Eve was being drawn to the cages, as she was latterly taken. She wasn't certain she was doing after her master had been slain. The jungles were deeply distinctive from her birth country. It was extremely humid, and warm here. A coat was dressed on her, but here, she didn't require it, which appeared odd. She'd been accustomed to the frigid conditions. As they were transporting certain humans to various districts, she took that opportunity to bolt off. When they were approaching for the next human, though, this one was wounded. Yes, go, get out. She hastens past a pair. Of course, two others were alerted nearby. One stretches to seize her, she leaps, clasps his shoulder and bounces off. She settles on her two feet, returning to bolt. Defense patrols on the side directed their guns demanding, loudly, "'halt', 'cease', 'freeze'. Did she delay? Negative, she was on the run. Why end now? However, it wouldn't continue long, or would it? She was powerfully grasped around the neck by a giant gorilla. His sinister scowl and rough exterior reveal he was not amused. Eve winces grasping his beefy arms. Several protecting apes was advancing in her corner view. Ugh. Good thing she was excellent with flames, even carrying the item she practices daily in acts. She brought out a lighter, igniting the ape's coat. She maliciously smiled, savoring the inferno. "Fire is not a gentle master?" She ruthlessly cackles. Once forcefully dropped, then she scampers off. Instead of the patrols going after, they tended the burning ape. For a moment she glimpsed back to view the chaos she created. Faintly she smiles in glee, then proceeds on. Elisabeth

Maximus was walking up the way, after his interrogation with Aurora, it had met with a roadblock. While walking, he bumped into a human and grabbed her neck. "Oh what's this? A human attempting to escape from every ape?" He noticed she was different. "Hmm...Maybe I should claim you as my pet or send you to target practice."
Fortunately, he was in a good mood. Otherwise, if he wasn't, he would be worse. Much worse. He smirked as she dangled in mid-air. About 10 feet from the ground. He was surveying her like a piece of important stock. "You are in good shape."
He considered his options. She wasn't caged. But she would do nicely. "My other human is a Renegade and you could be my new pet."

Perhaps it would have been more vigilant instead of enjoying the wicked flames that extremely drawn her attention, and she drifted into a random direction. Well before being randomly plucked off the ground, ruthlessly. It seems they were extinguishing the ape, was that good? Killing her flame, now, now.
Her vicious smile swiftly depleted after being removed from the ground. She drops the lighter, and yips. Oh, he was intimidating, on the exterior. She winces, glaring for a moment in his intense scowling eye. For a moment she drifts her sights over to the burning ape. Hah, at least they can't sue her. For one second she smirks.
She glares over back over, gripping his broad arms to relieve some harshness to his tough grip. The coat she was draped in didn't help the weight. What is it with the apes and clasping around the neck? Really, their might could crush a windpipe without trying. But would they? Most likely not.
"You're not my master, my other," she muffles. "Just release me, I don't belong to you," she hisses.

Maximus smirked. "Where's your master then, human?"
He swung around looking for him or her. He still didn't let her down. This time, looking for a collar or a microchip. "I think I'll take you to the cages so that your master can claim you. You have no business being in the supply department-" Then he noticed the ape on fire and looked down at the lighter. "You are a liar. You will go directly to the cages. If there is a master, he will claim you."
He picked up the lighter and tossed it to an ape behind him. Then he headed in the direction of the cages. He was careful of her windpipe.

oh, her master? Right, right. Oddly murdered on the spot, and robbed. What was the motive? Expecting quite the lump sum money from being a tourist. They are daily mugged. But kill? Isn't that a bit too much? Then again she wasn't listening, strong-headed she was.
Then he surveys around to even discover her owner. Well, that would be difficult since she's likely to be in a morg, or still there? Eve doubted. Someone had to find her by now. She grips tighter as she was ruthlessly swung. Gah! that really stings the nape. Remain still!
Then he inspects around her nape for a collar or even a microchip. Well, she was never tagged from her owner. Her collar was broken off when she fell off a branch and another caught her collar. She'd fight, preventing from strangulation. It broke eventually.
She lightly winces when he discovers her vicious act. "He wouldn't let go." she muffles a strange reason.
Cages? A heck no she was not going to end up there again, just for being a lost pet for the second time. She winces, tired of his swaying. "Gah! She's dead!" she hollered, her nape already aching between the branch and the last ape. "She was murdered after arriving here. She wasn't the only one that got shot. Her name was Sentra. I bolted as she demanded. It's probably on your news feed!" She grasps his arms, "Is that what you wanted to here? Now let go!" she demands once again.

Maximus stopped looking for her owner and decided not to let go. Instead, he grasped her shirt collar instead. "Well, in that case. You belong to her estate so you must return to her estate and have her family decide what to do with you."
He began to walk towards a different area with her in tow. He was heading to the police district to have them deal with her. "Very well. I don't know where you live and since you are a pet of hers, I'll have to ensure you're safely returned to her estate." Maximus didn't know where her owner lived. It wasn't going to be easy either. Especially if she lived in a country that would require a ship to travel.

What family? Sentra couldn't have children of their own so they took on Eve when she was younger. At times treated her more like a pet, then an actual child. Her other family in another country had disowned her for another belief that that highly disagreed with. The only one that was around was Calico, but he vanished after taking a trip. Ransom? Possibly.
She shakes her head, "what family? That estate is going to the bank," she clarifies gripping the coat collar he grasps. "Even placed it in her will to prevent her other family to claim it," she adds. What a weird system they had established here. Do they even care how they're handling humans?
Her eyes widened, very aware of her next fate. Possibly handed down over to the deranged family. "I refuse to go back to New Zealand," She calls out. She fights to remain back. "Please, I don't exist there, that extended family doesn't know either.
She sighs, finding it futile to challenge his deadly might. She grasps his arm. " There is no record at all. Why do you think her missing 'pet' wasn't stated? Because she purposely contained no record, " she shares. "Please, don't send me back, " she pleads.

Maximus considered her answers as he walked to the patrol station. He paused in a mid-step and detoured. "Well, no owner, no family of your own, and your owner's family doesn't know you, then that makes you a - pet who should be put into the cages." His tone was light. He wasn't interested in torturing the female.
He headed towards his own manor. "Well, since I've found you, I could claim you as one of my own pets." Walking was good for him. But to carry her like this, it would really be horrid. He set her down and curled an arm around her waist. Then he hefted her over his shoulder, heading to his estate.
Once his guards saw him arriving, they opened the gate. He walked right in and walked up to his manor with the new human. He walked into his home, and closed the door. He brought the human down gently, setting her feet to the floor. "What is your name?"

Wow, what great relief on the back of her neck, when he paused for a moment. Do these apes even realize the pain and damage they could? Probably not. They view humans as nothing but animals, or worse. Well, humans likely view them as massive brutes. Heh. So far there's been a few brutes Eve had encountered.
No family? Owner, or even Sentra's family. Well, ouch. That's a little harsh. Basically claiming her as, basically nothing. Better off dead or even abandoned. Ouch, that really is cruel. A pet, that's it? Why not simple freedom? Since she basically doesn't 'exist'.
Ugh, a pet? Really. Wouldn't freedom just be a simple option? Slumped over a shoulder was better? Depends on who, it hurts the ribs to stomach. She grunts. "A pet? Why not simple freedom?" she implies a suggestion, that was likely to be severed.
She elevates her head, examining the antique structure. Well, that's more decorative and old? Definitely, something she's never seen. She noted the few bulky patrols. Was that necessary. who was this ape?
She surveys around the massive home once placed on her feet. It was hot, she hated the heat. She didn't glance up. Her name? She didn't know her birth. "Eve," she responds.

As Maximus walked, he answered her. "Because in this city, there is no such thing as true freedom for humans. Pets get freedom only in captivity and are obedient."
"Why is it hot in here?" He demanded, the moment that he felt hot. He would usually have the air conditioning on and running. A servant walked over and looked down. "I'm so sorry, sir. The air conditioning is not working right. We've opened all the windows and have fans running." Then he looked over to the human. "Oh. How sweet. A new pet?"
"Maybe." He said and turned to look at her. "Eve. My name's Maximus. I'm one of the council members in Central City."

Dang, that broke her belief on ever getting freedom. She winces for a moment, then furrows her brows. She peers over at him, like 'really?' She watches him walk away. She glimpses around. No freedom? Pah, what kind of place was this? Maybe there was a way out, but there were patrols throughout. Bah, perhaps later.
"None? Even if they earn their freedom? Back where I came from you do something historical or great, you get to be free," she explains, listening to him complain about the heat. It wasn't bad, she just despised it. She's used to the freezing temperatures. "Why is it so strict, and I guess, unfair?"
She removes her fur coat. Well, she's probably never going to need it. These temps were going to be very difficult to adjust to. She cringes at the word 'pet'. Gah, what a disgrace to be called. Simple freedom was it that hard?
Eve glimpses back up to him. She was about to repeat his name, but his occupation was different. Her brows furrowed, lowering her coat. "What's that?" she asks.

Maximus glanced over to her and explained, "The only way you can earn your freedom is to be brought in as a child and even then, it's rare." Then he said, "We have a hero who is a human. Saved Central City a lot of money for her brave act of alerting her owner of a probable train disaster. When the transportation crews looked, there were several issues with the trains. The human also saved more than a thousand apes and their pets from certain death. I am not sure whether or not she will earn her freedom...or not. It's up to Kratos and the high council." He looks at her.
"It means I'm a member of the government here." He gestured for her coat. "I can hang that up for you in the closet."

Eve blinks, taking a step back. "Your laws here are very weird," she mutters, rubbing the back of her neck. She fired perplexed eyes at an item of random furniture. "Our laws back at home would place such an act on a golden plate, along with a medal. Here you treat them more like slaves then an actual companion" she continues to muffles.
"Brave human, she'd would have earned beyond her freedom back at home. Too bad she wasn't there," she looks back at the door. "I was working on mine until I was sent to this sorry for a city," she shakes her head. She clutches her coat tighter. "No, I want to keep it," she states, prepping to fight him over it even if he tries.
She listens, keeping vigilant ears on him. "You're part of the government as you stated, you should be able to place the final decision on her fate? Right?" She asks, casually walking off, curious about the inside. She'd expect for him to stop her. She spots a few windows and stares at one for a bit.

"I haven't been able to get into a meeting with Kratos to discuss her freedom. The reporters are having a field day with the story about the hero human. They want to see her and take pictures of her. And she actually did more than just save countless apes and pet humans. She also saved the Queen of Sweden from being imprisoned as well. Whoever brought her up, trained her well."
Maximus chuckled. "Suit yourself. Your coat would have gone into the coat closet."

Eve travels between furniture and around some random ones. She nods, glimpsing over to Maximus. "Sounds like one brave, loved human," she pauses, looking at the window she casually got closer to, but trying not to seem suspicious. "She should be free, seems fair that is. I've never heard of an ape of doing such."
She shifts around completely facing him. "Queen of Sweden? He, talk about beyond heroic," she smiles, glancing forward. "That explains why Sentra would be here," she muffles to herself. Each view in the corner caught patrols. Pah. She quietly drew back.
She peers over to another room, the kitchen. Casually she heads into it. "He, I'm aware of where the coat would be. I just want to keep it close," she explains, continuing inside the pristine kitchen. How many of these rooms were in this place? She pops her head around. "You should totally set me free. I have no owner, well as you classify, nothing," she tries to bargain with him.
She peers down, then back over. "Or can I earn it? I don't mind starting all over to earn it."
