Titus was being truthful and honest. She wasn't at all pleased to be in this specific country. Plus the 'President' is a joke.
She rose her hand, wanting him to stop. She gently shook her pristine glass. "I, uh, yeah," she muffles, at a fault to respond. She smiles, looking back over to Titus. "However you're correct. Respect is needed here, you and that other High Council member reveals you have some," she sighs, releasing her glass.
Her brows furrowed at his assumption. Strange that his biography enlists his hatred towards humans. Why would he even care? There animals anyway. She was aware of some intelligence lurking around the world. Should she imply her theory or just enjoy the night.
"Renegades are a big one, then Overlord camps," she quietly informs him. "I'm sure you contain them here, just more simpler escape. I mean they don't even try to escape where I reign from. The wicked snowstorms would en any life."
She lazily glides her over to Elisabeth. She didn't speak back. She didn't want to sign, anyone could read it. She simply smiles.

Titus finished speaking about some things he felt were 'necessarily' right. Nearly everything he had spoken about was the honest truth. There were no respectful apes it seems, excluding himself and Maximus. He noted that the council was not really 'respectful' to the needs of it's fellow citizens and the humans here, had a hard life. He glanced over to Elisabeth. She wasn't really adjusting well due to the fact that she was still in the world of silence. He figured it must be maddening not to hear voices, music, and nature.
Shifting his gaze to Nikita as she talks about animals not really attempting to escape or flee. Well, the winters were probably deadly to humans. "They have no way to keep warm unless given layers." He agreed. "They would freeze to death in a matter of seconds."
-0-
Elisabeth read the words, 'Their animals'. "I beg your pardon." Her voice came out..obviously, she was aware of what they were talking about. "I'm not an uncivilized animal."
-0-
Titus blinked as Elisabeth informed that she was no uncivilized animal.
